Chapter 86: Chapter 81 — “Beneath the Moonlight, Only Us”
Just Ren and Aoi—alone, in their quiet sanctuary.
They had both taken a break from work. No phones. No emails. They shut the world out for one reason: each other.
Aoi walked barefoot through the wooden hallway in one of Ren’s oversized shirts, her long hair slightly damp from a warm bath. Her eyes sparkled in the candlelight as she peeked into the bedroom. Ren was inside, lighting one final candle on the nightstand. The room was dim, warm, and filled with a stillness that was somehow both exciting and soothing.
She leaned against the doorframe. "Trying to seduce me, Mr. Husband?"
He turned, meeting her gaze. "Not trying. Waiting."
Aoi stepped into the room and closed the door behind her. She slowly crossed the floor, the silence thick with unspoken tension. The moment she reached him, she pulled him down into a slow, tender kiss—one that made time blur and hearts tremble.
They undressed each other with care, as if rediscovering the shape of love itself. No rush. No urgency. Just touch, breath, and closeness.
As Ren trailed his fingers down her bare back, Aoi whispered in his ear, "I want tonight to be everything."
"It will be," he promised.
They lay together under the softest sheets, skin against skin, heartbeat against heartbeat. Their bodies moved in harmony—sometimes gentle, sometimes passionate, always full of love. Aoi clung to Ren, her legs wrapped around his waist, and whispered promises between kisses. Ren held her like she was his whole world, worshiping every inch of her with his hands and lips.
The hours passed in waves of pleasure and whispered affection. Between their lovemaking, they paused to laugh, to share snacks, to cuddle under the stars through the open window, and to fall in love over and over again.
And when midnight came, Aoi lay curled up on his chest, breath steady, fingers lightly tracing the scar near his shoulder from a battle long past.
"I want to be yours in every way," she murmured.
Ren kissed her hair. "You already are."
Aoi looked up at him, her eyes warm, filled with the kind of emotion no words could contain. "Then let’s... try."
He blinked. "Try?"
"For a baby," she whispered, cheeks flushed.
Ren smiled so softly it almost hurt. He leaned down, kissed her again—tenderly, lovingly—and murmured against her lips:
"Then let’s make this night the beginning of something even more beautiful."
Their hands clasped. Their bodies moved again, slower now—every motion a silent vow.
Outside, the moon glowed brighter, bathing their room in silver light.
And somewhere in the stillness, a new life quietly began.
