Chapter 115: “The Heaven Protocol Begins”
Chapter 115: Chapter 115: “The Heaven Protocol Begins”
The calm of Budapest faded into the background as Ren, Aoi, and their family returned to Tokyo. Lucia had already swept the skies, decrypted known communication nodes, and quarantined the villa from external surveillance. It was time.
Inside the hidden underground section of Ren’s AI lab — buried beneath layers of quantum encryption and steel — Ren stood before a long-forgotten design on a holographic display. The words blinked to life:
HEAVEN PROTOCOL — STATUS: ABANDONED DRAFT
Aoi, watching from a transparent observation platform above, placed her hand gently on the glass as Ren’s voice echoed through the lab.
"Lucia. Reactivate Heaven Protocol under private schema. Absolute clearance only. Let’s finish what I started."
"Confirmed. Reactivation in progress. Warning: Satellite uplink requires 120TB/sec transmission flow. Current capacity: 79%."
"Then we scale it. Bring the solar uplinks online. Pull power from the Arctic relay first."
Panels around the lab buzzed to life. The Heaven Protocol wasn’t just another AI. It was a satellite-linked real-time defense and global energy grid — a digital deity orbiting the Earth, created not to rule, but to protect one thing: Aoi, Hikari, and the life Ren had built with them.
Aoi’s Room Above the Lab
Later that evening, Aoi sat with Hikari on her lap, sketching possible interior layouts for a future satellite command hub, just for fun.
"You’re always dreaming up safe places, Ren," she whispered when he walked in. "You’re not planning to live in the sky too, are you?"
He smiled, kissed Hikari’s forehead, then cupped Aoi’s cheek.
"No. But I’ll build heaven itself to protect you."
Elsewhere: Daigo’s Fortress, Zürich
Daigo studied the intercepted fragments of satellite signals. He had cracked a whisper of it. Just enough to understand:
"Heaven Protocol... powered by solar fusion and quantum-node AI? He’s building a god."
A team of genetically-enhanced engineers stood around him, loading up a test subject inside a cryochamber.
"Initiate Project Hera," Daigo ordered. "Deploy her at 20% capability. We’ll let him build his heaven. Then we’ll send our demon."
The screen beside him lit up with a female silhouette — cold eyes, blank expression, and the file name: HERA_A01.EXE.
Back at Ren’s Lab: Underground Bay 03
Lucia’s voice purred through the lab:
"Satellite-1 operational. Earth scan grid at 12%. ETA to full global shielding: 41 days. Heaven Protocol online in: 65%."
Ren looked up at the diagram of Earth now slowly being enclosed in a protective data mesh.
"This time," he said, watching Aoi and Hikari on the screen, "they won’t even get close."
