Chapter 460: Chapter 227 This damn woman, she actually went on a blind date?_2

"Tsk," Kay Forrest gave Jane Quinlan a disdainful look, he had realized it already, this woman was truly as stubborn as a mule.

She really forced him to use his trump card, alright then.

Jane finished speaking and walked out.

She had just sat down for barely five minutes when Kay Forrest picked up his suit and walked out. As he passed by Jane, he casually said, "Assistant Quinlan, please work overtime during lunch and accompany me on a small errand."

Jane lowered her head and rolled her eyes, damn man, always using this trick.

But still, she obediently got up and dejectedly followed him out.

Lily knew that she would have to dine alone today at noon again.

Watching the two leave, Eden Howard silently looked towards the doorway.

Why does Director Forrest favor this unremarkable Jane Quinlan so much?

Why do all men fall for that kind of woman? It’s infuriating.

She then lifted her gaze towards Xavier getting up and walking out.

She sent Xavier a message, and after he glanced at it, he headed towards the stairwell.

"How did you think of actively seeking me out?"

Eden Howard instantly slapped Xavier across the face.

Xavier, dumbfounded, covered his face and yelled, "You woman, are you crazy?"

"I’m crazy? Xavier, you’ve messed up everything.

You ruined me, you ruined my brother, and you ruined yourself.

You’re just a fool; I can’t believe I ever got together with someone like you."

"You must really be crazy, biting whoever you see," Xavier yelled back at her.

"You’re the crazy one, you actually disclosed my brother’s issue to Director Forrest.

I’m telling you, I won’t let you off the hook, Xavier. I, Eden Howard, am at odds with you now.

I’d like to see how this penniless guy like you will find a job in the future."

"What do you mean? When did I disclose your brother’s issue to Director Forrest?

Do I look like I have nothing better to do?

I was pursuing you just yesterday, and today I’ve spilled your beans, why would I do something that harms others and doesn’t benefit myself?"

"Stop pretending," Eden Howard yelled, "Just now Director Forrest said it, asking you and me to resign voluntarily, so what if it’s about resigning.

I can still be supported by my family after leaving here, but you... huh, let’s wait and see."

Eden Howard flung open the stairwell door and walked out, leaving Xavier completely dumbfounded.

Resign? Why should he?

Kay Forrest took Jane Quinlan to a nearby western restaurant.

When the waiter came over to take the order, Kay Forrest asked Jane, "Shall I get you ten servings of steak? Is that enough?"

Jane glanced embarrassingly at the waiter then glared at Kay Forrest, this man, couldn’t live without causing her trouble, could he?

She gritted her teeth, "I’m not a pig; I want one serving of pasta, one of steak."

"Pigs can’t eat that much either," he said with a smirk, turning to the waiter, "Same as hers for me, plus two desserts and two juices."

Jane felt that Kay Forrest had turned bullying her into his amusement.

This is a very bad habit; she needs to train him properly, otherwise, her day-to-day life would be endlessly troublesome.

After the steak arrived, Jane asked while cutting the steak, "I saw Eden Howard went to you today, what does she want again?"

"Just some business matters."

Kay Forrest’s casual remark suddenly reminded Jane of when Xavier had deceived her.

She bit her lip, "When Eden Howard approached Xavier before, I asked him what they often talked about, and Xavier also told me it was just business matters."

"But we really were discussing business matters," Kay Forrest looked at her candidly.

Jane tightened her nose, "She dresses like that to see you, and you feel nothing?"

"Feel? Hmm... very pleasing to the eyes, nice figure.

But if she took off the thick padding, her figure isn’t necessarily better than yours; yours is genuinely good, still great without padding."

Jane gritted her teeth; praising that woman and yet not missing a chance to disgust her, what a jerk.

"You better erase anything about my figure from your mind."

"Can’t help it, I’d like to forget too, but alas, high IQ.

You, being a simpleton, wouldn’t understand that smart people have their own troubles."

Jane slammed her fork on the table: "Hey."

Immediately, numerous eyes around them gathered.

Jane cursed inwardly, what kind of jerk was this man?

"Look, you’re angry out of embarrassment. You should maintain a calm mindset while eating; otherwise, you’ll age and become ugly easily."

"I just asked you a question, look how you’ve cornered me.

Kay Forrest, if you didn’t want to answer, just say so, why be so infuriating?"

Kay Forrest stuffed a small piece of steak into his mouth and laughed as he watched her chewing vigorously.
