Chapter 435: Chapter 220 He Kissed Her Lips Passionately (1st Update)

He was lost in wild thoughts when suddenly the door to Jane Quinlan’s bedroom burst open.

Kay Forrest got a fright seeing Jane: "Can’t you be a bit gentler, woman..."

"Hey, big brother, in your eyes, am I a woman or a man? Can you give me a clear label?"

He mocks her as a man when it suits him but calls her a woman when he needs her.

The biggest problem with this guy is his fickleness.

He really thinks he’s got the art of tact mastered.

"You sure do talk a lot. Go cook already, I’m starving."

Somewhat guiltily, for some unknown reason.

Jane Quinlan glared at the man whose face flipped faster than flipping pages and turned to enter the kitchen.

She was already planning to cook in the first place.

Fifteen minutes later, she emerged from the kitchen with a bowl of noodles and placed it on the coffee table.

Kay Forrest glanced sidelong at the bowl of noodles: "You go out to enjoy fine food and all I get is this?

You really don’t know how to be fair.

We’re comrades-in-arms when it comes to food."

Jane Quinlan couldn’t be bothered with him: "Eat it if you want, or toss it out if you don’t. Be grateful that I’m even cooking for you, and stop being so picky."

After she spoke, she turned and went back to her room.

Kay Forrest rolled his eyes at this woman, he had never seen such a stubborn woman.

And to think he had just considered her a suitable marriage partner.

Now, he takes that thought back.

A woman like her would drive her husband to his grave.

Kay Forrest slid down to the floor and sat on the carpet to eat his noodles.

The mushroom and egg noodles actually tasted pretty good.

He arched an eyebrow, and quickly polished off the big bowl of noodles.

Seeing that Jane Quinlan wasn’t coming out of her room, Kay cried out: "Jane Quinlan, come out and hang for a bit."

"No thanks."

Kay Forrest got up and went to her bedroom door, pushed it open, and went inside.

Jane Quinlan, lying in bed, sat up with a start and glared at him: "Hey, do you ever get bored, you man?

Ever heard of knocking before entering a door?"

"Stop being pretentious. You’ve already changed your clothes, I won’t see anything scandalous even if I don’t knock.

Besides, is there any part of you, from head to toe, that I haven’t seen already?"

Whenever he said things like this, she’d grit her teeth in anger.

"How can you talk to a woman like this? Aren’t you afraid that she won’t be able to marry off because of you and might cling to you?

After all, she has every reason to hold you responsible since your eyes have taken advantage of her."

"Cling? Haha, if it were someone else, I might indeed be scared.

But since it’s you, I’m not that worried.

How about this, if you really can’t get married, try clinging onto me then.

You’ll see whether I take responsibility for you or not."

Jane Quinlan rolled her eyes at him: "Can’t you be serious for once."

Kay Forrest threw himself onto the bed: "That was quite serious.

After all, we’re people who have lived together, I do have that much credibility."

Jane Quinlan scratched her temple, figuring it was useless to argue with such a person.

She gave him a kick: "This is my bed, get off."

"I invited you out to watch TV with me, but since you holed up in here and refused, I had to come in."

Jane Quinlan clicked her tongue; facing such a brazen person, she felt somewhat helplessness.

Yet for some reason, she really liked the current atmosphere between them.

Being alone was boring for her, but usually, she wasn’t fond of hustle and bustle.

Now that he was here, she might dislike noise but liked this way of interacting with him.

She lay on the bed fiddling with her phone, while he sprawled lazily watching TV.

Half asleep, her eyes heavy, she noticed he was still watching and asked while in the midst of a yawn: "I’m sleepy, aren’t you going to bed?"

"You go to sleep first, I’ll leave after this episode ends and I’ll close the door for you," he replied.

Convinced by his words, Jane Quinlan trustingly curled up and fell into a deep slumber.

Early in the morning, the melodious tune of her phone’s alarm rang in her ears.

Suddenly, she jumped out of bed to look for her phone.

But upon opening her eyes, she was flabbergasted to see the man sleeping beside her.

Kay Forrest... How did Kay Forrest end up sleeping here last night?

The TV wasn’t even turned off...

She kicked his thigh: "Hey, why are you sleeping here?"

Kay Forrest groggily opened his eyes, glanced at her sleepily, and said, "Hmm? Why are you in my room?"

"Hey, this is my room, my bed.

Didn’t you say last night that you’d leave by yourself?"

He looked around groggily, sat up, and his hair was a mess.

"How did I end up sleeping here last night," he mumbled as he rubbed his hair and got out of the bed to leave.
