Chapter 414: Chapter 214: This man really feels uncomfortable if he doesn’t annoy her for even a minute_2
She finished speaking and turned to walk down the steps.
Seeing Jane’s cold attitude towards him, Xavier, who usually had a sense of superiority, found himself feeling a bit annoyed.
How could an ordinary poor woman treat him like that?
He snorted coldly and turned back into the restaurant.
Jane, puffing with anger, walked to the roadside, planning to hail a cab, but instead spotted Kay Forrest’s flashy luxury car.
She glanced back and, seeing Xavier was no longer there, let out a sigh of relief and jogged over to his car, bending down.
The car window rolled down, and Kay grinned mischievously at her.
She asked in surprise, "What are you doing here?"
He waved the keys in his hand: "I kindly came to bring you your keys, and here I am seeing you and Xavier going at it.
Wow, I didn’t expect you were such a good liar. I really thought you came here to have lunch with your brother."
"I did come to have lunch with my brother." She pouted, pulling open the car door to get in. What do you mean by lying?
"When I went in, I found my brother had also invited Xavier, so I left."
"Your brother and Xavier know each other?"
"They’re good friends, college classmates. I got to know Xavier because of my brother."
Kay raised an eyebrow and nodded: "Then Xavier’s actions really aren’t very classy."
"What actions?"
"Dumping his buddy’s sister to be with someone else, that’s not cool."
He said as he started the car to leave: "So you didn’t eat lunch either?"
She stomped her foot in frustration: "If I’d known, I would’ve just eaten at home. This is so irritating."
"Perfect, I haven’t eaten either. Want me to take you somewhere to mooch a meal?"
"Mooch a meal?" She looked at him puzzled.
Kay drove on the road, turning the car into the driveway of a mansion within less than two hundred meters and parking it.
"Get out."
She followed him and asked, "What place is this?"
"My buddy’s house. Come along."
He stepped forward to press the doorbell, and before long, a servant opened the door: "Mr. Forrest."
"Is Oliver home?"
"Director Turner is resting today; please come in."
Jane followed Kay inside, feeling quite embarrassed.
It was her first time entering such a large mansion.
She felt quite curious and looked around several times.
As soon as they entered, a young girl blocked their way.
Seeing a girl in Oliver Turner’s house, Kay took a second look.
The girl crossed her arms and smiled slyly: "You must be Forrest."
Kay shrugged: "Yeah, that’s me."
The girl giggled: "Guess who I am."
"Lily Snow."
Lily pouted unhappily: "Why does even someone like you know me? Today’s our first meeting."
He scoffed: "Don’t you know? I’m a good buddy of Faye Townsend."
Oliver Turner came down the stairs, frowning when he saw Lily Snow messing with his guests again: "Lily, what are you doing now?"
"I’m just saying hi to Forrest."
"Forrest? You sure are quick to get familiar."
Oliver walked up: "Forrest, why did you come over today?"
As he spoke, his gaze fell on Jane standing behind Kay.
Kay raised a hand to rest it on Jane’s shoulder: "I brought this little lady to mooch a meal."
Oliver turned with a smile and instructed the servant to prepare the food.
Lily stepped forward and asked: "What did Faye tell you? Did she say anything about me?"
Oliver grabbed her wrist: "Weren’t you going to try on new clothes? Go upstairs by yourself. Don’t bother my guests here."
"Hey, Oliver, I’m supposed to be your future lady of the house, why are you always so dismissive of me?
You tell me to go upstairs and I just have to? No way."
"I never said I would marry you," Oliver’s face turned cold and awkward.
"Not saying you’d marry me is irresponsible. We did have a matchmaking meeting."
"When did we..."
"In the car," Lily burst into a wide grin.
Kay folded his arms, watching Lily stump Oliver in a way that left him speechless, and couldn’t help but smirk.
Faye Townsend wasn’t wrong, Oliver Turner is bound to fall in the hands of this little girl eventually.
Kay, seeing the ’couple’ arguing fiercely, looped an arm around Jane and led her into the living room.
Jane leaned in close to whisper in Kay’s ear: "Is this Oliver Turner the one I’ve heard rumors about?"
"Which one?"
"One of Anchester’s two legends..." Honestly, she thought it unlikely.
Even with Kay’s abilities, it’s hard to believe he could not show any respect to the president of BlueHorizon Group.
