Chapter 342: Chapter 189: Hunter, You Are the Child of a Mistress
For several days in a row, it was as if Sebastian Sheldon had vanished from the world.
Faye Townsend thought that if the two brothers could reconcile, they would certainly be able to create a glorious future for the Warren Group.
It’s a pity, though, that they never got along since childhood.
And now, because of her...
During a break, Faye sat alone by the window in a daze, feeling uncontrollably sad when she thought of these things.
Two days ago, Lucas Warren called her again and said that the deadline he had given her was until the day Sebastian received his deserved punishment.
On the day Sebastian went to prison, he would wait for her at the airport to take her to the United Kingdom together.
That day, if he appeared, everything would be settled. If he didn’t, he would exact his final revenge on Hunter Warren.
He didn’t care about mutual destruction, nor did he care if his own future would become notorious within the Warren Group.
All of this depended entirely on her attitude.
All along, she had hoped the truth about her parents’ deaths would come to light.
But now, she was truly hesitating.
Because she didn’t know what she should do if that day really came.
She didn’t want Hunter to suffer any harm.
But whether she left or not, the one ultimately hurt would be him, and that was what pained Faye the most.
While Faye was in a daze, the phone on the table behind her buzzed.
She came back to her senses, sighed, and walked to the table to take a look. Seeing it was Oliver Turner calling, she sat in the office chair and answered the phone.
"Faye, what are you busy with?"
"Nothing much, just having coffee and resting."
Oliver chuckled, "Great, I’ll give you some work then. I have a project over here that I want to sign with you. Do you want to discuss it with Hunter Warren?
This project is right up your alley, and if you cooperate with me, you’ll be sure to win."
Faye laughed, "Then why do I need to discuss it with him? Let’s just cooperate."
"I’ll send someone over to discuss the details with you tomorrow."
"Okay."
"Nothing else going on recently?"
Faye hesitated for a moment. At this point, Oliver was no longer someone she could confide in.
She was worried it would affect him...
"No, nothing."
"I’ve been thinking for the past few days whether to ask you if Sebastian really has anything to do with your parents’ deaths?"
Faye sighed, "I’m really not sure about this either. I hope not. I hope my parents weren’t murdered, but... I always have a bad feeling."
"How’s the investigation going?"
Faye thought of what Hunter had told her a few days ago and shook her head, "The content of the dashcam from the car in which my parents had the accident has been fully restored.
The police found a small scene in it where a very young man with a crew cut had indeed tampered with my parents’ car.
We now need to find this person first, then match the DNA on the hood. I’m also waiting for the results."
Oliver nodded, "No matter what, remember that I’m always here.
When you need my help, just let me know, and I’ll do everything I can to assist you."
Faye smiled, "Having a friend like you makes me feel very cared for."
"No need to say so much nonsense with me, alright, we’ll talk about the specific work matters tomorrow."
At 1:30 in the afternoon, Faye received an unfamiliar call.
When she answered, she heard Sebastian’s voice, and Faye was indeed quite surprised.
She hadn’t expected Sebastian to call her.
"Why aren’t you speaking? Are you surprised to hear my voice?" Sebastian’s voice sounded sarcastic over the phone.
Faye coldly laughed, "Why are you calling me?"
"You must be very happy now."
"Why would I be happy?"
"The person you’ve always hated is finally attacked to the point of not daring to step out, not even looking at the internet.
Do you feel like you’ve won?" Sebastian suddenly laughed hauntingly.
"Faye, I really don’t know what I did in this life to get tangled up with you.
You’re a bringer of catastrophe; anyone around you won’t find happiness.
Your parents died, your brother became a cripple, Lucas Warren’s life was ruined by you, and Oliver Turner lost his greatest love because of you.
You’re nothing but a jinx.
Why don’t you just die, just go and die."
Faye gripped her phone tightly, "Everyone’s happiness is decided by themselves.
No one’s life can be destroyed by someone else."
"No, you destroyed my life.
I was living just fine, why did you have to do this.
