Chapter 197: Chapter 155: Incoming Call Display, Lucas Warren_3

Hunter, you’d better treat Faye well. If you have any more issues with her because of Sebastian, then I might as well just drop dead."

"You can drop dead right now."

Sounds of commotion came from the corner.

The two sitting by the bar turned their heads simultaneously to look.

Through the crowd, Roman Hughes whistled softly, "Hey, isn’t that Faye’s worthless brother?"

Hunter Warren’s expression turned somewhat cold as he watched the situation over there.

Richard Townsend was fighting with two men, surrounded by a group of sensually dressed women watching the excitement.

Among them, there was an odd one out, wearing a plaid shirt, jeans, and a high ponytail.

Hunter had seen that girl once before, named Eliana Brooke; she had gone to see Faye.

"Hey, your brother-in-law is getting beat up, aren’t you going to do something?"

Hunter smiled, "If you want to intervene, go ahead."

Richard grabbed one of the men by the collar, "Say what you just said to me again."

"So what if I say it a hundred times? You’re just a wimp who lets a woman handle all his money."

Another man stepped forward to help, raising his fist and punching Richard squarely on the nose.

Finally, Eliana Brooke, who had been standing silently to the side, couldn’t remain quiet any longer.

She gritted her teeth, grabbed a beer bottle from the table, and smashed it hard on the man who hit Richard, right on the back of his head.

The bottle shattered, and the man clutched his head and squatted down.

Richard was stunned, turning to see Eliana Brooke trembling with the broken remnants of the beer bottle in her hand.

Eliana quickly took two steps back and tossed the beer bottle to the floor.

Her frightened gaze moved to Richard.

At this point, several guys pushed through the crowd to surround Eliana.

"This woman injured Young Master Fletcher, we can’t let her leave."

Richard swallowed hard, "Hey...let’s talk this out, she just did it to save me."

"Young Master Townsend, I’m afraid it’s not up to you, we have to report this to Mr. Fletcher."

Eliana looked at Richard, her eyes filled with fear, almost as if pleading for help.

Initially, Richard thought of slipping away, but since they had made eye contact, he felt embarrassed to do so.

"So what do you want? Reid Fletcher hit me first, he got hit by my date, so it’s only fair."

One of the guys took out his phone to call Mr. Fletcher.

Hunter Warren stood up and walked into the crowd, with Roman Hughes puzzled, "Hey, didn’t you say you weren’t getting involved?"

Hunter ignored Roman, already making his way through the crowd.

Everyone recognized him, and they automatically cleared a path as he approached.

The guys saw him coming and quickly put their phones away.

Another rich kid who had been hit by Richard approached, "Second Master Warren."

Hunter Warren smirked slightly, "Young Master Shaw, long time no see."

"Brother-in-law, perfect timing. Could you help me out? This woman hit someone, and they’re making a fuss here, I..."

Hunter gave him a cold glance, "Alright, shut your mouth."

Richard hastily closed his mouth.

Hunter crossed his arms, "Young Master Shaw, I heard bits of your scuffle was because Richard gives his money to a woman, so he’s a wimp?"

"Uh, we...we were just messing around, right, Brother Townsend?"

Richard rolled his eyes and snorted.

Now he says they were just messing around, but when he hit me earlier, he sure didn’t hold back.

"Oh, so it was just for fun, then it’s understandable.

There are countless men in this world who let their women handle all their finances.

My money is also with my partner, and I don’t think that’s being a wimp at all.

On the contrary, when you love someone, you’re willing to give everything, wouldn’t you agree?"

"Second Master is right."

Hunter Warren looked down at the unconscious Reid Fletcher with a tut-tut, "You guys took fooling around too far, Mr. Fletcher will be upset."

There was a silent hush surrounding them.

Hunter turned his gaze to Eliana Brooke, "Brooke."

Eliana quickly stepped forward, "Yes, Second Master."

"From now on, we’re family, I ought to call you sister-in-law.

But you’re so young, it feels awkward to call you that, so I’ll just call you Brooke.

Next time when men are messing about, don’t get involved, it diminishes your man’s dignity."

"Yes, Second Master."

"Later, send a bouquet to Young Master Fletcher as a gesture of apology and call it a day."

Eliana bit her lip and glanced up at Richard, wondering if it could really be over that easily. Would they truly let it go?

"No problem, no problem at all, Second Master, we were just messing about, it’s okay. In the future, as long as she is cautious, it’s all good. Now...we’ll take Young Master Fletcher to the hospital."

The group carried Young Master Fletcher out, the people dispersed, and Richard was about to say something to Hunter Warren, but Hunter just nodded at Eliana and turned to leave.

Richard was baffled—was he here to help him or Eliana?

Returning to Roman Hughes, who had watched the spectacle, he teased, "Second Master is amazing, when he steps in, one is as good as three.

But I’m really puzzled, why did you get involved in this business at all?"

"Isn’t it obvious? If this blew up, Faye would have to step in to sort it out.

Rather than wait for Faye to be troubled by it because of Richard, I figured I’d solve it for her in advance to save her the trouble."

"Wow, impressive, Hunter, you really are a hopeless romantic."

"Shut up," Hunter gave him a look.

He pulled out his buzzing phone from his pocket to check it.

Seeing the caller ID, his frown deepened, and a shadow clouded his eyes.

"Why aren’t you answering? Who’s calling that made you, Second Master, change expressions?"

Hunter didn’t lift his head; his gaze was fixed on the phone, "Lucas Warren."
