Chapter 215: Chapter 205: I’ll Buy It! (Third Update)
A team of riders burst out from the gate, splitting into two groups and standing on either side. Following them were twelve members, escorting six burly men who stood in front of the gate.
Tong Airui clasped his hands behind his back, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips as he watched Kai Di approach from afar, running closer and closer.
Kai Di charged to the gate with her people. When she saw the scene before her, her eyes blazed as she glared at Tong Airui, "Release my men!"
Tong Airui chuckled, "I thought your first words would be, ’Give me back my brother.’"
"Airui Aldrich! I’ll kill you!"
"One life for seven lives—sounds like a fair trade to me." Tong Airui shrugged and stepped closer to Kai Di, one deliberate step at a time.
Kai Di’s gaze fell on the six men behind Tong Airui, their heads pressed against gun barrels. Her eye twitched, and her sight slowly shifted to the ground, where her second brother lay in a pool of blood.
"Ah—!" Kai Di clutched her head and let out a loud scream. Why was she always the loser in front of Tong Airui?
"Kai Di!" The Great Emperor Haotian approached slowly, reaching out to embrace his sister, "Kai Di, calm down. Don’t do this—your second brother is already gone."
"I’ll kill him! I’ll kill him!" Kai Di clung tightly to the Great Emperor Haotian’s arm, repeating hysterically, "Brother, help me kill him, kill him..."
"Kai Di! Never say those words again! Your second brother has committed evil for so many years, plunging the entire Haotian into chaos. I refrained from acting against him for the sake of Mother’s last wishes and my promise to your sister-in-law. Do not blame Commander Aldrich; I invited him here. It wasn’t that I couldn’t defeat your second brother; I simply didn’t want him to die by my hand. If you want to hate someone, hate me."
"Hahaha..." Kai Di laughed bitterly, shoving the Great Emperor Haotian away. "Do you want to kill me too? I helped my second brother escape the base and tried to help him flee from Haotian. Go ahead—kill me along with those six people today! That way, the entire Haotian will belong to you and that vixen!"
The Great Emperor Haotian’s eyes narrowed dangerously, "Don’t you dare speak of your sister-in-law like that!"
"You get worked up every time that vixen is mentioned!" Kai Di retorted, pulling a gun from her waistband and pressing it against her temple. "I won’t even make you kill me with your own hands—I’ll do it myself!"
"Kai Di!" The Great Emperor Haotian took a step forward, reaching out to grab her hand.
"Stay back!" Kai Di hooked her finger on the trigger. "Since you’ll punish me anyway for secretly rescuing my second brother, I’d rather die and be done with it. Before I go, I only ask you for one thing—save those six people. This is the only plea of my life. Will you agree or not?"
The Great Emperor Haotian took a step back, tilting his head to glance at the six men. These six people—he had already decided to kill them. But with his sister behaving like this, he didn’t dare refuse her plea outright.
"Do you think you can hide anything from me? You rescued your second brother—if I hadn’t silently allowed it, you wouldn’t have been free until now. The fate of these six men doesn’t lie with me. If you live, they have a chance; if you die, they perish."
Kai Di turned her head reluctantly to look at the six men. "You’ll come with me!"
The six men stared at her in horror.
Kai Di squinted slightly, prompting the six men to nod quickly.
The Great Emperor Haotian found himself conflicted in that moment, torn between two choices.
Tong Airui furrowed his brows for a while and remarked, "Great Emperor Haotian, I don’t have time to watch her perform theatrics. I’ll leave these six men to you. Farewell!"
With that, Tong Airui and the entire Golden Eagle Squad surrounded him protectively, leaving the palace.
Angry shouts from Kai Di echoed behind them. Tong Airui curved his lips faintly, letting the woman rage for now—he had more important matters to attend to.

Yi Luowa sat in a wheelchair, listlessly watching Dabao and Erbao play with toy cars on the floor.
"Aren’t you two sleepy yet?" Yi Luowa asked, forcing herself to stay awake.
Dabao glanced at her and replied, "Auntie, if you’re tired, you should go rest."
"I can’t sleep." Yi Luowa pouted. "You’re the only ones full of energy in the house, and I finally have someone to play with."
"Shh—keep your voice down so Dad and Mom don’t hear." Erbao made a hush gesture, then asked softly, "Auntie, do you want to play with us?"
"Sure, I’ll play for ten minutes, and then we all go back to our rooms to sleep. How about that?" Yi Luowa maneuvered her wheelchair to join them.
Teng Ai Ni woke up thirsty in the middle of the night and opened the door to see the three of them still playing. Annoyed, she shouted, "What time is it? Why aren’t you asleep yet?"
Yi Luowa smiled. "We agreed to play for ten more minutes and then go to sleep."
"You’re still a patient!" Teng Ai Ni stormed over in a huff. "Let me take you back to your room."
Yi Luowa patted Dabao and Erbao’s heads. "Auntie’s angry now—let’s all go to bed. I’ll play with you again tomorrow."
The two children saw that Teng Ai Ni was genuinely angry, so they quickly grabbed their toys and darted into the bedroom.
"Aren’t you afraid Mom will scold you if she finds out?" Teng Ai Ni muttered as she pushed Yi Luowa back into her room. "I’m going to get a glass of water, and then I’ll sleep with you."
Yi Luowa frantically waved her hands. "No, please don’t! If Dad finds out you’re not sleeping in your room, he might knock on You Jia’s door!"
Teng Ai Ni hesitated for a moment. "Then you rest properly by yourself. Look at you—no energy at all, yet you’re not taking care of yourself."
"Okay." Yi Luowa meekly replied.
Teng Ai Ni helped her get into bed and then left the room. As soon as the door closed, Yi Luowa grabbed her phone. Just as she dialed two numbers, she put the phone down again. "Fourth Brother, I really miss you today. When will you come back? Even a phone call would do."
Yi Luowa turned over in bed, fiddling aimlessly with the phone screen. "During dinner today, everyone was here except you. Fourth Brother, do you know? I don’t even dare look at Dad anymore. The more I look, the more I think of you. Why can’t you look different? Why do you have to resemble Dad so much?"
The bed behind her suddenly sank a little, and Yi Luowa pursed her lips. "Ai Ni, you came back again? I’ll sleep now."
Yi Luowa sighed and placed the phone back down. "Good night."
"Teng Ai Ni" didn’t leave but instead lay down, wrapping an arm around her waist.
Yi Luowa froze instantly, her gaze slowly shifting to the large hand around her waist. "Ai—Ai Ni, this is bad! I’m hallucinating, imagining your delicate hand as Fourth Brother’s big paw."
The large hand on her waist gave her a gentle pat. "It’s not a hallucination!"
A deep voice filled with laughter reached her ears!
Yi Luowa jerked her head back, finally seeing the face she had been longing for day and night!
"Fourth—Fourth Brother..." Yi Luowa’s eyes sparkled with tears of excitement.
Tong Airui pulled her into a tight embrace, lowering his head to kiss her lips.
Although it had only been days since they parted, for the two of them, it felt like centuries. They poured their longing into this kiss, easing the ache of separation.
Suddenly, there was a salty taste in his mouth. Tong Airui reluctantly broke the kiss, gazing down at Yi Luowa, who was now crying uncontrollably in his arms.
"Wife, I’m back. Why are you crying?" Tong Airui asked with slight panic, reaching up to wipe her face.
The more he wiped, the more she cried.
Out of options, Tong Airui cupped her face and started kissing away her tears. "I’m sorry! I’m sorry for worrying you, for making you suffer. I’ll try not to leave anymore."
He muttered his apologies, interspersed with gentle kisses.
Yi Luowa clung to his waist, sobbing loudly. The person she missed so dearly had returned—she was going to cry out all her grievances.
"Wife, I’ll cry with you." Tong Airui mimicked her expression and pouted comically.
"Pfft—" Yi Luowa smacked him lightly. "Do I look as hideous as you?"
"Well, crying isn’t as pretty as smiling." Tong Airui relaxed as he saw her laugh. "Wife, where are you injured? Let me see. This Da Peng has guts—he dared conceal your injuries from me."
"I’m not hurt." Yi Luowa didn’t want him to start worrying the moment he came back.
"There are medicines by the bedside, and there’s a wheelchair in the room. You dare say you’re not injured?" Tong Airui frowned and gently tugged her hand. "If you won’t tell me, I’ll examine you myself."
"Let me hold you a little longer. I’m afraid if I let go, you’ll leave again." Yi Luowa hugged his waist tightly, refusing to let him move.
Tong Airui kissed her lightly. "Be good. Let me take a quick look."
"My leg’s bandaged—it must’ve been scratched when I jumped from the car, but it’s really minor. I don’t need the wheelchair; Old Seven and Old Eight bought it just to fuss over me."
Tong Airui’s brows knitted slightly, his gaze lingering on her face for a while. "Looks like the swelling on your face has gone down. Those bastards—I would’ve taken my time with them if I hadn’t been rushing back to see you."
"I applied medicine, and the swelling went down the next day. My leg injury will heal quickly too—Shanshan said so. If you don’t believe me, ask her."
"You’re all in cahoots. Asking her would be worse than checking myself. I won’t trouble you tonight—I’ll look when I change your bandages in the morning."
Yi Luowa nodded, looking at him pitifully. "Fourth Brother, now that you’re back, will you leave again?"
"No, I won’t leave again," Tong Airui replied, gently squeezing her nose. "Every time I called, hearing your voice, I thought you were happy and didn’t miss me."
Yi Luowa pouted playfully. "Who said I didn’t miss you? I pretended not to because I didn’t want to hold you back. Am I that heartless?"
"You are!" Tong Airui chuckled.
"How could you say that?" Yi Luowa puffed her cheeks, glaring at him. "I was so excited for your return, but you came back just to tease me."
"Did I tease you?" Tong Airui smirked and slid his hand under her arm. "Come on, smile for me, or else I’ll tickle you."
Yi Luowa shot him a playful wink. "I’ll sell my body but not my smile."
Tong Airui was utterly captivated by her teasing glance, his throat tightening as he swallowed hard. He leaned in and captured her lips. "Tonight, your body belongs to me."
