Chapter 53
Chapter 53: Chapter 53
Zeno followed Sebastian back to the house. He was feeling very tired, but he couldn’t complain; he wasn’t expecting Sebastian to give him some minutes of rest; it was better he kept to himself.
They passed the living room, and Sebastian headed into the kitchen; Zeno was still slowly following him behind.
He stood at a distance as Sebastian took water out from the fridge, watching as he slowly turned to him.
Zeno didn’t remove his eyes from Sebastian’s; he wanted to know why he had called him; he had an idea, but just like yesterday, he didn’t want to delusion himself by jumping to impossible conclusions.
Sebastian wasn’t jealous, maybe he wanted to say something to him about tonight’s mission.
Yes, that should be it.
Sebastian had been angry at first, but as he stared at Zeno’s tired face, he began to ask himself why he was angry in the first place. Nevertheless, he still asked him the question he wanted to ask him.
He moved toward Zeno, who was standing beside the kitchen table, and dropped his bottle of water on the table beside him.
"So, did you like it?" Sebastian asked lowly, his face not giving away any emotions.
Zeno furrowed his brows, then shook his head. "No, boss. I didn’t like fighting with you, I don’t-"
"Are you fucking playing with me?" Sebastian asked, his anger returning as he saw Zeno’s innocent look.
Sebastian tightened his fingers around Zeno’s neck and moved his face closer, "Do you really want to play games with me?" He asked menacingly.
Zeno didn’t even move to remove the hand on his neck. He simply stared at Sebastian with tired eyes and replied again.
"I said no, boss, I didn’t like it," He repeated.
"Fuck off!" Sebastian pushed him away causing Zeno to fall back on the table and wedged himself with his elbow.
"Tell me," Sebastian walked forward and pulled Zeno up from the collar.
"Ouch," Zeno winced as Sebastian’s fist hit his throat harshly.
"I don’t understand what you’re talking about, boss," Zeno tapped Sebastian’s hand, silently asking him to let him go.
"Really?" Sebastian asked with a tilted head, "Fine, then answer me this, would you have let Jasper kiss you?" He asked, dead serious, his eyes not moving away from Zeno’s shocked ones.
Zeno finally realized what Sebastian was asking him. "You heard?" Zeno whispered.
"Answer the damn question, Zeno! You knew what I was asking all along but you chose to play dumb with me. Would you have let Jasper kiss you?" Sebastian asked more intensely this time.
Zeno sighed, "Let me go first; I’m choking," Zeno said.
Sebastian glared at him for a while and slowly released his shirt.
"Thank you," Zeno smiled at him, but Sebastian’s face remained emotionless.
"First, I really did not know that you were asking about what Jasper had said; I thought you were asking about the fight, and that was why I said that I didn’t like it... I don’t like fighting with you, Sebastian," Zeno paused, raised his hand to Sebastian’s face, and used his thumb to wipe away the drop of blood that dripped out of Sebastian’s nose, "And about the kiss..." He moved his face closer to Sebastian’s and whispered, "I’d kiss whoever I want because it’s none of your business, Jasper, Jeremiah, Abbey...you. You don’t have a say on whom I should kiss or not," Zeno smiled and slowly moved away from the angry Sebastian.
"Please, boss, stop acting this way toward me, I might get the wrong impression," Zeno nodded at him and walked away.
Sebastian watched as Zeno left him, walking up to his room; he wasn’t supposed to let him go; he wasn’t supposed to let him go after he spoke to him that way, but he did; he didn’t even feel like arguing with him.

Cody had just finished eating in the Cafeteria and was heading up to his room when Ida met him on his way out, and quietly, they both entered the elevator.
Cody has been ignoring Ida since the day he went to Vibez Media with Zeno. Ida had tried to find an opportunity to speak to Cody, but Cody made sure that no opportunity arose for them to speak.
But not anymore, as Ida saw him quickly trying to escape after practice, he had made sure to monitor him when they came to the Cafeteria, and now, he was quietly standing beside him as the elevator moved up to their floor.
Soon, the door slid open, and Cody was the first to hurry out of the elevator, walking straight to his room. He was about to bang on his door when a foot came between his door, stopping him from closing it.
He already knew who it was without looking at the person.
"What do you want?" Cody asked, still refusing to look at Ida.
Ida sighed, he knew it wasn’t going to be easy to get Cody to listen to him and believe him, but he was going to try.
"I just need to speak to you," Ida responded softly.
Cody scoffed, "I’m not interested," he pushed the door again but Ida held it open with his hands.
"Please...I promise to leave immediately when I’m done," Ida pleaded.
Cody didn’t reply, he just left Ida and walked into the room.
Ida knew he had been granted access and immediately followed him in, closing the door.
Cody felt Ida’s presence in the room and felt his heart racing. He shouldn’t be reacting this way to someone he claimed to be just friends with benefits, and it annoyed him. It was part of the reason he was trying to avoid Ida, he was angry at him for going to Vibez Media, which he didn’t have the right to be, so, instead of letting himself get attached to someone who might find the person he truly loves and abandon him, it was better he started to distance himself before it even happened.
Ida didn’t step farther away from the closed door. He stood in front of it and watched Cody stand beside his wardrobe with his back facing him.
He sighed, "Cody, I’m sorry, I’m sorry for-"
"It’s okay," Cody turned and shrugged, pulling off his sweaty shirt and throwing it into the laundry bag.
Ida’s eyes widened in surprise, was Cody really forgiving him that easily?
"Really?" Ida asked, taming the excitement in his voice.
"Really. After all, you don’t have to apologize to me for getting paired with a guy to sleep with, it’s none of my business, you know?" Cody went over to his wardrobe drawer and took out a shirt from it; then he threw it at Ida.
"You forgot your shirt," He said and turned away from him, choosing clothes to wear for the day.
Ida knew it; it was too good to be true; Cody would never forgive him that easily.
He stared at the shirt in his hands and sighed. "I didn’t forget the shirt, Cody. And, how can you say that learning I’m going to sleep with someone else is none of your business?" Ida asked with a frown.
Cody placed a pair of clothes on top of his bed and looked over at Ida. "Yes, it’s none of my business, we’re not boyfriends, remember?" Cody asked.
Ida was hurt, "But, I thought we were getting at something?" He questioned, holding himself back from crossing over the room and holding Cody in his arms.
Cody gave off a sarcastic laugh. "We weren’t, Ida. Now, leave, I need to shower," He said dismissively.
Ida clenched the shirt in his hand, "Don’t do this, Cody, I didn’t even kiss anyone, and I’m not actually going to have sex with anyone, I don’-"
"I don’t care! I don’t care, Ida. I don’t. I don’t care where next you fix your dick, understand that and let the matter be. Please, just leave..." Cody raised his voice, getting worked up.
Ida was heartbroken; he had thought his relationship with Cody was getting better, and he was so sure that Cody would have become his boyfriend by the end of the month, but it seemed like they were back to Base.
"You really don’t mind that I’m going to do what I do with you to someone else? You don’t care if I kiss them with the same lips you’ve kissed? Hold them with the same arms I’ve held you with? Make love to them the way I do to you?" Ida asked, his voice cracking.
Cody went quiet for a few seconds, hearing Ida say it that way put a virtual image of him doing all those things he mentioned in his head.
It hurt him, and he did care, but he just couldn’t give Ida what he wanted; he couldn’t be in a relationship with a guy, and he knew he was starting to develop feelings for Ida, so it was better he ended everything before it was too late.
"You’re right, I don’t care...but..." Cody paused and walked toward Ida.
He reached to Ida’s front and traced a finger across his cheek, "You’re not my boyfriend, but, I’m always here if you want to have fun, I can never say no to a good fuck," Cody smiled seductively, gazing into Ida’s hurting eyes.
Ida gently removed Cody’s hand from his face, "That’s what I am, right? A good fuck?" He asked, staring right into Cody’s eyes.
Cody smiled and shrugged, "What else did you want to be?" Cody frowned.
"Your boyfriend," Ida replied bluntly.
Cody chuckled, "No, just be friends with benefits, it’s fine that way."
Ida laughed sarcastically at himself; what was he expecting? He’s been the one fooling himself, and it was time he stopped.
He gently shook his head, then raised his hand to hold the side of Cody’s face and made him look into his eyes, "I’d rather just be friends with you, Cody. I love too much to fool myself that I’d be just a friend with benefits to you, I’ll be hurting myself by doing so. I’m sorry for the trouble and discomfort I’ve caused you lately, but from now on, let’s just be friends," Ida finished and placed a small kiss on Cody’s cheek.
"I’m sorry, it’s the last one, I promise," he chuckled sadly.
"Goodnight, Cody," He smiled and removed his hand from Cody turning to the door.
But as he moved to leave, he felt his shirt being pulled by something, he looked back to see Cody’s fingers gripping his shirt and stopping him from leaving.
"Um, Cody, my shirt," Ida gently reminded me.
Cody blinked and suddenly realized that he was holding Ida’s shirt, "Oh, goodnight, friend," He smiled and waved, stepping away from the door.
Ida nodded once, and then, he walked out of the room, his heart broken in many pieces.
