Chapter 174: Chapter 174

Zeno was staring at the pictures of his parents in some unknown house; they looked happy; he could tell by the way his mother was smiling at his father.

He couldn’t believe his eyes; all this time, he’d believed he lost his parents to an accident just to find out two years later that they were never dead in the first place.

He didn’t know if he should be happy, no, he was happy and elated, but he was also disappointed. He was disappointed at his parents for choosing to treat him the way they did: keeping him in the dark about their real jobs, disappearing through a fake death, and letting him mourn for nothing, hiding their involvement with the Mafia.

All his memories with his parents were a lie; the peaceful nine-to-five parents weren’t real; they were some secret high-valued cybercrime agents who had worked with Mr. Orion for more than ten years.

Zeno sighed and dropped the picture beside him on the bed. "I don’t know what to think," He murmured softly.

Sebastian was leaning beside his door, Zeno’s orders. "Can I come close now?" He asked gently.

Zeno had been very angry and even threatened to leave, but Sebastian had pleaded with him to stay back and listen to him first. He had told Sebastian that he hated him and asked him to stay away from him, asking him to stay beside the door while he tried to figure his feelings out.

Sebastian had obeyed without a complaint, he had walked over to the door after giving Zeno the picture to prove to him that he was being honest with his information.

Zeno slowly nodded, "You’ve proved your point, Sebastian, but if your father has them, then why do you want us back together? You said yourself he’d kill them if he found out about us again; the only way he’d release them was after your official marriage with Sakura," He covered his face with his hands and released a long breath, "No marriage, no freedom. What are we going to do, Sebastian, I think you should just marry -"

"No way," Sebastian strode toward him, eyes dark with resolve.

Zeno removed his hand from his face and stared at Sebastian with a frown, "No way? What do you mean?" He questioned.

Sebastian stood in front of Zeno and gently held his hand, pulling him to his feet, sliding his hand up his arm, and hooking it around Zeno’s neck.

He stared intimately into Zeno’s worried eyes, his fingers caressing Zeno’s neck, "I’m not marrying Sakura, Sweetheart; I already told you I don’t love her; I can’t, Zeno," He said calmly.

Zeno shook his head, "But it’s not about our feelings this time, Seb, it’s about people’s lives, my parents’ lives. Now that I know they’re alive, I don’t want them to die for real; I’m asking you to marry Sakura as a favor, Sebastian, I’m begging you, please?" His hands gently tapped Sebastian’s hips, his eyes pleading.

Sebastian pulled him closer and hugged him possessively, "Don’t worry, Love, I won’t marry Sakura, and nothing will happen to your parents, they’ll be safe," He whispered beside Zeno’s neck.

Zeno buried his face in Sebastian’s neck, sniffing in, "How? I want to trust you, Sebastian, but I have doubts, heavy doubts. What if he discovers your reason for coming over here? What would we do, then?" He asked quietly.

Sebastian didn’t respond, he was busy giving Zeno slow kisses along the neck, his hot, steamy breath tickling Zeno’s skin.

"Seb, answer me. We’re still talking, and I never said we’re back together," Zeno gently pushed him off him, causing a brow at him.

Sebastian pouted, "But you were sniffing me just now," He touched the side of his neck where Zeno had buried his nose.

"It’s just habits, Sebastian. Just answer me," Zeno replied, looking away from Sebastian’s mesmerizing eyes.

"Don’t worry, Sweetheart, if my plan is successful, you’ll have your parents by your side soon," Sebastian informed.

Zeno’s eyes shined, "Huh?! Really? How are you going to do it?" He asked.

Sebastian smirked, "My men are working on that; it’s not easy to infiltrate through my father’s walls, but it’s not impossible. Mind you, your parents are not prisoners, as a matter of fact, they don’t even know they’re being held ransom, they believe they’re on a secluded mission, and they even agreed never to make contact with family or friends for three years, that’s why they never contacted you, so, convincing them to leave their mission is going to be quite hard so I’ll need you to trust me, Zeno, I just need a little time," He explained.

Zeno furrowed his brows, lifted his brows, and suddenly faced Sebastian with a suspicious look, "I hear you... but I’m curious, you paint your father as the villain but what about you?" He folded his arms, regarding Sebastian with narrowed eyes.

Sebastian looked confused, "Me? What about me? I’m just a nan who’s trying his best to get back with his lover," he replied.

Zeno scoffed, "Yeah. Well then, do you mind telling this lover why you failed to mention this information regarding his parents to him? Why have you hidden it from me, Mr. Lover?" His tone was sarcastic.

Sebastian sighed, "I know you wouldn’t believe me, but I learned about this the day you went missing -"

"You mean the day Ida told you that I betrayed you with Bison?" Zeno raised a brow at him.

Sebastian cleared his throat, shifting his weight from one foot to the other, "I’m sorry for how I behaved back then, Zeno; I was an idiot; I let the tension of everything that was happening get to me. I’ve always trusted you, Zeno; I know you can never betray or hurt; it was insensitive of me to act that way," I apologize.

Zeno rolled his eyes, "Put that on the list of things I’ll think over," He shrugged a shoulder.

Sebastian smiled, "I’m really sorry. I got to learn about your parents when I returned and couldn’t find you, and... things went wrong from there due to my father’s interference," He explained.

"Good story, so why couldn’t he let them reach out to their family? To me? He knew how wrecked I was, your family is just...stressful," Zeno said in exasperation.

Sebastian nodded, "I know. I’m not trying to defend him or make his actions look a little reasonable, but his main reason for keeping them away was because of Bison. They did get in an accident, which led to Nana’s long illness, but they weren’t crushed as they had shown you; they were barely scratched. Father sent your Nana to Ezra’s hospital and asked Anna to lead you to me for protection while he kept your parents safe after assuring them that he’d take care of their family," Sebastian narrated.

"Father... he’s not really a bad man, he’s just evil," Sebastian chuckled, "He was so angry when he learned that I fell in love with the man he’d asked me to protect, so now he’s threatening to kill your parents just to force us apart, but that’s not happening, baby girl. I’m not leaving your side for any reason," He covered the distance between them and hugged Zeno again.

Zeno didn’t push him away.

The whole thing wasn’t looking like a big deal anymore, but he knew it was. If Mr. Orion found out about them again, he’d surely keep to his words by hurting his parents; mafias were no one’s friends, they removed who needed to be removed whenever they found it convenient, and Mr. Orion never said things he didn’t mean.

He hugged Sebastian back, sighing softly, "I’ll trust you again, Sebastian. Bring my parents back to me," his arms tightened around d Sebastian’s neck.

"I promise, baby girl," Sebastian stared at Zeno’s face, slowly leaning closer until his lips were just a breath away from Zeno’s lips.

Zeno’s insides were steaming with that pet name: Baby Girl; he’d missed it.

They didn’t speak, just quietly staring into each other’s eyes, but their hands were slowly wandering each other’s body, pulling in and caressing.

"I want you," Sebastian breathed shakily.

Zeno licked his lips, his fingers grazed the back of Sebastian’s neck, "But we’re not dating yet..." He whispered.

Sebastian smirked sexily, his eyes suggestively roaming Zeno’s body, "Then let’s make it official on the bed, Zeno. Let me make love to you like I used to... like your boyfriend," He placed a feathery kiss close to Zeno’s lips.

Zeno closed his eyes as he felt those electrifying tingles travel down his spine, Sebastian’s proximity warming up his own body in speed, he wanted to feel Sebastian’s heat on him, skin-to-skin... justice they used to be.

"No," He shook his head, stepping away from Sebastian.

Sebastian sighed, "Come on, Baby girl, we need this, we crave it... we’ve missed it," He traced his hand from Zeno’s chest down to his stomach, stopping just above his waistband, his index finger teasing the waistline.

Zeno caught his hand, brought it up to his lips, and kissed the back of it, "No means no, Sebastian, last night was a... pleasure, but we do not recall that feeling until my parents are beside me. Keep your words first, then you’ll be rewarded," He drew Sebastian closer and placed a short kiss on his lips.

"I’m hungry, care to tour the house?" Zeno asked, walking toward the door.

Sebastian blinked back to reality, his eyes followed Zenonas. He walked out of the room, and a slow smirk crept up his lips.

He wasn’t listening this time, he’ll see how well Zeno resists him tonight.

He chuckled and followed Zeno’s out; he’d always dreamed of touring Zeno around his new mansion. Now isn’t a bad time.

Ken would be ecstatic, Zeno was staying.
