Chapter 82: First part over

The one who performed that last assassin strike was no other than Amara. The woman had been waiting for the right moment to strike, and Jormungandr’s lightning arc not only left the Champion demon blind but also destroyed what remained of the dark Force protecting him, so her sword faced no resistance.

A beautiful and fierce smile appeared on the young woman as she felt the life fade from the body of the Fire Bear, and soon a burst of Origin Force flowed into her body, as well as the bodies of Clasius, Frank, Mirena, Roman, and Jormungandr.

The inner circle showed broad smiles as they saw how the three massive Champion demons, creatures that could have easily shattered the shield formation, were all taken down. Their eyes soon turned toward the man battling alone on the other end of the battlefield.

None of them fooled themselves; they knew that the key to their power came from that person who managed to give them a flawless path of growth and battle tactics that exploited the weaknesses of these supernatural monsters.

...

The Golden Demonic Lizard could not believe what had just happened. Their leader came crashing down like a meteorite, only to be blasted away by a small cat, who then helped kill two other Champion demons. And if that was not bad enough, the other humans with shields and spears had already killed nearly two-thirds of the three thousand demonic beasts!

When the Champion demon joined the high demonic horde and learned they would attack the military base, he believed everything would be easy. In his eyes, humans were nothing more than ants who knew nothing but cry and hide. Yet, now those same people had butchered his group.

Suddenly, the Golden Demonic Lizard felt a sense of utter terror and turned to the side as he saw the young man look at him with a smile. That was the last thing he saw before a sword separated his head from the rest of his body.

Vlad’s smile grew wider as he felt the torrent of Origin Force coursing into his body, and he sent half into his flesh and blood and used the other half to generate Force Water. Since his body had reached a bottleneck, he needed to improve his Level to keep enhancing it, which was why he was taking that approach.

"Rumble!"

A tremor coursed through Vlad’s body as the last drop of golden energy vanished inside his body. He had spent the previous twenty days in rigorous training, and the Origin Force from all those demonic beasts and two Champion demons helped him burst forward.

Skills:

I Am Wrath: As the user sustains injuries or becomes increasingly enraged, their physical strength, speed, and energy pool capacity are incrementally enhanced. This enhancement is proportional to the severity of their wounds and the depth of their emotional turmoil.

This immense surge of power comes at a cost. If the user’s body is not sufficiently strong to handle the increased energy, they risk a severe physical backlash.

Lightning Forged Charge: This ability channels the raw power of lightning to enhance the bearer’s body, allowing it to accelerate rapidly and move with extraordinary speed. The user becomes a blur of electrified energy, propelling themselves forward with immense force and agility, capable of delivering devastating impacts or repositioning quickly in combat.

Pure thrill appeared on Vlad’s face as he saw his stats. His evolution to Level 3 generated a holistic improvement, and the advancement of his bloodline to the Champion Tier boosted his speed and vitality.

’I can feel the barrier preventing my body from evolving to the Champion Tier becoming weaker. I am close, very close!’ The feeling of power only made Vlad’s killing intent burst, and his second sword appeared in his left hand as he turned toward the demonic beasts at the rear of the battlefield.

The young man flashed toward the demonic beasts like a lightning god of death, killing everything in his path at a shocking speed. While Vlad attacked from one end of the battlefield, Jormungandr, the inner circle, and the rest of the soldiers advanced from the other side.

The demonic beasts could do nothing but fall beneath the young man’s immense power or the strategic maneuvers and battle formations of the dozens of human soldiers.

Five minutes after the fall of the Golden Demonic Lizard, the fight on the battlefield near the walls of the Silver Wind Military Base came to an end. The humans and the small yellow cat took down the three thousand demonic beasts, leaving nothing but corpses.

The best part was that not a single human perished in the clash. Thanks to the constant supply of Origin Force, which healed their bodies and replenished their stamina, and the inner circle taking on the stronger demonic beasts, they all survived!

Vlad could not be happier with how things turned out, as the first part of the plan was nothing short of a resounding success. Still, he did not dare to lower his guard as he saw how the lower half of the demonic horde was making their way up and would reach them in a couple of minutes.

’4,000 demonic beasts, over a dozen Champion demons, and Arabus.’ A cold and somber light appeared in Vlad’s eyes as he saw the demonic horde slowly approaching.

Although they had killed three thousand demonic beasts, the ones sent to the front were the weakest and were supposed to work as cannon fodder, so Vlad did not dare to take this victory as the end of the battle.

"Back to the military base. Now!" Vlad’s voice echoed across the battlefield, awakening all the soldiers from their battle stupor. Instantly, the entire group headed to the walls.
