Chapter 629: Time to leave
The Sky Seed Depravitas wasted no time as they swiftly began the next phase of their task.
With careful nods to one another, Vlad, Jormungandr, Fafnir, and Ouroboros spread throughout the ancient laboratory, intending to collect every single item of value they could find.
Although they had already thoroughly analyzed and cataloged everything with their A.I. Chips, none dared lower their guard. After all, despite centuries of inactivity, this laboratory belonged to a Legendary Alchemist who had managed to imprison and experiment upon beings from the Legendary Realm. Even if the chances of encountering traps were minimal, overconfidence could be fatal.
Moving swiftly yet cautiously, Vlad gathered rare herbs, potions, exotic ingredients, and powerful components into his spatial ring. After a few moments, curiosity arose within him about his current condition. He sent a mental command to his A.I. Chip.
"Scan my current state."
The robotic voice of the A.I. Chip soon echoed clearly in Vlad’s mind:

-Host’s innate affinity for the Law of Space drastically improved due to the demon’s spatial physiology, increased potential for mastering spatial laws.]
A satisfied, wide smile spread across Vlad’s face as he reviewed the impressive changes within his body and soul. The demon soul had not merely elevated his physical and energy levels—it also fundamentally transformed his physiology, pushing him a step closer to truly interacting with the profound Law of Space.
With this blissful thought driving him onward, Vlad quickly resumed the process of gathering everything of value from the laboratory. The Sky Seed Depravitas moved swiftly, filling their spatial rings with even items that seemed initially useless, such as rotten potions and expired materials.
Though these were mostly worthless now, Vlad understood that even seemingly decayed substances might hold hidden potential or at least be of considerable alchemical research value for Jormungandr later.
Within just fifteen minutes, the once-crowded laboratory appeared completely bare. Only one piece remained behind—the large, sophisticated energy transfer chamber that previously contained the Legendary Angel and Demon.
Although the Sky Seed Depravitas desired to take this remarkable device as well, the chamber was embedded directly into the architecture of the building. Attempting to remove it would surely activate alarms or defense mechanisms they were ill-equipped to handle at the moment.
However, Jormungandr ensured he memorized every detail of its construction using his A.I. Chip, guaranteeing that he could replicate the design when the opportunity arose in the future.
Once satisfied, the four Sky Seed Depravitas exchanged determined glances, nodding solemnly to each other. In tight formation, they ascended the staircase leading from the subterranean laboratory up into what appeared to be the first level of a grand, luxurious mansion. Their eyes were sharp, senses alert for any sign of danger. After confirming that no immediate threats were awaited, they quickly began exploring this new area.
The mansion’s first floor revealed even more treasures, precious artifacts, and rare materials—though nothing quite matched the lab’s extraordinary contents. The group methodically collected these valuables, taking care not to trigger hidden traps or security measures. Once done, they cautiously approached the building’s grand entrance and stepped outside for their first glimpse of the city’s inner core.
What greeted them was a breathtaking landscape, a beautiful and pristine region that had endured the test of centuries without losing a shred of its glory. Only a few buildings stood scattered through the core area, but each was magnificent, built of radiant, flawless white marble-like stone that seemed immune to the ravages of time. The beauty was striking, invoking a sense of reverence and awe among Vlad and his companions.
Yet, just as their minds began to drift toward thoughts of plundering everything in sight and becoming absurdly wealthy once more, their instincts simultaneously surged with warning. Without even consciously deciding, the Sky Seed Depravitas swiftly retreated into the mansion, blending into the shadows.
Peering cautiously through the building’s ornate windows, Vlad spotted the towering figure of the Legendary Dino Warrior soaring high above the city, tirelessly patrolling the skies. Despite hours passing, the sentinel showed no signs of abandoning its vigilant watch. Clearly, trying to openly plunder the city’s core treasures now would be nothing short of suicide.
Despite knowing it was time to retreat, Vlad’s eyes settled hungrily on one final target: a greenhouse situated only a short distance from the mansion. Its transparent structure suggested that it housed precious herbs and botanical treasures that had miraculously survived the test of time.
Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Vlad activated the crystalline skin acquired from the Legendary Demon, immediately feeling the spatial affinity profoundly enhance his senses.
He focused sharply, and in the next instant, his body slipped seamlessly through space itself. Without actually moving physically through the intervening area, Vlad appeared directly within the greenhouse, unseen by the Legendary Dino Warrior above.
He wasted no time, swiftly sweeping every single valuable herb, root, and flower into his spatial ring—even carefully collecting the nutrient-rich soil itself. His actions were precise yet fast, leaving nothing behind but bare shelves.
Satisfied with this final acquisition, Vlad once again phased through the fabric of space, reappearing instantly inside the mansion beside his companions.
"It’s done. Time to leave," Vlad commanded decisively, his voice calm yet authoritative.
