Chapter 422: Biomass shipment (II)

Vlad could not help but smile as he gazed at the golden-armored giant. Profound happiness arose in his heart at the realization that he had managed to secure someone of such caliber on his side. The same admiration was evident in the eyes of everyone present; the plan Anglius had proposed was perfect and would assist them on multiple fronts.

It would not only work to destroy the biomass shipment.

After all, sooner or later, they would have to truly embark on an expedition into Kylen Country if they wanted to reach the heart of the Leviathan Race. This mock incursion would serve as an excellent test, proving the new weapon and moves that the hive mind had prepared for them, and it would diminish their pressure since they could retreat without any problem.

"Your plan makes perfect sense, Grand Marshal," Overlord’s voice echoed from the metallic orb hovering above the center of the command tent. "Unless anyone else has another idea they would like to share, we will follow that plan."

Overlord allowed everyone present to express their opinions and delve into a better strategy. The leaders exchanged glances, but after a moment of silence, it was clear that no one had any objections. The plan was sound, and they were ready to handle the fine details.

"The mock incursion into Kylen Country will not be easy," Overlord continued. "Although the Leviathans were defeated at Kuro Mountain and lost millions of units, the hive mind must have used the knowledge from that clash to prepare for a new fight. Traps or hidden dangers will surely await us in Kylen Country. Since our goal is just to draw attention and we must be quick and swift, only the top 3,000 Turkin riders, the Golden Wave Legion’s top 1,000 soldiers, and the Shadowstrike Legion will move. They will be accompanied by the Royal Guards."

Sharpness and solemnity arose in everyone’s eyes as the shadow of the next clash began to loom over them. Every encounter with the Leviathan Race was incredibly dangerous due to the overwhelming adaptability and unique forces that the hive mind could deploy. They could never lower their guard for even a second, as that would be tantamount to inviting death.

"The rest of the Golden Wave Legion and the Turkin riders will remain at Kuro Mountain," Overlord added. "We must reinforce the structure and keep a vigilant eye on the zone. The hive mind has already proven it can focus on two battlefields at the same time, so we cannot allow any Leviathan force to move through Karman Country unnoticed."

Grand Marshal Anglius and King Viserion shared profound nods as they heard Overlord’s distribution of forces. The incursion needed to be fast and powerful, so it made sense that the strongest would go. Leaving a sizable force at Kuro Mountain would ensure the protection of the Turkin and Xaos Kingdoms from any sneak attacks.

Overlord paused briefly, allowing a moment in case anyone had suggestions or deviations from the plan. The voices soon began to echo, and all the people in the room shared their opinions as the plan for the mock incursion grew more and more detailed. Flaws were found and fixed immediately. Finally, after ten minutes and several alterations to the program, the A.I. Chip focused on the next task.

"As for the force that will make its way to Kylen’s coast and intercept the biomass shipment, they need to be able to hide their presence at all times and, when the time comes, strike with overwhelming power before escaping what would definitely be an ocean of Levithans that will attack them with suicidal killing power."

Immediately, the metallic orb turned toward Vlad. "Prime Master, you, Lord Jormungandr, Lord Ouroboros, and Lady Freya should be the ones in charge of the biomass shipment interception."

Vlad’s eyes grew sharp as he realized that Overlord had given him the most dangerous mission. Those who would handle the shipment needed to conceal their presence at all times, remaining a secret until the last second if they wanted the plan to succeed. However, that was not all; they also needed to possess the destructive power to take down the shipment in a single swift strike, not giving the hive mind time to adjust or the shipment to escape.

Vlad and the other three were extremely powerful and had overwhelming destructive abilities, especially the Depravita of Wrath and the Depravita of Gluttony. Their evolution and awakening of their Depravita Seeds allowed them to use Depravita Aura and unleash attacks capable of decimating entire cities. Freya, with her newly enhanced bloodline and totemic powers, and Ouroboros, with his sharp attack and concealment abilities, completed the formidable team.

However, even after taking down the shipment, things would be far from over. They would be deep within Leviathan territories without a force to back them, and the moment the hive mind realized who they were, it would converge all its power around them, trying to swarm them with waves upon waves of Leviathans to kill them. They needed to have the power to escape.

No matter how one looked at it, the only ones who could achieve that seemingly impossible feat were the Depravitas and the Viking princess. Anyone else who went on this mission would most definitely perish.

Vlad glanced at Jormungandr, Freya, and Ouroboros. Determination and focus shone in their eyes, each understanding the gravity of the task ahead. Freya’s gaze was steady, her recent enhancements filling her with confidence. Jormungandr flicked his tail with a sly grin, ever ready for a challenge as the power of his aura flared. Ouroboros stood tall, his werewolf form exuding raw power, ready to push himself beyond his limits.

Turning back to the metallic orb, Vlad nodded firmly. "We are ready."

Overlord acknowledged his response. "Excellent. Preparations will begin immediately. The success of this mission is crucial to weakening the Leviathan forces and preventing them from reinforcing their numbers with the biomass they have collected from Caraban Country."
