Chapter 414: Special Unit’s escape?

"Fight! Kill them all!" The commanding words rang out from the sky, emanating from Vlad himself. The Depravita of Wrath wore a fierce and bloody smile as he observed Jormungandr’s attack tearing through the landscape. His red irises glowed intensely, brimming with determination and wrath.

"ZZZZZZZZZZZ!" Vlad’s eyes unleashed twin beams of concentrated energy. The lasers streaked across the battlefield like crimson comets, cutting through the air with precision. They struck the head of the largest Leviathan!

The Behemoth didn’t even have time to react. The laser beams pierced through its armored skull, sundering its brain.

The massive Leviathan trembled for a moment, wavering from one side to the other before its colossal body fell to the ground with a resounding crash. The next second, a gigantic stream of Origin Force emerged, splitting among all those who had played a role in its demise.

The sight of the fallen Behemoth ignited the fighting spirit of the human forces like a raging inferno. Though exhausted and battered, their faces lit up with fierce determination. With renewed vigor, they surged forward, wielding their weapons with almost supernatural strength.

The swarm of Leviathans was thrown into disarray. The hive mind struggled to adjust, not only to the loss of the Divine Leviathan but also to the demise of the Behemoth—an entity whose creation had cost genuinely gargantuan amounts of biomass.

And things only grew worse for the Leviathans. An explosion echoed among their ranks as the Depravita of Wrath descended from the sky like a wrathful deity. Though he had suffered severe injuries and his Burning Eyes of Fury had run out of energy, there was still more than enough power in him to decimate the Leviathans around him.

Vlad landed amidst a cluster of drones, his crimson eyes blazing with killing might. He sent a kick forward, unleashing an arc of lightning and fire that sundered the ground. The energy sliced through the air, obliterating more than a hundred drones in a single sweep.

Without missing a beat, he dashed to the side. He tackled a Leviathan warrior with such overwhelming power that it crushed every bone in the insect-humanoid hybrid’s body. The creature let out a shriek before collapsing into a lifeless heap.

"Follow the Xaos King!"

"Kill all those monsters!"

Grand Marshal Anglius and Major General Theodoro shouted with all their strength, their voices carrying over the cacophony of battle. They pushed the Golden Wave Legion and Shadow Strike Legion forward. The troops’ energy and power seemed even higher than when they were at their peak. They all gazed upon the Xaos King, their hearts swelling with pride and determination. Nothing was more glorious than fighting alongside the man considered a living god by their civilization.

Viserin clenched his fist as he witnessed the Xaos Forces marching forward, undeterred by danger. His eyes burned with a fiery resolve. Raising his sword high, he shouted, "Brothers and sisters! Forward! Kill everything! Show the worth of the Turkin people!"

The Turkin riders could have easily maintained a safer position by continuing to focus on the flanks. No one would have reproached them; they had proven their bravery time and again. Yet none hesitated, even for a second. They charged forward, resembling death’s scythe as they cut and crushed every Leviathan in their path.

Viserin’s face split into a fierce smile as his riders soon stood side by side with the Golden Wave Legion and Shadow Strike Legion. Together, they pushed down Kuro Mountain in a wake of death and carnage. The combined forces moved like an unstoppable tide, their unity and strength amplifying their effectiveness.

Grand Marshal Anglius and Major General Theodoro exchanged glances and nodded. Seeing the Turkin riders joining their charge filled them with renewed vigor.

They roared as they pushed their soldiers forward, almost as if competing to see who could slay the most monsters as they approached the Xaos King’s ring of destruction and death. The ground was littered with the remnants of fallen Leviathans, and the air was thick with the scent of ozone and ash.

The eyes of the Leviathans glowed with erratic flashes of light as the hive mind frantically tried to find a solution. It was attempting to turn the tide and stop the wave of human destruction, but it was out of moves. The Divine Leviathan had been its ultimate trump card, but while it had managed to challenge one Sage Tier Depravita, it could not withstand the combined might of two. The loss left the hive mind vulnerable, its strategies unraveling.

At the base of the mountain, the Special Unit Leviathan watched in dismay. The drones, aerial units, and insect-humanoid warriors were being butchered, their numbers diminishing by tens of thousands every minute. The battlefield was a scene of chaos and slaughter. The Special Unit itself was in dire straits, beset by the Viking princess Freya and the Lords of Horror, who were lunging at it with overwhelming killing intent.

A flash of realization crossed the Special Unit Leviathan’s eyes. It understood the danger it was in. In the next second, it leaped into the air, its left arm morphing into a wing. It intended to escape, recognizing that the battle was already lost.

A shadowy figure appeared behind it before it could flee into the distance. The Special Unit Leviathan’s eyes widened in shock as it realized the fiendish werewolf had managed to sneak up on it.

"Going somewhere?" Ouroboros sneered, his sharp teeth glinting.

The Leviathan was forced to transform its wing back into a shield as ten claws covered in destructive energy slashed toward its neck. The shield managed to block Ouroboros’s claws, sparks flying upon impact. The force of the blow pushed the Leviathan back, its single arm straining under the pressure.

Its instincts screamed in utter horror as Freya appeared above it. She descended from the sky like a vengeful valkyrie.

With its arm occupied blocking Ouroboros, the Special Unit Leviathan could not defend against Freya’s attack. Her mace, charged with every last ounce of energy in her body, crashed into its head. The impact was catastrophic. The Leviathan’s head exploded like a balloon filled with dark blood, fragments scattering in all directions.
