Chapter 300: Awe-inspiring

The battlefield was a symphony of death and destruction, with the human forces overwhelming the demons at every turn. The once-ferocious demonic horde was now reduced to nothing more than scattered remnants, helpless against the combined might of the Turkin Kingdom and the Xaos Kingdom.

And yet, even as the battle neared its end, the forces of the Xaos Kingdom remained unflinching, their focus unbroken, their training pushing their minds to absolute focus until absolute victory was attained.

Finally, after nearly an hour of screams and bloodshed, silence returned as the last demon was blasted to pieces. The human forces stood tall, blood covering their armor and weapons, as streams of Origin Force continued flowing into their bodies and souls.

Viserin felt exhausted, but a wide smile spread across his face as he surveyed the battlefield, realizing how few losses they had endured during the clash. Despite the massive size of the demonic horde, the number of casualties hadn’t even reached three digits.

He couldn’t help but glance toward the sky, his gaze settling on the small yellow cat with gratitude in his eyes. Viserin understood that without Jormungandr’s spells that disoriented the demons at the start of the fight, it would have been much more challenging to pierce through the horde, and many more Turkin soldiers would have perished.

The Turkin King performed a small, silent bow toward the cat before turning his gaze to the golden titan and the five thousand golden soldiers who had fought alongside them. He couldn’t help but feel awe, and he wasn’t alone—his generals and soldiers felt the same.

The Golden Wave Legion had been but a tenth of the size of the Turkin forces, yet they had butchered a third of the entire horde. And not just any part of the horde—the Legion had taken on the backlines, where the most significant number of demon Champions were concentrated.

Even now, with the battle over, when most would relax, the Xaos soldiers maintained battle formation behind the golden titan, their presence imposing. The blood on their armor cast an eerie sheen over their golden figures, making them seem like harbingers of death.

Viserin, Zamas, and Mark couldn’t help but wonder what kind of man had trained these soldiers—who could instill such focus and discipline to the point that they acted like machines on the battlefield, following orders and military strategy with every move?

Their thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the sight of a dark figure dashing toward them.

"The Abyssal is alive!" Zamas shouted, his voice filled with urgency as he saw the monster’s massive form moving toward them. Though the demon’s body seemed to be made of pure solidified darkness, there was no mistaking the frame of the Abyssal that led the horde.

The Turkin forces prepared for another battle, their hands tightening around their weapons, but King Viserin’s voice cut through the tension.

"Look closely—on the mount of the monster!"

Zamas squinted, and his eyes widened in shock as he saw the figure of the Xaos King mounted on the Abyssal. He was both amazed and confused, unable to comprehend what was happening. Luckily, their confusion did not last long.

Jormungandr’s cold voice echoed from above. "We can seal the souls of demons, summoning them as weapons to fight or sealing them into our hearts to become Demon Soul Masters."

The soldiers and leaders of the Turkin Kingdom were stunned, disbelief written across their faces. It sounded too incredible to be true, and skepticism rippled through the ranks.

Jormungandr would normally not care about their doubts, but now he took it upon himself to demonstrate. He glanced at Grand Marshal Anglius, and the next moment, the Demon Cage Runic Formation in the titan’s chest glowed. Black tendrils emerged, summoning a massive ten-meter-tall humanoid demon with the force of an Abyssal High Champion.

Silence and shock spread among the Turkin soldiers. From the king to the lowest soldier, they witnessed a power that seemed to belong only to the gods.

Vlad watched the exchange as he approached the group, a small smile on his face. The goal had been clear—to instill awe, wonder, and a sense of mystery in the hearts of the Turkin Kingdom, and it was evident that they had succeeded.

As the awe and shock still held the crowd in silence, Vlad arrived. He showed everyone how he sealed the demonic avatar into a parchment before locking eyes with King Viserin.

Viserin clenched his fists and took a deep breath to regain his composure. The force bordering his kingdom was simply too powerful, its capabilities beyond anything he could have dreamed of. But he refused to show weakness, standing tall as he met Vlad’s black, unyielding gaze.

Vlad stared at the king for a few moments before nodding. "The battle is over. We will now return to our kingdom. Soon, envoys will come to help with the trade agreements and establish the finer details."

With that, Vlad turned to Grand Marshal Anglius. "Guide the Golden Wave Legion back to the capital. Overlord will provide your commands."

After speaking, Vlad tossed the parchment containing the sealed Abyssal demon soul to the golden titan. "You can hand this over to the one with the greatest merit in this battle."

Grand Marshal Anglius carefully held the parchment in his massive golden hands before storing his space ring in it. He already had an idea of whom to hand it to, but he would wait for a more private moment.

The eyes of the Golden Wave Legion glowed with awe and desire as they heard the words of the Xaos King. Sealing a High Champion Demon Soul within their bodies would significantly enhance their cultivation. Meanwhile, the soldiers of the Turkin Kingdom could only look on with envy at the power the Xaos forces so easily wielded.

Vlad didn’t dwell on these thoughts. He cast one final glance at Viserin. "Until the expedition, Turkin King. I wish you good luck in your future endeavors."

With those words, Jormungandr swooped down, grabbing Vlad by the back as the duo took off, flying away at shocking speed.
