Chapter 237: Into Trigun City
Chapter 237: Into Trigun City
Vlad took the two Champion Devil Bloodlines from the Vengeful Runic Formation and left them at the doorstep of the alchemy laboratory. Jormungandr was amid his experiments, so Vlad did not want to disturb the small yellow cat. Overlord would inform him about the bloodlines for purification when the time was right.
After that, Vlad returned to the center of the underground level and glanced at the pile of death row criminals that resembled a small pyramid. Although he could proceed immediately with more sacrifices, he did not want the Legendary Devil to understand just how easy the process was for him, so he decided to wait a few hours.
Of course, Vlad would not simply waste his time. While waiting for the next sacrifice, he took out the materials needed for the demon soul-sealing runic formations. While Overlord would take care of the runic formations needed for the Mortal Tier soldiers, he would make the demon soul-sealing runic formations for those at the Champion level.
Vlad would need hundreds to grant one to all the Champions from the Xaos Kingdom, but that would not be a problem. He had the materials, and with everything he had learned, obtaining a soul integrity nearing 80% would not be difficult.
The next days were a constant cycle for Vlad. He would sacrifice twenty death row criminals to the Legendary Devil in exchange for two Devil Champion Bloodlines every three hours, before leaving them at the alchemy laboratory’s entrance. As he waited for the next batch, Vlad would make demon soul-sealing runic formations capable of sealing Champion demon’s souls.
After five days, there were no more criminals. As for the demonic sealing runic formations, Vlad had made nearly one hundred of them. While it was far from enough for all the Champions of the Xaos Kingdom, there was still time.
Vlad was very tired. While he had taken some rest during the runic creations, he had yet to have a proper sleep. Now that all the criminals were taken care of, he closed his eyes and fell asleep. After a few hours, he woke up with renewed energy and vitality and silently headed into the alchemy laboratory.
Inside the alchemy laboratory was Jormungandr, with a meaningful and focused light in his eyes as he stared at a metallic orb the size of a fist floating in front of him.
Vlad could not help but narrow his eyes as he gazed at the metallic orb and noticed the two magic matrices in it. The first was fiery red and the other lightning blue, their energy in a constant revolution.
Not wanting to do anything that could disturb the small yellow cat’s train of thought, Vlad did not dare to send forward the power of his A.I. Chip and continued gazing around the laboratory. Soon, his eyes focused on the fifty-three crystal flasks holding a red liquid.
Those were all the Devil Champion Bloodlines that Vlad obtained from the Legendary Devil. Jormungandr had already cleansed the spirit mark left by the Legendary Devil and, in the process, enhanced the bloodlines’ purity and power.
Vlad stared at all the Devil Champion Bloodlines and waited silently until Jormungandr finally broke out of his trance. It was only then that the small yellow cat noticed the young man’s presence, and he stored the metallic orb before gazing at him.
The duo looked at each other and nodded before leaving the underground level of the Xaos Tower. It did not take long for Freya to approach them. The young viking princess had been training, improving her cultivation and martial skills under the tutelage of Overlord, while the Depravitas focused on their experiments.
With the trio together, Vlad summoned the dark crow and jumped onto its back before rising into the sky. The sight of the demon summon drew many gazes from the people of Xaos City, but by this point, they were used to seeing phenomenal things, so it did not cause a ruckus.
Once the demon summon reached high into the sky, Vlad took control and sent it flying forward at a shocking speed. They were heading out of Inkmetal City, but not returning toward the Azarin Empire.
According to their trajectory, the place that Vlad, Jormungandr, and Freya were heading was none other than Trigun City. Although Inkmetal City was immense, it would not take long for the trio to reach the city, especially since they were flying.
As they flew across the sky, Vlad took out more parchment and carried on with his runic creation. There was still a large number of Champion Tier demon soul-sealing runic formations to make if Vlad wanted the entirety of the army to become Demon Soul Masters.
Jormungandr, on the other hand, took out the metallic orb from his space ring and continued his analysis. As for Freya, she limited herself to training, improving the energy flow into her body and Soul Dimension.
After a few days of flying, the demon summon finally left Inkmetal City and entered Trigun City. Thanks to the help of Overlord, Vlad knew exactly where to go. However, before diving to their final destination, the demon summon made a small deviation.
The demon summon flew around Trigun City for a few hours until they finally caught a small pack of demons. It was less than two hundred large, but luckily for Vlad, there was a powerful demon Champion in it.
The demon summon dived into the pack, surprising the demonic beasts. A roar echoed the next second as the demon Champion rallied the demonic beasts to face the incoming threat. However, it did very little since three figures jumped out of the crow, and in less than five minutes, all but the demon Champion were killed.
Vlad grabbed the demon Champion and jumped back into the black crow along with Jormungandr and Freya. He sent a wisp of fire to burn the corpses of the demonic beasts, before once more rising to the sky and this time finally heading to their final goal.
