Chapter 206: Soul sealing (I)

The battle inside Snow Town lasted for nearly thirty minutes before silence finally reigned. Freya’s breathing was rough, and there were wounds all over her body. They were minor and would heal quickly thanks to her vitality, but they could have become much worse if not for the young woman’s battle skills, awareness, and abilities.

Freya took a deep breath before turning her eyes to the last enemy, the three-headed horse-like demon Champion. There was no more energy in her body, so she would have to rely only on her physical strength for the fight, but there was no fear in her eyes as she adopted a battle stance.

The demon also focused on Freya with hatred and fear. A few minutes ago, its left head was blasted to pieces as it attempted to sneak up on the woman. After that failure, it chose to send its demonic beasts to tire her out before marching toward her again. It was actually a pretty good plan for a demon, proving it was wiser than its comrades.

The Viking princess and the Demon Champion stared at each other for a second before flashing forward with all their power. The demon moved first, raising its massive hooves with the intent to crush the young woman. Freya, however, met the attack head-on with her shield.

Had Freya been at full strength, she could have easily overpowered the demon. In her current state, though, she felt immense pressure. Her left arm trembled under the force, but her eyes narrowed with determination. She skillfully sidestepped, shifting her weight to the left, and used the demon’s momentum against it, breaking its stance.

The demon was shocked by her masterful martial skill. Before it could recover, Freya rotated her entire body, channeling all her remaining strength into a powerful strike. Her mace connected with the demon’s chest with a resounding impact, sending it hurtling through the air until it crashed into a house, shattering the structure to pieces.

Freya couldn’t help but smile at the effectiveness of her martial skill. Her battle style had always focused on overwhelming strength, but after her fight with Vlad, she had attempted to improve her martial arts to extend their range and capabilities.

The problem was finding someone who could train her since few people with the knowledge and abilities to help the young viking princess improve her martial skills. Vlad was one, but he was always busy. Luckily, she found a master the day that fiery eye appeared on the peak of the Xaos Tower.

The Overlord was tasked with helping all people grow, and he spread his teaching across the Silent Wind Military Base. Freya was one of the three people he was tasked with ensuring survival, so it was no wonder he immediately helped the Viking princess improve her power once they communicated.

In a few days under the tutelage of Overlord, Freya’s martial arts rose to a whole new level, which was why she was so confident in her victory against the demon Champion, even when exhausted with an empty energy pool.

After a few seconds, the demon Champion emerged from the broken house, its rage burning through its eyes as it gazed at the young woman and marched forward without hesitation. It didn’t matter if it was wiser than other demons; it was still a low member of the Abyss, and when pushed to rage, its rationality faded, leaving only the desire to kill.

Freya showed a cold smile as she flashed forward, restarting the fray, her shield raised while her mace was ready to strike at the first opening.

Just as they were less than ten meters away from each other, The Demon Champion’s body glowed with Force and suddenly burst forward with shocking speed, seemingly ready to trample the young woman.

The ability was powerful, but Freya was prepared. As the demon charged, she lunged down and to the side, her movements swift and precise. Simultaneously, she brandished her mace, striking the demon’s leg with a forceful blow. The impact shattered the demon’s leg, sending it sprawling to the ground.

"Ahhhhhh!" A scream of pain emerged from the demon Champion as its right leg was completely shattered. The demon didn’t have time to react further, as Freya immediately dashed forward with her mace raised, ready to deliver the final blow.

"Wait." Freya was ready to blast the last two heads from the Demon Champion when she heard Vlad’s voice. She turned to the side and saw the young man and the small yellow cat watching her from the top of a broken building. She glanced at the duo before nodding and putting her mace down.

Vlad smiled at Freya before jumping down. The fall was nearly ten meters, but his body was that of a High Champion Warrior with a Guardian Tier Bloodline, so he barely registered it. He then calmly walked toward the Demon Champion on the ground, which watched him with coldness.

Vlad could see that the demon would rip his throat out if given the chance, but he just smiled. "I have a use for you."

The demon Champion’s eyes narrowed. The fear of death had awakened it from its raging stupor, and it showed a smile as it adopted a submissive position. "I am willing to serve you."

"Oh, are you sure about that?" Vlad’s smile widened as he heard the words from the demon Champion.

The fiend couldn’t help but tremble as it saw that smile, sensing its instincts screaming at it to run. It had faced all sorts of monsters and nightmares in the Abyss, yet that young man with black eyes made its heart tremble in dread.

Unfortunately for the demon, before it could make a move, the small yellow cat on Vlad’s shoulder opened its mouth and unleashed an arc of lightning that reached its body and paralyzed it.

Vlad’s smile widened as he saw the defenseless demon. Waving his hands, he brought a Runic Formaiton engraved in a piece of demonic
