Chapter 138: Fighting the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental (III)
A burning hatred and killing intent emerged in the eyes of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental as it saw that the old Viking had managed to survive its attack once again. Things only grew worse as the massive amount of energy expended finally took its toll on the elemental, causing its entire body to tremble nonstop.
Freya did not lose that chance. Her eyes burned with overwhelming killing intent as she burned her Force and totemic energy, striking with all her power into the chest of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental, hitting right above the area where the energy core was.
"¡BOOOOOOM!"
A kinetic explosion resembling that of a missile taking down a small town echoed across Nagan Mountain’s peak the moment Freya’s mace connected. Her strike carried so much power that she sent the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental flying away with a deep indentation on its chest.
"¡BOOM!"
The Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental did not stop until it crashed into the stone formation right below the corpse of the Level 14 Abyssal. Its entire body was embedded in the rock due to the strength of the clash.
"Ice Age Fall!" Grey Hawk was a seasoned warrior and knew this was his chance. He shouted as he fired the spell he had been channeling all this time, consuming his vitality to improve the might of the attack, his eyes burning with killing intent as he sought to repay the elemental for all those bloody spears.
The Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental had just begun to extract itself from the rock when it saw with shock how a massive waterfall of icy energy fell on its figure.
"¡BOOM!"
It carried a devastating ice explosion, freezing everything around the clash and encasing the entire body of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental into a five-meter-tall icicle!
A smile appeared on the faces of Vlad, Freya, Grey Hawk, and Jormungandr as they saw the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental trapped in that ice prison. The elemental was monstrously powerful, capable of incredible abilities, and more than once it had almost taken their lives, but they had won.
"THUMP!" Or at least that was what the group thought until suddenly the eyes of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental glowed, and the sound of thunder echoed across the sky.
Before the Depravitas or Viking could do anything to stop it, a massive lightning arc fell from the sky, crashing directly into the ice prison.
Vlad’s eyes widened as he saw how the lightning strike not only shattered the ice prison but also seemed to have overcharged the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental. The entire body of the elemental glowed with radiant light, seemingly ready to explode.
[Warning! Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental’s body contains a massive amount of lightning energy! The Host must put distance between himself and the elemental as the energy is ready to explode at any second!]
A flash of dread appeared in Vlad’s eyes as he heard the warning of the A.I. Chip, but before he could even think of running away, the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental adopted a crouching position, as if it were ready to burst forward, and the target was none other than Grey Hawk and Jormungandr!
The old Viking had used almost all his energy in that last attack and was exhausted, so even as he felt the death stare of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental, he could not move away. Jormungandr was on his back, and his condition was not much better as it had taken a great toll pushing the Tesla Anchor to devour so much of the elemental’s lightning blood, and he was not in a condition to run.
"BOOM!" The Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental did not hesitate as it threw itself with all its power toward the old Viking and small yellow cat, ready to blast the duo that had used their spells to imprison it in ice and devoured its lifeblood.
Freya immediately flashed forward, intending to intercept the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental before this one could strike the duo, but she was too slow and would not make it in time.
"BOOM!" However, before the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental could reach the old viking and cat, another explosion echoed across the mountain’s peak.
Freya, Grey Hawk, and Jormungandr saw how Vlad had activated his Inferno Comet Runic Set, but instead of jumping into the air, he adopted a different position, allowing his body to flash horizontally, his target the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental.
Vlad was covered in fiery explosive energy, his arms forming a cross as he used his entire body as a battering ram and clashed with the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental.
"BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM!"
A massive explosion took place when the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental and Vlad crashed, as the lightning energy and fiery energy in both burst against each other, making the entire mountain peak tremble and sending everybody flying away!
Grey Hawk had managed to create a small barrier of ice right before the shockwave would reach him, diminishing the strength of the blast, but it still sent him and Jormungandr flying away down the mountain peak.
Freya had used her shield and energy to protect herself, allowing her to stay on the mountain peak, but the blood leaking from her mouth and burning wounds all over her body made it clear the damage was not small in the slightest.
As for Vlad and the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental, they took the worst part of the blast as they were at the center of it. The young man was blasted into the distance, crashing into a massive boulder that stopped his fall.
As for the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental, it crashed into the ground near the pool of blood, with so much strength that it generated a massive crater. Most of its rocky body was riddled with severe wounds that the Tesla Anchor in the sky used to keep consuming its lightning blood.
Silence echoed across the mountain peak after that explosion as none of the ones that managed to remain on it were able to move a single muscle, everyone badly injured.
Vlad was able to rise from the massive boulder after a few seconds, and he could feel just how much damage that crash had left on him. He tried to stand but after a few steps, his body immediately fell to the ground as the wounds were simply too much, forcing him to kneel.
’Damit, that tactic was simply to risk!’ Vlad knew he had been rash in using the Inferno Comet Runic Set to intercept the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elementa dash, but there were no regrets.
While his impression of the old viking had improved during this journey, that was far from enough for Vlad to take the brunt of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Element. After all, he could have perished in that clash.
However, along with the old Viking was Jormugnadr, who was also a target from the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental, and as long as there was a breath of air in his body, Vlad would never allow someone to take the small yellow cat from his side.
’I guess everything is all right now.’’ Although he was badly wounded Vlad smiled as he felt just how much damage the Lightning Abyssal Blood Element had taken in that crash.
"Ahhhh!" Unfortunately for the young man, just as he thought victory was already his, a small painful groan emerged from the crater and the next second the figure of the Lightning Blood Abyssal Elemental emerged from it.
"Damn bastard, why don’t you die!" Vlad could not help but shout in rage and hatred as he saw the elemental rising from the crater.
The Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental had suffered grave injuries, as one could see by the fact that its left arm was gone, and large cracks covered every inch of its rocky body. The most dangerous injury of all was on its chest, as it was clear by the blinding glow emerging from it that the energy core was in a very dangerous and unstable stage.
It was easy to see the immense pain that the chaotic and unstable energy caused to the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental, by the fact that it could barely move its body. However, even in that state that seemed like it was only minutes away from dying, the eyes of the elemental still burned with killing intent and hatred, all of them focusing on the young man kneeling on the ground.
’That thing’s mind and soul are already covered by the chaotic will of the Abyss,’ Vlad could not help but come to that conclusion as he saw the state of the Lightning AByssal Blood Elemental, making it clear that the elemental true essence belonged to the demonic kind.
The Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental attempted to move forward and kill Vlad, but just moving its body was simply too much. However, instead of giving up, it turned its focus to the pool of Molten Demonblood Essence, a chaotic light emerged in its eyes along with a demonic smile.
