Jun Wu Xiao continued his research on how to utilize dark energy. At the moment, he had no concrete ideas, and it wasn’t entirely his fault.

If you didn’t know what gunpowder was and were given a handful, what would you do with it? Eat it? Blow it away? Or throw it on the ground because it looked so ordinary?

Jun Wu Xiao found himself in a similar situation. He had no idea what dark energy could do besides helping people break through their realms.

"Argh, what am I supposed to do with dark energy? I can somewhat manipulate it, but what do I do next?" Jun Wu Xiao lamented.

He was very frustrated. His ability to interact with dark energy in nature didn’t seem to have any practical implications for his own strength.

He still believed that dark energy could help him achieve something truly beneficial to his power. He couldn’t accept that, after breaking through, he would have a useless ability.

Feeling utterly stuck, he lay back on the snow-covered ground and stared up at the sky, hoping to see something that might give him an idea.

He lay there staring at the sky until late at night, starting to feel sleepy. He thought to himself:

"If only I didn’t need to sleep, I wouldn’t waste so much time. It would be great if I could cultivate without needing rest."

Suddenly, an idea flashed through his mind. He jumped up and sat down, focusing his mind to sense the dark energy in nature.

Then, he actively drew this energy into his body from all over.

This was related to the speed of absorbing dark energy. Previously, when he pushed his body to its limits, it would start absorbing dark energy from any point.

Now, he wanted to take a more proactive approach, which required dividing his mind to every cell on his skin. While he couldn’t control every cell in his body as there were too many, he could still manage to control ten billion skin cells.

At this point, his body was absorbing dark energy at the same speed as when he cultivated before. However, the advantage now was that his body wasn’t damaged and didn’t need to rest to recover.

Suddenly, he stopped and said:

"Damn it, this is such a headache. But this method keeps my brain constantly recovering, so I don’t feel sleepy anymore. That means I can cultivate all day without rest. Another advantage is that since my body isn’t damaged, I can fight at any time. But why do I feel like something is repeating? It feels familiar, but I can’t remember when I started doing this." he mused.

Jun Wu Xiao tried to recall, but his memories were hazy. He sighed:

"Haiz, maybe it’s just a coincidence. This is the first time I’ve tried cultivating like this. Yes, it must be a coincidence."

Unable to explain it, he decided to accept it as a coincidence, relieving himself of further thoughts on the matter.

"Now that cultivation is sorted and I have a method to cultivate without wasting any time, let’s see if there are other uses for dark energy." Jun Wu Xiao muttered.

He lay back and looked at the sky, watching from night until the sun began to rise. As he did, a bird’s call reached his ears. This sound sparked an interesting idea in his mind, and he said:

"That’s it! What if I try to fly? Not like a bird, but by leveraging my interaction with dark energy in nature."

He immediately began experimenting. He pushed his brain to its limits to sense every cell on the surface of his body and connect them with dark energy.

He wasn’t doing this without reason. He felt that dark energy was omnipresent in the environment, and its density was consistent, at least for now, since he couldn’t venture into space yet, but he was getting close.

Jun Wu Xiao manipulated the dark energy linked to his body to float in the sea of dark energy. He started to rise, slowly at first, then faster, until he was several hundred meters in the air.

"Ha ha, I’m flying!" Jun Wu Xiao laughed loudly.

But as soon as he laughed, he fell to the ground. His quick reflexes allowed him to land easily without falling headfirst.

"Ah, just a momentary distraction and the connection with dark energy was disrupted, causing me to fall. Let’s try again and see what the maximum speed is." Jun Wu Xiao said.

He stood up, focused his mind to the maximum, and immediately tried again, this time ensuring he wouldn’t lose concentration like before.

He gradually floated upwards, pushing himself to reach his maximum speed. However, after flying for a while, he felt something strange. He stopped and said:

"Huh, the maximum speed is the same as when I run. So whether I’m flying or running, the speed doesn’t change. But why am I still hovering? I’m not even trying to fly anymore. Ah, I get it, it’s gravity. I’m in space, where there’s no gravity. Crap, I can’t breathe."

Jun Wu Xiao flailed around as if he were about to die... but of course, he wasn’t. At that moment, he realized he no longer needed to breathe and exclaimed in surprise:

"What? I don’t need to breathe anymore. Haha, great! That means I won’t suffocate if I ever fly into space. But there’s no point in just floating here. I should head back. Oh, and the density of dark energy in outer space is also unchanged compared to the ground."

He quickly flew back to his original spot, moving faster with the aid of Earth’s gravity.

Shortly after, he returned to his original place. Suddenly, a new idea struck him. He thought:

"Right, I should check the cores of the monsters now. With my ability to sense dark energy, I might discover something new."

Without hesitation, he ran straight to the cave where the monster cores were stored. He chose to run because he’d rather endure the pain in his legs than the headache he experienced earlier. However, in battle, he would have to fly as it offered many advantages over running or jumping.
