Chapter 116: The Battle Concludes
Chen Wo Lun threw a punch straight at Jun Wu Xiao’s head, but he quickly tilted his head to the left to dodge. However, Dao San Qian had been waiting on the left and immediately launched a punch towards Jun Wu Xiao’s head.
Jun Wu Xiao anticipating this scenario, jumped back to avoid the attack. Hearing a noise from behind, he spun around just in time to catch Yue Guang’s kick and threw her away. He then continued to run, keeping a distance from them.
Chu Wu, observing the changing situation from beneath the sand, stood up and shouted:
"Change of plans, he might want to take us out one by one, so let’s all attack him at once."
Five others nearby emerged from the sand and rushed towards Jun Wu Xiao. As he ran, Jun Wu Xiao thought:
"I just changed my tactics to deal with them individually, and now they’re all attacking at once. What should I do now? Well, I’ll have to risk it."
He stopped and charged directly at the nine of them, causing them to freeze momentarily. Dao San Qian said:
"Is he an idiot?"
"No, he knows that running won’t change anything, so he’s decided to attack recklessly." Chu Wu replied.
"Everyone, stay focused, don’t let him take us down one by one." Yue Guang cautioned.
Seeing their movements, Jun Wu Xiao thought:
"It’s over. It won’t be long before I lose. I can’t lose hope, I need to take down a few more before I lose. Target Jin Jian Cheng first."
Earlier, after exchanging dozens of blows with Jun Wu Xiao, Jin Jian Cheng had been severely injured and was almost entirely incapacitated. Yue Guang, noticing Jin Jian Cheng’s current condition, quietly devised a plan. She thought:
"Although I don’t know how you’ll attack, there’s a high probability that he’s your target."
Suddenly, she remembered they were in the desert and thought:
"Could it be that you plan to use the sand to obscure our vision while attacking based on the positions you’ve memorized and sound? If so, I can try doing the same."
This is called getting familiar through repeated fighting, and with Jun Wu Xiao’s style of utilizing everything around him if possible, it’s highly likely that he will do just that.
Ah, but this is only under difficult conditions, if it were normal, he would just charge straight ahead and fight.
Yue Guang’s high probability prediction was correct. In the moment he approached them, Jun Wu Xiao kicked up sand to obscure their vision. He remembered Jin Jian Cheng’s last position and relied on his hearing to detect sounds from that area to determine his current position.
"Just punch randomly, it’ll work." Jun Wu Xiao thought.
He then threw a punch, luckily hitting Jin Jian Cheng in the chest, sending him flying. Just as he was about to pursue, a surprise attack hit him. Yue Guang flew in and kicked his side, breaking several of his ribs.
"Damn it, who the hell guessed that?" Jun Wu Xiao cursed.
At this point, he was kicked out of the sand cloud. Yue Guang shouted:
"Everyone, follow me!"
"If I don’t know who did it after hearing that, I’d be really stupid. So it was her who kicked me, but it makes sense. After all, she’s the most familiar with my fighting style." Jun Wu Xiao thought.
He didn’t curse at her anymore. If it had been Dao San Qian, Chu Wu, or someone else, he would have kept cursing. Though his feet had touched the ground, no, the sand, he slid for a while longer before coming to a stop.
"More ribs were broken. I don’t think I can keep fighting much longer. Well, I’ll just go all out." Jun Wu Xiao thought.
At this point, he didn’t need to think of any more plans. This was a fight against people, not monsters. Moreover, they were a group not much weaker than him, and none of them were fools.
He charged directly at Yue Guang, who was leading the group, and launched an attack, throwing a quick punch forward.
As for Jin Jian Cheng, he was now lying still on the ground. Though he wasn’t completely immobile, he wasn’t much better off either. He realized the battle was about to end, so he stayed down voluntarily.
Yue Guang quickly dodged but was pushed by his foot, making her fall. He followed up with another punch, but she blocked it with her hands.
She was thrown dozens of meters away, with her remaining arm nearly incapacitated. Dao San Qian immediately launched an attack, kicking towards Jun Wu Xiao’s left side. Jun Wu Xiao blocked with his hand, but at that moment, Chen Wo Lun flew in and kicked at his head.
Jun Wu Xiao leaned back to avoid the kick, but Chu Wu, sliding on the sand, kicked his leg, causing him to stumble forward. Dao San Qian seized the opportunity, grabbed his head, and kneed him hard in the face.
Jun Wu Xiao quickly raised his hand to shield his face, but it wasn’t very effective, and his hand was broken in the process. The rest of the group rushed in and surrounded him, unleashing a flurry of attacks. Jun Wu Xiao now lay flat on the ground, looking utterly defeated.
Everyone exchanged glances until Yan Meng Long said:
"I only got to hit him a few times."
"Same here. It wasn’t even enough to warm up." Xia Ni nodded.
Jun Wu Xiao, still conscious but with broken limbs, panted and said:
"Huff huff, if you still have energy, fight each other. You’ve already started anyway."
Hearing this, they looked at each other for a moment before jumping away. Chu Wu asked:
"How should we fight now?"
"Just fight randomly until we’re all too exhausted to continue. But change the fighting style; if we keep fighting like this, we’ll all be crippled in minutes." Xia Ni said.
"Agreed." everyone nodded.
Now their battle resembled a training session more than a real fight. They no longer prioritized breaking limbs as quickly as possible but fought until their stamina was depleted. However, they had a lot of stamina, and they continued fighting for another whole day before stopping.
Meanwhile, the ones who had been severely beaten (Zhu Ji Feng, Jin Jian Cheng, and Jun Wu Xiao) cursed in their hearts:
"Damn it, you guys get tired and take a break while we’re lying here crippled."
But the cause of it all was Jun Wu Xiao’s sudden urge to win. Because of that, he managed to take down two people. If they had fought to deplete stamina, he wouldn’t have been able to defeat even one.
The others were not uninjured, but they only had broken skin, cracked bones, and bruises.
