Beginning of Cultivation
Chapter 110: Preparing for Battle

Chapter 110: Preparing for Battle

At this moment, whether in the Kunlun Mountains or in the capital, everyone is cultivated in seclusion. Furthermore, some newcomers have begun their cultivation journey, though most decide to stop once they reach the early stage of the body refinement realm.

Now, sixty years have passed, and Jun Wu Xiao has broken through two more minor realms. Feeling his own state, he commented:

"Up until now, it doesn’t really differ much from my development when I was in the body refinement realm advancing or the bone forging realm. If that’s the case, perhaps in another thirty years, I will break through to a new realm. However, I am somewhat looking forward to this new realm. Initially, it was skin and flesh, followed by bones, and now it’s internal organs. Next, it must be something very special."

However, speculation is just speculation, but it’s not unreasonable. After all, each breakthrough brings a difference from the previous realms, so it’s highly likely that the next time will be very special.

Sixty years for a cultivator is just a normal period of time, it can’t be considered long or short. But for humans, it’s a very long time, perhaps even a lifetime.

Over such a long time, humans gradually became indifferent to the existence of monsters because they haven’t appeared for a very long time. The previous generation, those who had to directly face the monsters, have almost all died, leaving only a few who chose to become cultivators and thus are still alive and healthy.

Children born in later generations don’t have a clear understanding of monsters or those considered gods. Some even believe that in the past, humans were just too backward and superstitious, thus deifying natural disasters.

They have heard stories about the monsters and the tragedies of the past. But to them, it’s just a story, nothing particularly special. After all, it sounds too unreasonable: something falls from the sky, survives, but is then defeated by humans—it’s really unscientific.

For those who have experienced it, it was a terrifying nightmare. For those who haven’t, it seems like just an ordinary fictional story, nothing special.

This is not surprising, it’s called "not believing until seeing with one’s own eyes." However, in families where there are cultivators, young people speaking in such a way will surely get a beating.

However, this faction is small, composed only of those who consider themselves intelligent. They think they understand science, but in truth, they don’t understand it at all. Science is the truth about the world, the rules of the world. Everything that exists in life is science, not anti-science.

As for things we haven’t seen or don’t have concrete evidence of, they belong to speculation. They are neither scientific nor anti-scientific.

At this time, the peak combat strength of humanity (Jun Wu Xiao and his friends) had all broken through to the food avoidance realm.

Although powerful, it had been a century since they had actually fought. They had indeed grown stronger, but they hadn’t tested their current level in battle. If they suddenly had to fight, they would need some time to adapt.

However, the time they needed to adapt was not long. With their brains having been enhanced countless times, their ability to process and accept information was very fast.

If their brains were that good, why didn’t they quickly create a bunch of inventions for humanity? It’s not that simple. All the basic functions of the brain were enhanced, but their creativity remained unchanged. So, honestly, they might not be as creative as some extraordinary humans.

Jun Wu Xiao suddenly stopped cultivating and thought:

"It’s been a long time since I last fought, why don’t I gather everyone for a fight? I remember passing by a place that seemed perfect. It’s all sand, so fighting there shouldn’t be a problem. Alright, it’s decided. Fighting is a joy... ahem, honing combat skills is the responsibility of a Guardian God."

Then he happily went off to call everyone for a brawl. Although he was very serious when fighting enemies and didn’t enjoy it at all, he quite liked sparring. He preferred the kind of fight where he didn’t hold back but also didn’t hit critical vital points, allowing the match to last longer.

Obviously, he only liked sparring with his friends. Real enemies needed to be dealt with as quickly as possible.

Yue Guang was cultivating when she saw Jun Wu Xiao approaching. She was a bit surprised. In the past six decades, he had never come here.

She wondered why he was here this time. Moreover, he looked quite happy, but it was definitely not due to a breakthrough, as he was only slightly stronger than her at this moment.

"What are you doing here?" Yue Guang asked.

"Why so cold? I’m your Path companion, you know. By human standards, calling you my wife is still appropriate." Jun Wu Xiao said, making a pitiful face.

Seeing his expression, Yue Guang burst out laughing. She said:

"Ha ha, what kind of husband doesn’t bother to see his wife for six decades?"

"You didn’t come to see me either." Jun Wu Xiao retorted.

Yue Guang found his demeanor amusing, but she sensed he was planning to ask her to do something. She asked:

"Spit it out, are you asking me to do something?"

"He he, I want to take you on a honeymoon." Jun Wu Xiao replied with a grin.

Yue Guang’s eyes widened in surprise. She wondered if she was too old and going deaf or if she was still suffering from the aftereffects of the past. But looking at his expression, she knew he was just talking nonsense.

"Oh, really? So, where are you planning to take me?" Yue Guang played along.

"To a very vast desert, surrounded by sand." Jun Wu Xiao said.

Hearing this, Yue Guang recalled past events. She laughed cheerfully and said:

"Ha ha, I see. It’s been a long time since we fought each other, hasn’t it?"

"Exactly, fighting in the desert means we don’t have to worry about causing much damage to people or living creatures there. After all, there are few living beings in that area." Jun Wu Xiao nodded in agreement.
