Chapter 101: Food Avoidance Realm
Chapter 101: Food Avoidance Realm
Jun Wu Xiao, along with the others, remained in seclusion, continuously cultivating without going anywhere during this period.
Xia Ni, a year after his speech, abdicated the throne. The court officials had predicted correctly, there was no way there wouldn’t be someone capable of replacing him. Several high-ranking officials also tried to run for the position of emperor, but they were not at the top of the rankings.
Surprisingly, the first-ranking candidate was a low-ranking official, for some reason, that guy had extensive knowledge in leadership and good moral qualities.
Time flew by, and now eight years had passed. Jun Wu Xiao was on the verge of a breakthrough, ready to experience the sensation of advancing to an entirely new level once again.
His left arm was slowly regenerating, looking far from weak. It was a perfect arm, full of vitality.
Jun Wu Xiao looked down at his arm and tried moving his hand, finding everything functioning smoothly. He laughed loudly:
"Ha ha ha, excellent, I can finally clap again. Oops, ahem, I’ve finally returned to my perfect state."
Setting aside his joy at having all his limbs back, he assessed his current strength and physical condition. Noticing his increased lifespan, he exclaimed:
"Ha ha ha, an additional two hundred years of lifespan. Wonderful, more time to cultivate. My overall strength has tripled. Hmm, this time, it seems my organs have been enhanced."
He suddenly felt something quite different from before:
"Huh, it seems I no longer feel hungry. Ha ha, that’s great. Those leaves I gathered in the forest didn’t taste good anyway. This is quite similar to the body refinement realm, it also required four breakthroughs to reach a new realm. Now, I have enough information to name the previous realm."
Jun Wu Xiao thought for a moment and finally came up with a name:
"Let’s call it the bone forging realm. The four minor stages can be similar to those in the body refinement realm. Sounds reasonable, since the previous realm’s main enhancement was to the bones. I might as well name the current realm too. Let’s decide on a name, if there are mistakes, I can change it later."
He began thinking of a name for his current realm. In this realm, the organs were significantly enhanced, and he gained the ability to not require food. After a while, he said:
"It’s decided, I’ll call it the food avoidance realm. Since I don’t need to eat, the name fits perfectly."
He was about to run off and inform everyone of this news but then paused to think:
"Yue Guang and Dao San Qian are in poor condition. It wouldn’t be appropriate to brag to them. Just let them know the specifics when they’ll recover."
With this thought, he saw no reason to stop and immediately went to find the two of them first, leaving Feng Shuang for later, as Feng Shuang still had a long way to go before breaking through to this realm.
His maximum speed in a short period could reach around 1,750 miles per hour(excluding air resistance), so he quickly found Yue Guang.
As always, she was diligently cultivating. Whether she could see or not didn’t matter, as long as her body could move, she could still cultivate.
Even though she couldn’t see, her hearing was extremely sharp. She could sense a very powerful presence approaching.
She sensed it was powerful because of the overwhelming feeling from the approaching person, and there was only one person in Kunlun Mountains with such capability. She said:
"You’ve broken through to a new realm, right?"
"Yes. I call the previous realm the bone forging realm, and the current realm the food avoidance realm." Jun Wu Xiao said.
Yue Guang nodded at the first part but felt he was being a bit hasty with the second part. She said:
"The bone forging realm sounds fine, but what’s this food avoidance realm? You’ve just broken through, and naming it now seems too hasty."
Jun Wu Xiao didn’t deny it. He said:
"It’s true that it’s a bit hasty, but it’s not that important. I named it based on the enhancement of the internal organs and the ability to avoid eating organic food in this realm. If there’s any mistake, it can be corrected later. For now, I call my current realm is the early stage of the food avoidance realm."
Yue Guang didn’t intend to argue about it. After all, it was just a name, it make conversations more convenient. She said:
"As long as it’s convenient for you. According to what you said, if everything goes normally, I should recover in ten years, right?"
Jun Wu Xiao nodded, even though she couldn’t see that nod. He said:
"That’s right, you’ve been cultivating just ten years behind me, so that’s highly likely."
"Good, then you can go somewhere else and let me continue cultivating." Yue Guang said.
"Huh, what? You’re kicking me out? You don’t need me anymore? Hic hic..." Jun Wu Xiao said in a pitiful tone, as if he were about to cry.
However, he never actually cried. Moreover, his act was so fake that even without opening her eyes, Yue Guang could tell he was lying just by his voice.
Hearing his antics, Yue Guang laughed:
"Ha ha, did your breakthrough make you crazy? What kind of acting is that? Even if you stay here, what can you do? Just get in the way of my cultivation?"
"Ha ha, just kidding. I’m off to see Dao San Qian now. I hope you recover soon." Jun Wu Xiao said before running off.
Yue Guang withdrew her smile and continued her cultivation. She wasn’t pretending to laugh, but cultivation itself wasn’t particularly joyful, so there was no reason to smile.
Cultivation was arduous, although she was accustomed to the hardships, it didn’t change the fact that it was arduous.
After a while, Jun Wu Xiao finally found Dao San Qian. He was lying asleep on the ground, surrounded by signs of his recent cultivation, indicating he hadn’t been asleep for long.
Cultivators often looked like this—training until exhaustion, then resting before repeat everything.
But it’s not like there isn’t a faster method, but the shortcut requires someone strong enough to support them along with appropriate resources. But they don’t have those things at all.
But cultivators will have this, but only for them in the future or future generations. And support is only to speed up the process, but the key points they still have to try themself.
Quite unfair but also obvious. The juniors who follow will have support from their seniors or have seen the path their seniors have gone through to model themselves.
Just like any other profession, the pioneers are always the ones who have to figure things out on their own, but the followers can rely on the knowledge from the pioneers to make their own progress become faster.
