Chapter 507: 0507 Damn!_1

She has always been generous when it comes to giving gifts, just like yesterday at Taylor Smith’s birthday. She didn’t attend for nothing, but really didn’t know what to gift. Knowing that Taylor Smith appreciated calligraphy and painting, she gave him a piece she had acquired at an auction a few years before, donated by Clinton White.

It was worth three hundred million.

Although Taylor Smith said her presence was enough, Ellen Young couldn’t possibly be cavalier about such matters of courtesy.

At that time, she and Lucy Wood were still tentatively getting along, and Lucy didn’t bring up the subject of gifts, which were usually arranged by Clinton White.

But now, she thought that gifts she chose herself seemed somewhat better.

She already owned real estate in Imperial City and really saw no need to give any away, so she said, "Then buy it, put Lucy Wood’s name on it, consider it a belated birthday gift from me."

Clinton White: "? Oh, that works."

Clinton White had no objections. After all, it was Ellen Young’s money, and the recipient was her sister.

He even commented with a smile, "You’re pretty good to Lucy Wood."

Ellen Young replied, "She’s my only sister, after all."

With the Wood Family gone, Ellen wasn’t really thinking about being nice to Lucy; it was just that money was merely a number to her, and since her relationship with Lucy wasn’t bad, there was no need to be wary of her.

If she liked something, she’d just give it.

It didn’t cost much.

Clinton White thought about it and didn’t have much to say; after reconsidering the situation, it made sense. Compared to Ellen, the money Lucy made was insignificant. Granted, Lucy’s status had soared thanks to Ellen, but she never talked about her sister in public. When Ellen’s identity wasn’t public, Lucy had even voiced her outrage when Ellen was slandered — pretty courageous for a female star.

He felt his current treatment towards Lucy wasn’t bad, so naturally he had no complaints, and quickly took care of things as instructed.

Of course, Clinton White had a quirk; he liked to do things with a flourish.

Like the ’Welcome Boss’ voiceover, termed extravagant by Ellen, and now this kind of gift-giving.

If it was something from Ellen, especially worth hundreds of millions, why hide it?

Show it off boldly!

Lucy too had her share of hard times in the past, having suffered in the industry. Now, her life had sweetened — such was her good fortune.

It’s all destiny.

So when the ancient mansion was bought, the next day, a courier arrived at Felicia Frost’s crew’s location.

The courier box was exquisitely packed and required Lucy Wood herself to sign for it. Initially, Felicia was hesitant to accept it, fearing it might be some form of terror, as there had been instances of fans intimidating celebrities through courier. However, it was said that the parcel was sent by Wanton.

Felicia called Lucy over immediately.

"What’s this?"

Curious, Lucy took the package, revealing a large box inside. Felicia leaned in to take a look, and the other crew members, idle and curious, gathered around to see what it was.

Lucy pulled it out and found a letter and a thin book.

The book resembled some sort of certificate. Upon opening it, the text was in Cherry Blossom Country’s language; Lucy didn’t recognize any of it except the words for ’real estate.’

Lucy then took out the letter, which included a photo of a manor and a translated document.

The manor was huge, an ancient mansion located in Cherry Blossom Country. The content of the letter was quite simple, written by Clinton White on behalf of Ellen Young.

[Here is your belated birthday gift. Be happy every day. — Ellen Young]

Involuntarily, Felicia swore, "Fuck!"

The people around: "Damn!"

Lucy: "..."
