Chapter 466: 0466 He is jealous of me_1
Ruffy Smith made a reservation at a Western restaurant.
Despite being a Western restaurant, it had an excellent reputation, boasting three Michelin stars and features in world-class authoritative magazines.
The restaurant only served a set number of guests each day, and money couldn’t always buy a reservation.
Generally, one needed to book a month in advance just to have a meal there.
Of course, in the face of absolute money and status, exceptions had to be made.
Even though Ruffy had made a last-minute reservation, he had still secured a table.
An elegant and tranquil small dining area, this was a temporary private space, as this place was an auxiliary restaurant that usually only took bookings from guests who preferred absolute quiet. There were no separate private rooms or the like.
But today, Ruffy had reserved the place, and the vast restaurant was occupied by just the two of them.
Aside from the waiters who came to serve.
When Ellen Young arrived, Ruffy was already there, dressed in a black shirt, his long legs elegantly crossed as he sat opposite her at the long table, watching her approach with a smile, led by a waiter.
Under the dim and ambiguous light, Ruffy’s face seemed to be coated with a soft glow, blurring into the image of an angel descended to earth.
Pity that his personality was nothing like an angel’s.
As Ellen sat down, Ruffy took the initiative, "Would you like to open a bottle of red wine?"
In such a lovely atmosphere, it would be quite inappropriate not to enjoy a glass of red wine to enhance the mood.
Unfortunately, Ellen declined, "No, thanks. You can drink if you open it; I can only have juice."
She had already resolved not to touch a drop of alcohol, and the smile on Ruffy’s face clearly had some mischievous intent behind it. It wasn’t hard to imagine that he was waiting for her to get drunk.
Ellen also asked, a bit curious, "You know that once I’m drunk, I like to pose questions for you guys. Do you enjoy answering my questions that much? You didn’t manage to solve the two questions I gave you last time."
"Cough."
Ruffy straightened up and raised an eyebrow, "I think it’s unfair for you to challenge me with questions that would perplex other mathematicians, Ellen. You know I’m not a math major."
Ellen chuckled, "Then don’t let me drink."
The waiter poured Ellen a glass of juice while Ruffy still opened a bottle of red wine.
He brought it himself.
Ellen might not drink, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t.
Yet Ruffy seemed particularly busy that day; not long after sitting down, his cellphone started to ring. The sound somewhat spoiled the mood, and Ruffy glanced at his phone, silently turning off the ringtone.
Then, gazing back at Ellen, who was sitting across from him on their date, Ruffy held up his glass of red wine and took a sip, his eyes deep and smiling, "Ellen, did you know that a few days ago I dreamt of having a date just like this with you?"
He had hoped to have a face-to-face date with Ellen, and unexpectedly, just a few days later, the dream turned into reality.
So some dreams weren’t impossible to fulfill after all.
Like certain dreams that were too intimate and romantic.
Ellen responded with a hum and asked a question, "I heard from Damien Frost that you’ve never had a girlfriend. Am I your first love?"
Sometimes, there wasn’t enough time, and some questions had yet to be asked in full.
Ruffy raised his eyebrows in response, "You mean I’m not your first love? That works out perfectly; we’re a match made in heaven."
Ellen clasped her hands on the table and looked at him, "Clinton White told me you’ve never had a girlfriend. Rumors say you’re either gay or there’s something wrong with you. Are you aware of these rumors?"
Ruffy’s expression darkened briefly, "Ellen, let’s not talk about these depressing things on our date. You know Clinton White has always had it in for me. I even suspect he’s the one who concocted and spread these rumors. Ellen, he’s just jealous of me."
