Chapter 463: 0463 I thought she would have better days_1

Knowing that Lucy Wood was returning to the hospital, Daisy Wood had probably guessed that it was Ellen Young who had called earlier.

She now greatly envied the relationship between Lucy Wood and Ellen Young; if she had supported Ellen like her older sister did back then, perhaps things wouldn’t have turned out this way today.

But she also knew that there was no medicine for regret in the world.

With her state of mind at the time, she hadn’t even supported Lucy, for fear that Olivia Johnson’s affection for her would vanish because of it.

Now that the matter was over, expressing regret would seem too opportunist, and she knew she no longer had the right to do so. She hadn’t thought of clinging to Ellen; she just carefully asked Lucy, "Big sis, may I join you to visit Ellen?"

Lucy Wood furrowed her brows, "You want to go?"

Daisy Wood waved her hand, "I just want to see her. Don’t worry, I won’t mention this matter to her. I won’t ask for her help. I just want to see her once and won’t disturb her in the future."

Since Daisy had said so much, Lucy could guess that Ellen must certainly know she was meeting with Daisy right now. Besides, with her long-time understanding of Ellen, she knew Ellen was someone who didn’t meddle in others’ affairs or pay attention to certain things, so there wouldn’t be an issue with letting Daisy see her.

Lucy and Daisy were at a coffee shop near the hospital. After finishing their conversation, Lucy led Daisy back to the hospital.

She was staying at a private hospital in Imperial City, where the environment was nice and privacy was highly valued. She occupied a VIP ward, where she wouldn’t be disturbed easily, and definitely no paparazzi would bother her.

When she returned to the ward, she found that Ellen was already sitting on the sofa inside.

Ellen was playing with her cellphone. Hearing the noise of Lucy’s return, she casually lifted her eyes and saw Daisy following behind Lucy.

"Ellen."

Lucy called out, and Ellen nodded. As Lucy thought, Ellen didn’t show any rejection to Daisy’s arrival, but that didn’t mean she was welcoming either—it was purely the attitude of a stranger.

When Daisy saw Ellen, their recent encounters had not been too pleasant. In her heart, this second sister had always maintained a distant and aloof demeanor. Now it seemed she truly had the means to, had she been raised in the Wood family from her youth. With Ellen’s excellence, she could have outranked even Edward Wood, but alas, the only thing that didn’t exist in this world was a regret medicine.

Daisy pulled at the corner of her mouth, somewhat awkwardly and somewhat shyly, calling out, "...Sister Ellen."

She didn’t call her ’second sister,’ knowing she didn’t have the right. She was younger than Ellen, so calling her sister was hardly offensive.

In the past she had been thoughtless, but now Daisy seemed to know her place.

Ellen didn’t have any special way of treating Daisy; she casually and indifferently nodded her own head, "Mm, hello."

This response helped Daisy to relax a bit.

She thought, at least she was not hated; being treated as a stranger was sufficient.

Ellen had just come to see Lucy, and when the three of them sat down, the atmosphere was still quite awkward. Lucy did not deliberately start any conversation, and after sitting for a while, Daisy sensibly told Lucy she was leaving and would visit her another day.

Since Lucy was ill, Daisy indeed had the right to visit her.

As Daisy left, Lucy watched her lonely figure and sighed softly, "I thought she was the only one who had good days left."
