Chapter 420: April 20th Postponement_1

Ellen Young nodded and followed Damien Frost to the hospital.

Ruffy Smith also accompanied them, and the program was temporarily suspended. The only others who went were the program’s female director and Lucy Wood’s agent, Felicia Frost.

Both of them were very concerned: one worried about Lucy Wood’s health, and the other about the potential for a big problem that could threaten the program, regardless of how influential its backing might be.

The rest of the crew was busy dealing with the online storm, as the audience had clearly seen Lucy Wood’s accident, and it was not something that could be concealed.

Without a satisfactory response, just Lucy Wood’s fans alone would probably tear the production team apart.

On the way to the hospital, Lucy Wood complained of dizziness a few times before falling asleep.

It was unclear whether she had passed out due to the blow to her head, but the doctor performed a simple screening and only found that some parts of her body were scratched by the thorns of the shrubs. There were no serious injuries—the real concern was whether the hospital’s full examination would reveal any other problems.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Lucy Wood was taken in for examination while Ellen Young and Ruffy Smith waited in the lounge.

Ruffy Smith poured a glass of water for Ellen Young who, after receiving it, said, "Thank you."

Seeing her with her head bowed, Ruffy Smith frowned slightly, "Don’t worry too much, I know you’re concerned."

"No."

Ellen Young shook her head: "I just didn’t expect such an accident to occur."

She often went to the back mountain and didn’t perceive any danger there.

Hearing this, Ruffy Smith thought for a moment, his expression growing more somber: "She could fall on the mountain; it seems there are indeed risks. Don’t go up the mountain alone anymore."

Ellen Young avoided the issue, simply saying, "Let’s wait for the examination results."

Because of Lucy Wood’s special status, the examination was carried out promptly, and the results came out quickly.

Nothing serious had happened, it was just a mild concussion, probably the reason she was complaining of dizziness—she might have bumped her head against a tree during the fall.

With good rest over the next little while, she shouldn’t have any problems.

Once the results were out, the production team breathed a sigh of relief, and Felicia Frost was also reassured, although she was still somewhat shocked to hear about the mild concussion.

Falling while walking normally could lead to a mild concussion, and the need to rest for two or three weeks would definitely delay her work.

Lucy Wood had since woken up and, after being examined, learned about her concussion. She had some memory loss concerning the fall and still experienced occasional dizziness—all normal symptoms—yet it was evident that she wasn’t in the best condition.

Upon receiving the news, Ellen Young and Ruffy Smith entered together. Lucy Wood lowered her head when she saw Ellen Young.

She felt somewhat embarrassed.

Just walking in the back mountain, she had ended up with a concussion.

It was her own fall, and no one else was to blame; she could only admit that she had been too careless.

She hadn’t paid attention to what was beneath her feet while walking.

At the sight of Ellen Young, she felt even more ashamed because she didn’t know if Ellen would think her IQ was beyond help.

Ellen Young, seeing Lucy Wood awake, didn’t say much, only, "The doctor said you have a mild concussion. Take a few weeks off to rest. Don’t rush about work matters. If the program can’t be filmed, try not to record it; you’re not fit to stay here."

Lucy Wood was taken aback: "But... there are still many of my scenes left to shoot for ’People of the World’..."
