Chapter 412: 0412 Lucy Wood cooking_1
Two people came out again into the courtyard, where Michael stood motionless, his body still.
Naturally, he couldn’t move because his power had been shut off.
Ellen removed the chip to check it again, which would take time, mostly in another small room of hers.
She had repurposed a room to serve as a mini laboratory, and seeing her get busy again, Ruffy couldn’t stay long.
Once she was engrossed, she lost all concept of time, and the program team also needed to remind her.
It wouldn’t be long before Lucy and the others returned, and the cameras would be there no matter what.
No matter how they tried to avoid it, Ruffy would inadvertently be caught on camera.
Ruffy didn’t make it difficult for them and simply left the courtyard.
It wasn’t long before the figures of Lucy and Clyde appeared on the hillside.
It was almost noon, and they were coming home for lunch.
Ellen, who was still examining the chip and rechecking the data, was aware it was lunchtime and that she needed to cook, but it was a critical moment for her, and she had no mind for it.
After all, she didn’t consider cooking for others as her sole purpose, and naturally wouldn’t bother with anyone when she had thoughts to process.
When Lucy returned and saw the empty kitchen, she paused, initially pleased, then called out, "Ellen?"
Ellen’s voice came from the bedroom: "I’m a bit tied up with something, you guys handle lunch yourselves."
Clyde, who had finally settled down in the courtyard with his basket, was taken aback.
Lucy promptly responded, "Okay!"
Unable to eat Ellen’s cooking was disappointing, but the thought that Clyde couldn’t eat either brought joy to Lucy.
She nearly jubilantly said, "No problem, I remember I bought some instant noodles and put them in the refrigerator, I’ll cook them for you."
Unable to produce delicious food, they could still make do with instant noodles.
Clyde almost felt an ominous premonition.
Lucy turned around, blinked at Clyde and said, "Ellen is busy this afternoon, so I’ll make instant noodles for you. It’s all I can do, so don’t complain."
"Of course, of course not," Clyde quickly waved his hand: "Whatever you do is fine, I am not picky."
He was grateful that Lucy was even willing to cook for him; he feared Lucy might ask him to help with cooking.
And if that happened, Clyde would rather faint in the kitchen.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to cook, he simply didn’t have the energy left.
Lucy had dragged him around the back mountain for several solid hours since early morning; although she was exhausted herself, she pushed him mercilessly. Now Clyde was both tired and hungry, unable to show any emotion on his face, his thoughts a tangled mess, feeling all sorts of unpleasant emotions, even harbouring thoughts of strangling Lucy.
Keep in mind he was a celebrity; though he sometimes exercised, nothing matched this level of intense activity. Lucy could endure because she wasn’t carrying anything, while he had to run up and down with a basket on his back. They did gather a lot of fruit, but it was heavy!
The main concern was what the barrage might think, and most likely, a bunch of cult fans would find their interaction cute and ship their CP.
Clyde felt if anyone actually entertained that thought, they were utterly blind.
At this point, not only did he not entertain any thoughts of hyping up a CP with Lucy, he wished she would just let him be.
The thought of currying favor with Ellen had disappeared entirely.
Lucy smiled mysteriously and turned to actually cook for Clyde.
