Chapter 407: 0407 The Beginning of the Nightmare_1
Last night, Lucy Wood’s agent gave her a sting, and of course, Felicia Frost relayed this to Lucy Wood.
At that time, Lucy Wood was applying a facial mask in her room, thinking about how to deal with Clyde Wilson tomorrow.
Was she unclear about Clyde Wilson’s intention?
Wasn’t it just to get close to Ellen Young and then gain some benefits?
Even though the program team had selected him, Lucy Wood had her own plans. Look, she spent the whole day fishing with Clyde Wilson today, and didn’t the program turn out to be effective?
Even without Ellen Young, everyone still had a great deal of fun.
In fact, most of the time, Ellen Young’s life was genuinely dull and boring. The viewers who could keep watching were attracted by the countryside lifestyle and her personal status. Sometimes they didn’t even watch the live broadcast, and so Lucy’s approach had pretty good results.
Even if some fans sensed something amiss, they probably thought it was their own misunderstanding.
Clyde Wilson was such a nice guy; why would Lucy Wood dislike him?
Lucy Wood did dislike him, especially after knowing the idea her agent, Felicia Frost, had brought from the other agent, which made her dislike him even more.
Still thinking about starting a CP (couple pairing) hype?
Lucy Wood almost died of laughter.
She would be crazy to create a CP with Clyde Wilson. Even if they interacted consistently now, as long as Lucy Wood disagreed, Clyde Wilson’s agent certainly wouldn’t dare to randomly stir up the situation without her consent.
Early in the morning, as usual, Ellen Young got up and made breakfast. She saw Lucy Wood get up early, in high spirits, and even came over to ask if there were any fruits on the back mountain so that she could take Clyde Wilson up to pick wild fruits.
Haran Village was in the mountains, and there were fruit plantations on the back mountain. Ellen Young occasionally went there, too, but she couldn’t help feeling skeptical when she saw Lucy Wood intending to go, "Are you and Clyde Wilson going?"
It wasn’t that she was overthinking; it was just that Lucy Wood didn’t seem like the sort who would do such things.
The back mountain was mostly slopes, and Ellen Young was afraid they might have an accident.
"It’s okay. I can’t possibly lead him, a big man, around to play all the time, right? Of course, doing farm work is the way to showcase the beauty of our life," Lucy Wood said, waving her hand with a bright smile: "Don’t worry, I’ll take care of myself. If I get tired, I’ll come back."
Ellen Young was silent for a moment, then declared, "You dislike Clyde Wilson."
It wasn’t a question but a statement.
After all, she was somewhat perceptive; Lucy Wood’s dislike of Clyde Wilson was all too apparent.
The essence of the program was between her and Lucy Wood. Lucy Wood should have been interacting with Clyde Wilson and Ellen Young together, but the way Lucy Wood dismissed Clyde Wilson yesterday was quite evident.
"Of course."
The live broadcast hadn’t started yet, and Lucy Wood readily admitted it: "Who would like such a scumbag? If it weren’t for the program’s requirements, I wouldn’t want to bother with him at all. He’s definitely trying to know you and cling to your coattails. Don’t be fooled by him. In the next few days, I’ll keep him busy with activities so he won’t bother you."
Although it was a program setup, Ellen Young truly didn’t care about these things. Hearing this, she nodded, "Whatever you want, just keep it appropriate."
Lucy Wood nodded in agreement.
Breakfast time was, of course, always before the live broadcast; Clyde Wilson couldn’t drop by for a warm meal, having had his breakfast early at Aunt Walker’s house. When the live broadcast started and he just arrived at Lucy Wood’s doorstep, he saw Lucy Wood breaking her usual image, dressed in a plain long coat with a bamboo basket on her back, looking as simple as could be. She greeted him cheerfully, "Clyde Wilson, shall we go pick some fruits? There are lots of wild berries on the back mountain, they’re really tasty."
Clyde Wilson: "..."
Indeed, it was the beginning of a nightmare.
