Chapter 396: 0396 Clyde Wilson_1
The program team hadn’t expected him to draw the lot that paired him up with Ellen Young for the show.
Now that they thought about it, they actually felt a bit hesitant.
If it had been someone else, it wouldn’t matter much, but Ellen Young’s status was not simple now; she was someone whom a bunch of bosses watched over and protected. This male celebrity might have a good public image, but would those ancient scandals of his affect anything?
Lucy Wood was somewhat hesitant, "It’s just doing a program together, should be fine, right?"
Felicia Frost said, "Don’t worry, you know your sister’s character, and besides, Clyde Wilson should have the sense not to act out of line. He has his own image to maintain."
Although Clyde Wilson’s past scandals were somewhat reprehensible, the public saw him as a man of high emotional intelligence. He knew when to step forward and when to step back, so he was unlikely to do anything improper.
But Lucy still felt a subtle unease.
After all, this man had risen to fame by using women. What if he saw either himself or Ellen as his next target?
However, this thought was fleeting. Since everyone else seemed to think it was fine, they agreed to let Clyde Wilson and Lucy Wood do the live broadcast together.
Of course, he couldn’t possibly stay at Ellen Young’s house, so they had agreed in advance to find another farmhouse in the village for him to stay in, and he would just do the program with Lucy Wood during the day.
Ellen Young, of course, had also received information on Clyde Wilson. She really didn’t care who came; it was just this one time anyway. The previously returned Melissa Chan hadn’t bothered her either and had been quite considerate.
It was mainly something that had been agreed upon from the start of the program; no one had anticipated who would come later.
Even the movie star George Yates and Victor Brown had some dirt on them. She couldn’t simply refuse them all.
On the day nearing the scheduled time, she took Michael and Blackie onboard her private plane back to Haran Village. The program team had also returned by then, and to Ellen’s surprise, Clyde Wilson had arrived early.
When she first got back to the village, holding the little black dog, she was particularly conspicuous. In front, there was a man in a suit with a tall and straight stature, his face as handsome as jade, exuding a particularly special aura.
Ellen had looked over his profile and remembered his face.
His appearance wasn’t much different from his photos; after all, to become a popular celebrity, his looks naturally wouldn’t be bad.
And he had a mature aura.
He was already thirty-six.
He was talking to Aunt Walker in the village and when he saw Ellen, his eyes lit up slightly, but he didn’t show any particular emotion and naturally dialed Ellen’s number, "Miss Young?"
He approached her with a gentle smile and said, "Hello, I’m Clyde Wilson, the guest who will be doing the live broadcast with you this time."
He reached out his hand, and Ellen just smiled mildly, "Hello."
Because he was a celebrity with a legitimate reason to be there, Damien Frost and the others just watched from behind.
A team member chewing on a wild grass by the roadside clicked his tongue, "I get a particularly annoying vibe from this guy, even more so than from Ruffy Smith."
Another team member said, "He’s not as good-looking as Ruffy Smith, a bit plain, but okay I guess."
Damien Frost: "..."
"It’s not about being unattractive."
A team member snickered, "Showing up in the village to show off himself three days ahead of time, who would believe he has no ulterior motive? He’s the classic example of a man who made it by relying on women, and their circle is so chaotic."
"What are you unnecessarily worrying about? Even if he has an ulterior motive, if he dares to harbor any inappropriate thoughts towards Miss Young, Ruffy Smith could tear him apart alive."
Damien Frost: "..."
That was indeed true.
