Chapter 352: 0352 At the age of nine, we couldn’t possibly make this thing_1
While they were talking, they had already arrived at Ellen Young’s house.
The camera crew had to move over and reminded them not to discuss irrelevant topics.
Melissa Chan also caught sight of Ellen Young’s home and immediately exclaimed, "How beautiful!"
Now the flowers were all in full bloom, colorful and surrounding the fence wall, emitting a fragrance that enveloped the entire courtyard—and it wasn’t that gaudy kind of pretty either.
The pond inside was making the sound of flowing water as well, with a spot in the middle of the arch bridge where the water flowed over, creating a babbling brook-like sound.
You could even see fish swimming back and forth in the pond.
A little black dog inside was barking away, and a robot was strolling leisurely nearby.
The scene and atmosphere were simply too beautiful, and now that Melissa Chan was a painter, she immediately felt an itching in her hands to paint the scene before her.
However, she was still somewhat surprised when she saw the robot, "What is this thing?"
Lucy Wood was also startled, "I didn’t see it when I came yesterday."
Last night, Ellen Young hadn’t let Michael out, so Lucy Wood hadn’t seen it.
Hearing their voices, Ellen Young came out and, upon seeing how surprised Lucy and the others were to encounter Michael, said, "It’s my robot, with primary intelligence. It can only watch the house in a simple manner. It ran out of power and was recharging when you came yesterday, so I didn’t let it out."
"Smart robot?"
Lucy Wood’s eyes lit up as well.
While looking around, Melissa greeted Ellen, "Scholar Young, hello, my name is Melissa Chan."
Despite being older than Ellen Young, she appeared much more reserved and was very polite in front of her.
Ellen Young smiled and said, "Just call me Ellen, no need to be so formal."
Melissa nodded, and Lucy Wood was already preparing to pet Michael.
Michael came over obligingly, and its mouth uttered the familiar phrase, "Have you eaten?"
Lucy Wood and Melissa were both startled, and Lucy immediately replied reflexively, "Not yet."
Michael: "..."
It fell silent for a few seconds before slowly turning away.
Ellen added from behind, "It only has primary intelligence. I made it when I was nine, just after I had recently begun exploring computer science. It hardly has any intelligence, and its database doesn’t hold much information. That’s the only question it knows how to ask."
Lucy Wood: "..."
Melissa seemed momentarily lost, "At nine years old?"
Meanwhile, the barrage of comments exploded.
[It’s starting, Scholar Young’s humblebragging is on a whole different level]
[When she was making robots at nine, I was playing with mud]
[She made that at nine after just getting started????? How on earth did she master computer science?]
[I’ve been researching artificial AI for years and wouldn’t dare claim I could just whip up a robot like that]
[Given current technology, actually creating such a robot is easy, as it doesn’t really have intelligence; it’s just a machine, not even as good as the smart customer services of various big apps now. But comrades, the focus here is, she was nine, which means fifteen years ago... Back then, AI was just beginning to make an appearance internationally. Really, is this the world of immortals?]
[You guys are stuck on technology, but even if you had today’s technology at the age of nine, you couldn’t build this thing]
[As a junior in computer science, I feel deeply offended; we simply cannot make this thing, thank you]
