Chapter 298: 0298 Miss Johnson is good at calculating_1

"Miss Johnson sure knows how to play a good game!"

Suddenly, there was a sound of clapping from outside the door, a young, teasing male voice that startled both Olivia Johnson and Daisy Wood.

They turned their heads and saw a man in a black suit walking in through the door.

He was tall and well-built, with handsome features and an air of easy, disreputable charm.

This man was Clinton White.

He had figured that things wouldn’t end so easily with Miss Johnson, and the matter of the BOSS being a scientist was still an unresolved knot.

The last time he went to meet with others, someone even told him to suggest to the BOSS to let it go, after all, a harmonious family is the foundation of prosperity, and who wouldn’t acknowledge their own kin?

His good upbringing had prevented him from cursing out loud; it was useless talking about anything with those antiques, but Clinton White knew that as long as this matter with the Wood Family wasn’t thoroughly resolved, they would hold on to hope.

He had come over upon hearing the news that Olivia Johnson had fainted in anger, not expecting to hear such exciting proclamations.

"Who are you?"

Olivia Johnson was startled, and Daisy Wood was also somewhat surprised.

They didn’t recognize Clinton White.

But Olivia Johnson felt that Clinton White looked vaguely familiar.

Soon, she made the connection, her face filling with horror, "You, you..."

Clinton White had been featured in youth magazines, listed among the outstanding young entrepreneurs, extremely youthful.

He had been highly praised in the magazines, which Olivia Johnson had chanced upon.

But Clinton White was the General Manager of Wanton Group, and she had never imagined she would have the privilege of meeting the General Manager of Wanton Group.

For some reason, with such a character appearing here, Olivia Johnson’s first reaction was not pleasure, but an ominous premonition.

"Are you a friend of my second sister?"

Daisy Wood hesitantly looked at Clinton White, who arched an eyebrow, "Second sister? That doesn’t seem quite right, does it? Miss Young has absolutely no relation to the Wood Family."

His smile was affable, yet it gave off a very dangerous vibe.

Daisy paused, "I’m sorry, I meant Miss Young."

Clinton White was very pleased with Daisy Wood’s tact; not all the Woods were beyond hope, it seemed.

The daughters of the Wood Family were indeed quite good.

Olivia Johnson’s expression changed, "Ellen Young is my daughter, and Daisy’s second sister, how can you say they have no relation?"

Clinton White looked surprised, "Oh, is that so? Do you have proof? Have you done a paternity test? How can you be so certain, Miss Johnson? How can you spout such nonsense? What status does Miss Young have, and what is yours? Is this how you climb the social ladder?"

Olivia Johnson: "..."

She suddenly remembered something fatal.

They indeed had not conducted a paternity test.

For Ellen Young’s status, if they didn’t want to acknowledge her, changing the results would be all too easy.

In other words, Olivia Johnson had no proof to claim Ellen Young as her daughter.

Finding her in the first place was an accident, just some clues to go on, and to think that Lucy Wood had actually found her.

They were based on the fact that Ellen did indeed resemble Olivia Johnson.

But what did resemblance prove, when there are plenty of people who look alike in the world?

So much so that when she had first returned, they had not considered a paternity test, because they didn’t want to acknowledge her.

And now they had suffered such a loss!

It was like lifting a rock only to drop it on one’s own foot.

Thinking of this, Olivia Johnson’s complexion turned somewhat ashen.

Without evidence, how could she force Ellen Young to admit to this?

"The reason I came here, is just to amicably inform you of something."
