Cecil Jack then joked, "I can’t eat too much of this. If I get addicted and then go back to eating what the staff makes, it won’t be quite as satisfying."

Ellen responded, "I also have some pickles here. You can take a few jars back with you when you leave."

Of course, Cecil Jack wouldn’t refuse such an offer.

After dinner, Cecil Jack prepared to leave. They had come directly to the village, and Ellen only walked him to the edge of the village.

Before he left, Ellen asked him to take a few jars of pickles back with him.

That way, all the pickles were used up. Since she would need some for herself, she thought about making some more this time.

"Gone?"

Ruffy Smith suddenly appeared behind her. She turned around, saw Ruffy, and knew who he was referring to and hummed in affirmation.

Ruffy Smith said, "I saw you gave them the food you cooked, but why didn’t you give any to me?"
