Chapter 207: 0207 Happened to meet _1
On Ellen Young’s end, Geoffrey Hann shamelessly tagged along for the ride to Haran Village.
When Damien Frost saw Geoffrey Hann, he merely took an extra glance or two.
There were plenty who tried to cozy up to Miss Young.
The fact that Geoffrey Hann managed to get a ride with Ellen Young was somewhat unbelievable, and he rubbed his hands together, feeling wickedly excited inside.
Although online he was a super rich kid adored by tens of thousands, that was all thanks to the face that money could buy.
Usually, there was a whole crowd of people trying to get close to him, which he’d often ignore.
But now, facing Ellen Young, it was he who was trying to get close, and Miss Young was the one who was indifferent.
She had the means to do that, after all.
Who was Ellen Young? The almost mythical figure of Hadton, his professor.
Back then, he was just one of the many utterly unremarkable students of Professor Young, and even being a fellow Sina person didn’t get him any preferential treatment.
Now that he had run into her here, Geoffrey Hann felt as if his own face was basking in glory.
He almost wanted to take a photo and post it on Instagram story, proclaiming it to the world.
Of course, having met Ellen Young now, he just wanted to have a chat with her.
There was still a seat between them as Ellen Young sat beside him, and Geoffrey Hann swiped through his cellphone somewhat absentmindedly, searching for a topic to broach, "Professor, how did you think about joining a live broadcast show with your sister?"
Ellen Young, who was engrossed in her comic, didn’t even look up, "Occasionally, life should also experience the unexpected."
Geoffrey Hann: "..."
Is that the reason from the professor?
It seems to hold deep philosophical meaning.
Geoffrey Hann continued, "I heard the program doesn’t end until six months later; will it always be this format?"
Ellen Young: "Mm."
Geoffrey Hann: "..."
From the rearview mirror, Damien Frost snuck a glance at Geoffrey Hann, feeling secondhand embarrassment for him.
If he couldn’t find a topic, he shouldn’t forcefully seek one, especially when he’s a well-off young master; why the trouble?
Perhaps Geoffrey Hann realized he was forcibly dragging out the conversation, and he dared not venture into academic discussions—those usually evolved into a "You don’t even know this?" followed by an all-encompassing soul interrogation by Professor Young.
It wasn’t until they reached Haran Village that Ellen Young got out of the car right in front of her house, and Geoffrey Hann hopped out after her.
Confronted with the picturesque surroundings, Geoffrey Hann was somewhat stunned. With such an environment, it’s no wonder Professor Young liked living here.
Peaceful, secluded, utterly beautiful.
It’s as if it was the perfect epitome of idyllic rural life.
Ellen Young pushed open the door and entered the courtyard, where a little black dog was wagging its tail and barking joyously. Even though Ellen Young had been away, she left dog food for Blackie, and there were people in the village taking care of it, so Blackie was alright.
When Geoffrey Hann wanted to follow her in, a voice suddenly came from behind him, "Geoffrey?"
The voice was low and magnetic but carried a layer of coolness.
There was a familiar chill like a breeze brushing the neck.
Geoffrey Hann turned his head and was greeted by the enchanting face of Ruffy Smith.
He squinted his eyes slightly, the curve of his lips revealing a cold smile, "How come you came down with Ellen Young in the same car? Didn’t you say you were coming alone and asked me to pick you up?"
At the sight of Ruffy Smith, Geoffrey Hann shrank his neck and gave a sheepish laugh, "Brother Ruffy."
Ruffy Smith, the undisputed boss of their team, was domineering and quirky, someone the rich kids of Imperial City feared like the plague.
Naturally, Geoffrey Hann was scared of him too, but their relationship was unlike the others—he and Ruffy Smith got along exceptionally well.
All he did was stretch his smile and say, "I happened to bump into Professor Young on the road."
