Chapter 184: You can’t drink anymore_1
Wanton’s development was a change Ellen Young brought to this country.
Ruffy Smith chuckled softly.
So he was a common man, how could a common man understand the thoughts of a genius.
But this was Ellen Young, the real Ellen Young.
While the hairy crabs were steaming, Ellen Young stir-fried a few side dishes, the food she made was always unbelievably delicious, just the aroma was enough to make one’s mouth water uncontrollably.
Blackie had been peering out the doorway early on, knowing it was going to have a feast today and began to howl, but it didn’t dare to come close while glancing at Ruffy Smith.
Later, when Ruffy Smith came out with a plate, it followed by his legs, swaying. Ruffy Smith gave it a glance and sneered, "What a gluttonous dog."
Once the table was full of dishes Ellen Young had finished preparing, Ruffy Smith took a rare picture with his cellphone.
Ellen Young looked at him curiously, "What are you taking pictures for?"
It was mainly because Ruffy Smith never did such things.
Ruffy Smith, "Still, I should share an Instagram story to celebrate."
Ellen Young, "..."
Ruffy Smith’s Instagram story was naturally not simple; he rarely posted any pretentious messages, and probably only posted birthday wishes for Taylor Smith once a year.
Ruffy Smith: [Photo] The meal prepared by Ellen Young.
No more than a few minutes after the message was sent, notifications started to flood in incessantly.
Clinton White: [Damn it, why, why?!]
XX: [Ah ah ah ah ah, Boss Smith, are you having a meal with Professor Young?]
Taylor Smith: [Hehe]
Envy from a whole bunch of people went without saying, Clinton White almost jumped in rage upon seeing this story.
Indeed, one has no shame when being so shameless, being close to the water does have its advantages.
Fuck, living close does have this benefit, even being able to shamelessly show up for meals.
Ellen Young didn’t see the Instagram story because she hadn’t added Ruffy Smith, and she didn’t express any opinion on this action.
During the meal, Ruffy Smith opened that bottle of champagne, which was originally meant for party celebrations, but here, it seemed to create a similar ambiance. He asked Ellen Young, "Do you want some champagne?"
Ellen Young gazed for three seconds, then lowered her eyes, "Yes."
She had never tried it before and wanted to try something new.
Because alcohol could numb the brain and affect thoughts, she never touched it.
But now she wasn’t working, so she might as well try some things she’d never encountered before.
A smile played on the corners of Ruffy Smith’s mouth, and as he was about to pour the champagne, he still said, "You’ve never had it before, have you? You might get drunk; should I pour just a little?"
Ellen Young nodded, and Ruffy Smith poured her just a very small cup.
This champagne was specially brought back from abroad, it had a rich taste, quite different from ordinary champagne, mainly suitable for those who had never drunk before.
The taste was really good.
That cup was perhaps only one-fifth of the size of Ruffy Smith’s glass, and with just that much, Ellen Young still took just a small sip. Within seconds, Ruffy Smith watched a blush rise on Ellen Young’s face.
Her cheeks, already delicate and pale, were now flushed making her appear even more delicate than a rose, her eyes brightened but with a hint of bewilderment.
Ruffy Smith felt a stir in his heart and couldn’t help but chuckle, "Don’t tell me you’re feeling it after just that little bit?"
Five seconds later, Ellen Young answered him, "I’m not."
She could still eat normally, still managed to eat the hairy crab, and ended up drinking the rest of the champagne.
Her eyes sparkled, and compared to usual, she surprisingly exhibited a burst of vivacity, "It tastes quite good; pour me some more."
While speaking, she extended her delicate tongue and licked the remaining drops of alcohol from her lips.
Ruffy Smith, watching her, felt a sudden tightness in his throat, and his hand holding the glass turned stiff.
His voice was very deep, "You can’t drink anymore, you’re not yourself, Ellen Young."
