Chapter 294: Chapter 294 Where Does Nova Live_1

The car stopped at the base of the apartment building where Wang Ye and Angelina lived.

Wang Ye got out of the car, waving his hand to the two cars behind him, signaling them to go off duty directly.

Xie Liaosha came down from the car behind and helped to carry Nova’s large suitcase upstairs.

Opening the door, Nova followed Angelina into the living room, looking around curiously.

"The apartment is nice, but it doesn’t seem to match my brother-in-law’s status as a billionaire," she joked to Angelina.

Angelina gave her a look and countered, "Where do you think a billionaire should live then?"

"Well..., they should live in a big mansion or even a grand castle, with hundreds of servants and a British butler in tails. They should always be ready to ask you, ’Can I help you, Sir?’ Ha ha ha..." Nova burst into laughter as she imagined the scenario.

Guess even she found the idea amusing...

Wang Ye just happened to walk in, catching their conversation.

Chiming in with laughter he said, "You know, if I ever find a suitable mansion, I might really buy one. Not for anything else, I just like the idea of a butler asking me in his authentic London accent, ’Can I help you, Sir?’"

The idea of buying a mansion wasn’t a joke, actually.

The part about the British butler, however, was...

But now, Wang Ye doesn’t really have the time and energy to fuss over big mansions; he’s just getting started with his business, so it’s not quite time for him to start enjoying the finer things in life.

...

Without a doubt, Nova’s arrival added much laughter and joy to the relatively peaceful life of Wang Ye and Angelina.

Both Wang Ye and Angelina are rather calm and quiet, usually keeping the peace at home.

But Nova is a lively girl, constantly exuding a radiant smile that never fails to lift everyone’s spirits.

Moreover, she loves to talk, especially when she’s with people she knows well...

Wang Ye initially planned to take the sisters to the Turandot Restaurant for Nova’s welcome dinner.

Angelina, however, vetoed the idea, insisting that she cook for her sister so that Nova could taste the improvement in her cooking skills!

When they first met, Angelina wasn’t much of a cook, only knowing how to grill steak and make simple dishes like mashed potatoes.

But after confirming her relationship with Wang Ye, her cooking skills have advanced by leaps and bounds!

Whenever she has free time apart from her work, she would either follow TV cooking shows or lookup recipes and cooking tips online.

Though she is not yet on par with professional chefs like Song Xiaogang, she has already mastered the basics of home-cooked meals.

Plus, she’s well-versed in both Chinese and Russian cuisines...

...

Of course, Nova ended up staying the night.

Clearly, she moved into the master bedroom with her sister Angelina, leaving Wang Ye to sleep in the smaller room on his own.

The matter of where Nova should stay after the school starts in a few days was seriously discussed during dinner.

Angelina suggested that Nova should stay in the dormitory, which was not far from their apartment and had decent conditions, it wouldn’t be too hard for her.

However, Wang Ye said she could stay with them or they could rent another apartment for her in the same building, because no matter how decent the dormitory was, it wouldn’t compare to the apartment.

The dormitory of Friendship University barely meets the standards, Moscow University dormitory was a few notches above that.

Since the budget was not an issue, why not provide Nova with better living conditions?

Nova was somewhat torn; in her heart, she wanted to move to their place.

It’s always better to stay close to the ones with resources. Since her brother-in-law had risen to power, it would be foolish not to take advantage by staying close to him!

Although she called him "brother-in-law", she understood that there was a distance between them, they weren’t that close.

So, if she could live with her brother-in-law...

Ah, don’t jump to conclusions, she meant live in the same house, not the same bedroom.

If she was with him all the time, their relationship would naturally develop!

So by that logic, living here would be much better for her.

But she did not dare to voice this opinion, fearing that it might lead to misunderstandings between Wang Ye and her sister...

......

Neither Wang Ye nor Angelina could talk the other down when Angelina suddenly had an idea.

Her eyes lit up as she said, "I know how to solve this! Since you think the regular dorms have poor conditions and wouldn’t be suitable for Nova, there’s a simple solution. Did you forget? Our university has a high-rise dormitory. I reckon that will be good enough. These are all single rooms, located in a new elevator apartment building. Let Nova stay there."

Wang Ye nodded in agreement, he was familiar with the high-rise dormitory that Angelina mentioned.

Angelina used to live there when she was teaching at the university.

That dormitory is the top-notch and most expensive accommodation within the university’s dorm area!

A standard dormitory is shared by three people in a large area without a private bathroom. Each floor provides a communal large bathroom and a communal kitchen.

If one wished to take a bath, one had to go to the bathhouse on the lower floor, which was quite simple and basic.

There were only two rows of hot water pipes without showerheads...

Of course, this was the men’s bathroom Wang Ye was referring to.

He didn’t know what the female’s bathroom looked like because he had never been in there.

The most ridiculous thing was that for some unknown reason, the hot water in the university dormitory area was full of impurities!

If you fill a cup with hot water to take a closer look, it appears like "milk diluted with water", completely "milky white"...

Although the standard dormitory is quite affordable, the living conditions are less than comfortable, especially when compared to that of Moscow University.

But the condition of the high-rise elevator dormitory is much better.

It’s similar to that of Moscow University. In a suite, there are two small bedrooms hosting two people, equipped with a bathroom where you can take a shower.

Except for cooking, which still has to be done in the large common kitchen on each floor, basically, all other needs can be met in the room.

The conditions are incomparably better than those of the standard dormitory.

Of course, the fee is much higher than the standard dormitory.

The high-rise dormitory costs 150 U.S. dollars a month!

For ordinary poor students, or for Wang Ye when he first arrived in Moscow, this fee was definitely beyond his means.

Well, Nova wouldn’t be able to afford it either.

But it’s alright, her sister will cover the fee for her. Just over a hundred dollars, it’s not a big deal for either Wang Ye or Angelina.

Finally, they agreed to book Nova a room in the high-rise dormitory.

She’s still a student after all, and should have some semblance of student life...
