Chapter 276: Chapter 276: Start Working Immediately_1

August 5th, morning.

Small city on the western edge of the New Siberia Federal District.

The Yukos Group staff dispatched a few days earlier, set out for the oil field headquarters after breakfast.

Since the city was small, they were staying at a slightly upscale hotel in the city center. A drive to the oil field headquarters on the outskirts of the city took barely ten minutes.

Upon arriving at the hotel headquarters, a nervous staff member asked, "Should we go in now? Or... should we wait for the Special Assistant to join us before we go in?"

He was still shaken from their last encounter.

The opposition’s gang was fierce and brutal. They had been kicked out, having never witnessed such a spectacle... they were just white-collar workers from Moscow after all.

At his suggestion, the rest of the staff quickly agreed. After all, they were all there to earn money, no need to risk their lives.

Anyway, the big shot had come from the headquarters, so he can negotiate with them. Their role would then be to tag along.

They were oblivious to the situation, but the leader was clearly in touch with Wang Ye.

He merely smiled, responding confidently, "No! We will go in and wait. The Special Assistant will arrive soon. There’s no need to worry because we are not the main actors today, they won’t make things difficult for us."

Since the leader had spoken, the rest of the staff had no room to argue.

So, they braved themselves, exited the cars and entered the headquarters building of the oil field.

The so-called headquarters was in reality an old red brick office building, a mere six stories high, without an elevator.

But it did cover a large area with ample space inside.

Clearly, they had notified the oil field personnel of their presence but were ignored.

Now, upon reaching the ground floor, no one came to greet them, leaving them no choice but to self-navigate to the second-floor conference room.

Upon entering, they found that Yekolyan and his gang were already seated, drinking black tea while they waited.

Seeing the Yukos workers enter, Yekolyan glanced at them with a smirk, "Why so early? Where’s your President’s assistant, hasn’t he arrived yet? Did he get scared and head back to Moscow, haha..."

The conference room erupted into laughter.

Particularly the security head, who after laughing, smacked a gun on the table, jeering, "President’s assistant, who does he think he is, making a grand entrance? I fear my pal here is not very discerning, what if he hurts him? That would be quite the spectacle."

The Yukos workers froze at the sight of this, afraid that the brute might shoot them. Where would they go to seek justice?

Yekolyan feigned concern, "Fine, So put your gun away. We are reasonable people and only resort to force when absolutely necessary. Of course, if they act unreasonable, we’ll show no mercy!"

As they engaged in boisterous talks in the conference room, a convoy had arrived outside the oil field headquarters....

......

"Boss, we are almost there. I saw the name of the oil field written on a sign at the gate," Anton, seated in the passenger seat, turned around to inform Wang Ye, who was resting in the back seat.

After a long journey, Wang Ye was feeling exhausted.

Even though they hadn’t traveled overnight, instead resting at hotels, sitting in a car for over two days, covering more than two thousand kilometers, was exhausting.

He thought, had he known the journey would be so tiring, he would have suggested everyone take a plane. That would have only taken three to four hours.

But that would have been problematic because it wasn’t their private plane. They couldn’t take all their "real gear" onboard a commercial flight.

So, the long journey by convoy was not just about making an appearance but also a necessary compromise.

"Go straight ahead, send a few men to secure the guardhouse at the entrance," Wang Ye ordered without opening his eyes.

The convoy stopped at the entrance of the complex. The two security guards at the gate peeked out curiously.

Clearly, they were startled by the convoy, unsure of what was happening. They wanted to ask but couldn’t gather the courage.

Anton grabbed the walkie-talkie, "First squad, go take control of the guardhouse, open the gate!"

The doors of two Cruisers opened and several rugged men jumped out with their AK74s and headed towards the gate.

The two oil field security guards were left dumbfounded at the sight of the men, trembling, they asked, "What... what are you doing?"

The squad leader of the first squad raised his AK74 single-handedly, the dark muzzle aiming at the two security guards, "Suga! Squat down!"

The two security guards shuddered and immediately squatted down with their hands over their heads.

The squad leader gestured, and two large men behind him took control of the guards and moved them to the side.

The third squad of armed men then took control of the gate.

The gates were opened, and the convoy drove in.

The convoy stopped at the office building. With a series of door opening and closing sounds, groups of intimidating men jumped out of the vehicles.

Standing on the steps, Anton calmly commanded, "Second squad, secure the first floor. Third squad, secure the second floor... Seventh squad, secure the sixth floor! Don’t let anyone leave or enter the offices until further command."

Teams of people started flooding the office building.

"Eighth squad stays with the convoy. Ninth squad, come with me and the boss to the conference room!" Anton ordered again.

Then, with Wang Ye leading the way and Anton along with his team following, they headed for the large conference room on the second floor.

......

In the large conference room, Yekolyan was in high spirits, joking with his confidants, when they heard a spell of chaotic footsteps from outside interspersed with startled cries.

He furrowed his brow, annoyed, "What’s going on outside, Argay, go check."

Argay was the security head. At Yekolyan’s command, he immediately stood up, "Alright, I’ll go check it out. I suspect those guys I brought in are up to no good and harassing the girls."

They were well-prepared to deal with today’s situation.

Argay had even recruited some ruffians from the street and had them "hidden" in a small conference room on the second floor.

If things turned sour, at Argay’s command, the gang of ruffians would barge in and start a fight.

They had played this card previously and it worked like a charm every time!
