Chapter 145: Chapter 145 Four Bosses Bring a Newbie_1

The convoy stopped at the entrance of the mansion, where several sturdy men, similar in build to Anton and his crew, were standing with Uzis in their arms, motioning for the convoy to stop.

A man got out of the first Mercedes, having a brief discussion with the guards.

Then, the guard at the gate spoke a few words into his walkie-talkie, stepped aside, and opened the gate.

The convoy continued to move slowly forward.

Through the mansion’s iron gate, the view suddenly opened up.

The distance to the mansion’s main building from the gate is about a kilometer.

A straight road leads from the gate to the main building, with flat lawns on both sides, dotted with various flowers, plants, and trees in the distance.

Though it was getting dark, Wang Ye could not see clearly.

However, one thing was certain; the area covered by this mansion was truly astounding...

The main house is an imposing Russian traditional building, not very high, about four or five stories, brightly lit.

In front of it, there is a fountain square where the convoy parked.

Presumably having received notification from the gate, the door of the main house opens, and a few people come out.

At the same time, Khodorkovsky’s attendants helped both of them out of the car. Khodorkovsky and Wang Ye stepped down.

Standing side by side, Khodorkovsky turned to look at the newcomers and said to Wang Ye:

"Misha, this is the person I’m introducing you to tonight, a favored person near the decorum, A Bu!"

Wang Ye was slightly shocked in his heart, really a big shot!

Moreover, this man was smart....

After the breakdown of the former Soviet Union, Russa saw numerous oligarch tycoons emerge within a short span of more than a decade!

However, there weren’t many who could indeed be called "successful".

The most successful, glamorous, and well-known worldwide, would be none other than A Bu!

...

A Bu walked over with big strides, revealing a brilliant smile on his face.

He simultaneously opened his arms and hugged Khodorkovsky passionately.

After exchanging a few low greetings, Khordorkovsky turned and introduced, "This young man is my nephew, Misha."

He beckoned Wang Ye and said, "Misha, come and meet your Uncle A Bu."

Wang Ye obediently walked forward, calling out "Uncle".....

Being frank, being able to call A Bu ’Uncle’ might be something many people can’t achieve, and there is no injustice in it.

A Bu, with his clean white face and short sideburns, and slightly curly hair, looked very amiable with an incessant smile.

He sized up Wang Ye and didn’t question why Khodorkovsky’s nephew looked Asian...

He stretched out his hand to pat Wang Ye’s shoulder hard, praising, "What a great young man! Very handsome, haha."

Wang Ye could only give an awkward smile....

......

A Bu turned to Khodorkovsky and said: "Everyone is here. Let’s go in."

Khodorkovsky nodded, and the two of them walked side by side in front, with Wang Ye a step behind, entering the hall together.

As for the other people, like assistants and bodyguards, they aren’t privileged to enter the main hall and are received in the side hall.

As soon as he stepped through the door, Wang Ye felt dazzled by the light...

It was a giant living room, designed in the most luxurious European court style.

The room was more than ten meters high.

An ornate grand crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling.

Wool carpets, gold-plated furniture, sculptures, oil paintings...

Well, this was a sight for Wang Ye, who had not seen much of the world, it was a little dazzling.

There were two middle-aged men with potbellies sitting on the large sofa, talking quietly.

When they saw A Bu and Khodorkovsky come in, they both stood up.

Khodorkovsky stopped and glanced at them. Out of the corner of his eye, Wang Ye saw a hint of displeasure on Khodorkovsky’s face.

A Bu chuckled and said, "I don’t need to introduce them, do I? You know both of them."

He was speaking to Khodorkovsky.

One of the men came forward, opening his arms and laughing at Khodorkovsky, "Haha, my old friend, it’s been a long time."

Khodorkovsky’s expression softened, and he hugged that man, saying, "Director Gavriil, you’re here too. A Bu didn’t tell me in advance."

"Haha, I’m just helping out as someone asked. I heard there was some friction between you and Maylov and came as a mediator. We’re all friends. Let’s clear up any dispute face to face, there’s no need for unnecessary strife." Gavriil laughed.

Wang Ye stood aside, wondering who this "Gavriil" was.

He did, however, know who "Maylov" was, that was the boss of the ACT Group, also the "rival" that Khodorkovsky recently wanted to deal with.

Only someone with significant status and experience could mediate a battle between giants like Khodorkovsky and Maylov.

So, this Gavriil must be a big shot...

While he was thinking, he heard A Bu say, "Director Gavriil is a busy man, he has so many public affairs to handle in the Kremlin, and is an indispensable aide to the President. Yet, he put down his work to help mediate your dispute. Everyone is here at my place today. You and Maylov can lay everything out on the table. If anyone has any grievances or demands, speak up."

Wang Ye immediately understood. No wonder Gavriil was such a big shot. He was a key person near "The Emperor"!

Khodorkovsky had just called him "Director." He must be the director of the Kremlin office, a critical position indeed.

......

Despite the presence of Gavriil and A Bu, Khodorkovsky didn’t afford Maylov a friendly expression, he didn’t even greet him.

This was understandable since Maylov had sent gunmen assassins to kill him!

Although they didn’t succeed, this wasn’t something one could easily get over.

Everyone moved over to the sofas and seated themselves.

Looking around, Wang Ye noted that there were five people here, including himself.

Three tycoons, one high-ranking official, and himself, a nobody....

There was no need to speak in such a situation. Wang Ye quietly sat and listened to the "confrontation" between these giants.

Maylov directly addressed the issue at hand.

He looked at Khodorkovsky with a sincere face and said, "I was wrong about this matter. However, please believe me, I did not arrange for the incident. It was an autonomous action by someone under me. After knowing it, I have severely punished him."

Khodorkovsky just gave a cold huff and didn’t say anything.

Joking aside, if not for Wang Ye’s quick reaction in pushing him away, he would have lost his life!

There was no way he would forgive his opponent easily.

Moreover, if Maylov said that he didn’t arrange for it, did it mean that he indeed didn’t arrange it?

This kind of thing can’t be verified anyhow, it is just a matter of talking.

At this point, Gavriil spoke, "However you look at it, Maylov has indeed made a mistake this time, broke the rules, and indeed deserves some punishment!"
