Chapter 1200: Chapter 1000: When Conditions are Right, Success Will Follow Naturally

In the car, Donia and Wang Ye sat side by side in the back, but she seemed a bit restrained, feeling like there was nowhere to put her hands and feet and not daring to glance at Wang Ye.

This was the first time they were alone together since she learned of Wang Ye’s identity, so it was no wonder she felt this way.

After all, she had never imagined that one day she would be sharing a car with a "Big Shot" like Chairman Mikhail, sitting side by side with him...

So, she really didn’t know what to say.

Moreover, the Mikhail she initially met, although the same person, felt completely different now that his identity had changed.

Wang Ye saw Donia’s discomfort, smiled slightly, and gently asked, "I just let you come to guide me today right after your performance ended yesterday. Is it too much trouble for you?"

Donia quickly shook her head and said, "No, not at all; actually... I had been wanting to visit Lake Baikal as well, but I’m usually too busy and don’t have much time. It just so happens that I can accompany you this time—it’s sort of like taking a two-day break."

Wang Ye paused, then added, "I’m sorry I didn’t tell you my real identity when we first met. I feel it’s better to make friends as an ordinary person. So, in private, you don’t need to treat me like some chairman or a big shot from Moscow. I’m still the same Misha you first met, a junior employee who just graduated and started working. In fact, I did just graduate from university this year, haha..."

Even though he said this, how could Donia really see him as just an ordinary person?

However, with Wang Ye saying this, she eventually relaxed, a smile appeared on her face, and she felt much more at ease.

"Are we really going to camp on Lake Baikal? It gets very cold at night. I remember there’s a Tourist Town by the lake with a few small hotels where we could stay overnight," Donia curiously asked.

Clearly, she had never camped on Lake Baikal in the winter and didn’t know what kind of experience it would be.

Wang Ye laughed and said, "I heard from Vasily that it should be fine; he had people set things up, so it should work out. We’ll see when we get there; if the conditions are not suitable, we can just stay in the town at night."

He really didn’t know what the conditions would be like; it was just a casual mention at the time. But since Vasily had assured him it would be fine, it probably would be.

But Wang Ye wasn’t about to freeze himself half to death for the sake of a so-called beautiful view. If camping conditions were too harsh and involved suffering from the cold, he definitely wouldn’t really stay on the ice overnight.

If he ended up getting sick from the cold, it wouldn’t be worth it.

"Who is Vasily?" Donia curiously asked.

Wang Ye casually answered, "He’s the Governor here."

Donia inwardly clicked her tongue; that was the Governor, a figure who usually had the final say in the state. Yet, in front of Mikhail, he was scurrying about like a "pawn."

Just because Mikhail mentioned wanting to rest at Lake Baikal for two days, Vasily hurried to make arrangements. In comparison, having her university’s leaders carry her luggage to meet Mikhail didn’t seem like much...

......

After a journey of over an hour, at around four in the afternoon, the motorcade finally arrived near Lake Baikal.

Following the guidance of the personnel dispatched by Vasily, the convoy left the main road, passed through a narrow lane and a large expanse of forest, and suddenly, a vast white, flat expanse of ice appeared before them.

There were no other tourists around, but several motorhomes were already parked on the ice, and a large tent had been set up.

Clearly, these were the preparations made in advance by Vasily’s team.

Seeing those motorhomes, Wang Ye knew that camping tonight would not be an issue.

He had been wondering how to manage heating and sanitary issues in such a remote, cold place at night.

Obviously, these concerns vanished upon seeing the motorhomes.

Because a motorhome is essentially a mobile Room, just by looking at their size, you could tell that the space inside was definitely large and the facilities complete.

After the vehicles stopped, Wang Ye and Donia got out, stretched, and looked around.

Unfortunately, due to heavy snowfall in recent days, the ice was covered with thick snow, obscuring the reputedly crystal-clear ice, and everything around was shrouded in white, making it feel very empty.

Under the guidance of the personnel, Wang Ye and Donia approached the large tent.

From the outside, the tent was hemispherical, resembling a massive bowl upside down on the ice.

Upon entering, a wave of warm air hit them, and the ground was even covered with a thick, soft carpet.

The tent’s interior was indeed spacious and divided into two sections; the half near the entrance was the living room, equipped with a dining table, barbecue grill, and other amenities. A curtain separated the other half, which was not visible for the moment.

However, the personnel explained that the separated part was the bedroom.

"Why is it so warm in here? It feels like there’s heating," Donia curiously asked.

The staff member smiled pleasantly and said, "Sure enough, there’s heating. We have a high-powered Diesel Generator outside; the tent is equipped with electric heaters, so there’s no need to worry about the cold at night. Additionally, the tent is well insulated from sound, so the noise from the generator won’t be bothersome."
