Chapter 54: Chapter 53:Helping the don

Third pov

"What is it baby" Raffaele questions, already dropping what is in his hands and starting to walk towards the door.

Eros and Alexander chuckle at Raffaele’s reaction towards Bella jiust calling him.

The man who is being tortured lets out a sigh of relief at tha fact that Raffaele has finally let go of him.

"Take care of him" Raffaele says and at that moment the man widens his eyes at that while Eros throws back his head in laughter, seeing his reaction Alexander starts chuckling at Eros’s reaction.

"Now let’s dance" With that Eros picks up the blow touch which has long been forgotten by the man who is now in his car and speedily driving towards the hospital.

Raffaele speedily drives the car towards the hospital, his face worrief as he cannot help but wonder why his baby is calling him that she needs something.

Finally getting to the hospital, he doesn’t beother parking the car properly before driving into the hospital to meet her.

He bursts the door open and the sight that meets his eyes has him standing still for sometime.

"Baby" Raffaele calls out and Bella who is busy sitting on the hospital bed turns to look at him with a smile stretched on her lips.

"You are here" Bella says with a smile and Raffaele looks at her confused before slowly walking into the room.

"Are you ok" Raffaele asks walking towards her and taking her hand in his, scared not to hurt her.

"You ended the call before I could say my reason for calling" Bella says with a pout not knowing the man is internally thanking the lord that she is ok.

Wgen she had called him and was stuttering, he thought that something had happened to her and that is why he rushed to her and is relieved she is laughing with people sorrounding her that they are very familiar with.

"What is it?" Raffaele asks again and she smiles with the same pout on her face.

"I wanted ice cream but they aren’t giving me" She says pointing to Emiliano who has his hands raised in surrender.

"Why?" Raffaele questions and Bella points at the doctor who is busy checking her vitals.

Raffaele stares at the doctor with a very harsh glare on his face and the doctor immediately starts sweating in fear with his hand trembling in fear.

The doctor cannot say anything and just clears his throat while rubbing his hand against his coat.

"Why did you say my baby can’t have what she wants" Raffaele questions with a rough voice, seeing as the doctor is scared Bella decides to take matters into her own hands and places her hand on his to make him turn and face her.

"I want you to get me my ice cream" She says wanting Raffaele to go outside so the doctor can finally breathe.

Raffaele stares at her and after she insists he is the one she wants to go get the ice cream he gets up but not before placing a kiss on her forehead.

Bella sighs and offers the doctor a small smile which the doctor returns and continues his job.

"Who knew love could tame beast" Emiliano jokingly says and the others in the room laugh at his words.

"He is serious tho, the big don going out to buy ice cream when he has thousands of guards at his disposal is really a sight and an interesting one at that" Nathan finishes with a smirk.

They keep Bella company till one by one they all had to leave after she had complained of feeling a little bit sleepy but not before leaving a guard who they briefed and warned to take good care of her.

Bella starts feeling light headed and concludes its the effects of the drugs that wants to make her sleep so she just lays down on the bed and after sometime starts drifting off to sleep.

The guard who was left to look after her, turns to see that she is asleep and hesitantly steps out of the room to go use the toilet.

He is hesitant tho and starts regretting why he is the one who was left in charge of the don’s woman as he knows if something is to go wrong then he is done for.

Stepping out of the room, he makes sure to look at the corridors and the reminder that guards are everywhere quickly makes him rush to the toilet.

In the room where Bella is, she is deeply asleep and unaware of the shadow that has just emerged.

The person takes slow steps towards where she is laying on the bed and attempts to inject something into the drip only for a bang to stop him.

The bullet comes flying straight into his leg and a scream tears past his lips which startles Bella into waking up.

The man clutches his leg, screaming out in pain while Raffaele levels him a dark glare before walking into the room fully.

Raising the guy by the dark hoddie he slams him into the wall with a force that has the man wincing and crying out.

Bella sits up slowly while trying to comprehend all that is happening, her gaze trailing from the blood and injection on the floor and back to the man who is pinned by a livid Raffaele.

"How fucking dare you" Just then different guards rush into the room and Raffaele glares at them.

"The basement" That is all he needs to say as the guards haul the man and step out with him.

Just then Emiliano and Nathan enter the room with smiles on their faces but it is wiped away when they not only see blood but see a fuming Raffaele.

"Raf-fuck" Emiliano doesnt get to finish his sentence as a punch lands on his face from his livid brother.

"How fucking dare you leave her here alone without protection" Raffaele questions and glares at his best friend.

"There was a guard here" Nathan states pushing Emilaino behind him who has a hand on his bursted lips

"Liano" Bella calls out with tears in her eyes.

Raffaele rushes towards her and pulls her towards his chest in a tight embrace and she has no choice but to snuggle deeper into his scent.

"Send him in" Raffaele says while trying to control his trembling body.

He could already feel himself loosing control of his own emotions as the anger threatens to consume him whole.

Angel and Emilia enter and the men who still have no idea what completely happened just shrug their shoulders. The thought and the fact that he almost possibly lost the woman he loves keeps flashing in his head and with his fists closed tightly by his side he tries hard to control himself from exploding.

The strong urge to punch something becomes overwhelming and an opportunity presents it self when the suppose guard steps in.

"This is the guard" And the man gulps.

Bella’s pov

I panick instantly as I stare at the don, not knowing what to do or how to help him when that is what I really want to do.

Coming back to the hospital and seeingbthe guards slacking he had lost it and that led to an unconcious guard and the other almost beaten to the point of no recognision.

It took me getting out of bed, my drip long forgotten and a bleeding hand from me to pull the man away from his guards.

Nathan had made sure the others are outside and now its just the two of us in the hospital room as I try my hardest to ’console’ the grown man who does not look ready to stop being angry anytime soon.

"I ca-can’t loose you" Hearing the way his voice breaks, breaks my heart and another feeling surges.

Such a powerful man is here on his knees for me and ready to do anything to keep me safe while I have relatively done nothing to help him.

"You won’t" I don’t even know why I said that to him but I do and I know it’s not just to him but also to myself.

My hands rake through his hair as I try my hardest to hold his weight along with mine.

The man is clutching onto me tightly and I just let him hold me despite the little pain, knowing it’s better he holds me than turns someone’s son to a punching bag who I know he is going to destroy.

I already start feeling slight pity for the man he was handling earlier.

The sobs die down and I pull away slightly to look at his face while caressing his cheeks.

This beast of a man is bipolar and needs to be handled with care.

He needs help, a very huge one as this is not normal.

"I-Ican’t live without you baby" He says and I gulp down my saliva.
