Chapter 121: Chapter 121: The Auditorium Killer

In the blink of an eye, several hours had passed, yet the number of people in the auditorium hadn’t decreased, rather, it had increased.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the final two acts of tonight’s school anniversary celebration are about to begin. One is a classical dance brought to us by our own Tianhai University beauty, Ms. Shen Yuting, and the other is an original song performed by our star guest for the evening, the famous pop star, Ms. Zhou Xinyi. Please look forward to it," said the host.

With the host’s announcement over, the atmosphere in the hall instantly warmed up. These last two guests were undoubtedly the favorites of all the students present: one was the deservedly top university belle of Tianhai University, and the other was China’s most sought-after fair maiden pop star, Zhou Xinyi.

The first to take the stage was Tianhai University’s number one beauty, Shen Yuting. As the soothing strains of classical music began to play, the lights all focused on the stage. Dressed in a long white gown, with her hair flowing down her back, Shen Yuting slowly made her entrance, stunning everyone present.

Her natural beauty, untouched by make-up, gave her skin an exquisite creamy complexion, fair as snow. Her facial features were extraordinarily delicate with a tender glow. Most captivating were her eyes, dark as gemstones, beckoning with each glance, forever memorable.

Shen Yuting’s figure was impeccable, nearing perfection.

Her waist was slim, just enough to encircle with a hand, her slender figure standing tall. As she swayed and twisted her dainty waist, clad in a white gown, she truly was a sight to behold, like a fairy descended to earth.

Shen Yuting began to dance gracefully, unlike Long Qianqian’s sultry moves. Shen Yuting performed a beautiful classical dance.

Her elegant movements, coupled with her ethereal beauty and physique, were truly spectacular, and the entire hall fell into a respectful silence, quietly appreciating the graceful dance.

Even Xiao Yifeng found himself captivated. The dance was indeed breathtaking, a true beauty beyond compare, especially as she turned and smiled at the end of her performance, that one glance was enough to "make all other smiles appear lackluster."

It wasn’t until Shen Yuting left the stage that the audience recovered, erupting into enthusiastic applause, including the school leaders and distinguished guests from society, who couldn’t help but join in.

"Such a beautiful woman, I have never seen one like her before," said Shijing Ichiro, sitting in his seat, his eyes filled with infatuation as he watched Shen Yuting, then murmured, "If I could have my way with a woman like that, I would die without regrets."

Hearing Shijing Ichiro’s words, Yang Hao’s expression changed slightly and said, "Young Master Shijing, I think you should give up that idea."

"Why?" Shijing Ichiro’s expression darkened.

"Shen Yuting is not like the others. Her father is the Mayor of Tianhai City, and her grandfather is even a retired senior leader of China, someone of high standing who you definitely shouldn’t provoke lightly."

"Otherwise, even the Ishii Clan could face serious trouble when things escalate. Most importantly, I heard that Shen Yuting is already betrothed to a young member from a major Clan in Yanjing, so I’d advise you, Young Master Shijing, not to entertain such thoughts," Yang Hao said indifferently.

Shijing Ichiro snorted coldly, his expression one of reluctant understanding, but he knew the implication of Yang Hao’s words. With Shen Yuting’s background, it would indeed bring significant trouble should he take any unwise action.

"Even if that woman is unattainable, I’ve got to get my hands on those two girls; I can’t let this trip be for nothing."

Shijing Ichiro hummed, apparently setting his sights on Ye Yashi and Long Qianqian. This time, Yang Hao didn’t stop him but instead, a sly smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"Next up, please welcome the heavyweight guest of our school celebration evening, our fair maiden pop star, Ms. Zhou Xinyi," announced the host.

As the host’s words filled the air, the multitude of fans in the auditorium shouted and screamed. Zhou Xinyi walked onto the stage in a blue gown, a smile on her lips, and said:

"I am Zhou Xinyi, and I am honored to be here tonight at this venerable school to celebrate such a day with all of you. I also have some good news to share: in two days, I will be holding my first solo concert in Tianhai, and I hope everyone will come and support me."

Immediately, the entire venue erupted with excited voices, all eagerly anticipating the concert in two days.

With the microphone in hand, Zhou Xinyi softly began to sing her original compositions. Her voice was melodious and touching, with high and low notes like the sound of spring water tinkling and a hundred orioles singing, truly captivating and intoxicating to listen to.

However, Xiao Yifeng slightly furrowed his brows as a glint of blue light flashed across his eyes, scanning the ceiling above.

Atop one of the beams spanning the ceiling of the auditorium, a figure in black had appeared at some point, holding a crossbow aimed directly at Zhou Xinyi, who was singing on stage. A cruel smile appeared on the figure’s lips as they prepared to pull the crossbow’s trigger.

"Assassin, be careful!"

Xiao Yifeng suddenly stood up and shouted loudly, shocking the entire audience. Zhou Xinyi herself froze, and then a piercing sound of an arrow rang out abruptly. A black arrow shot straight towards Zhou Xinyi, and everyone in the place was stunned. Zhou Xinyi’s face turned pale, finding herself unable to dodge.

Whoosh!

At that moment, a button suddenly shot through the air, striking the arrow that was about to enter Zhou Xinyi’s brain and deflecting it.

Xiao Yifeng’s figure swiftly charged forward, grabbing Zhou Xinyi and darting to the side.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

Several more arrows shot out, all hitting the stage but missing Zhou Xinyi. By this time, Zhou Xinyi’s bodyguards had rushed out. The leading middle-aged man scanned the area, saw the man in black on the ceiling, and coldly ordered, "Over there, catch him!"

Instantly, the dozen or so bodyguards charged over, but the man in black seized a rope and swung down, a dagger now in hand, swiftly brandishing it to repel the bodyguards while rapidly heading for the exit of the auditorium.

At this moment, the entire auditorium descended into chaos, with large numbers of students scrambling in all directions, creating a disorderly mess.

"Miss, are you alright?"

The middle-aged man in a black suit looked at Zhou Xinyi with concern and spoke with a sharp gleam in his eyes, giving Xiao Yifeng a quick glance.

Zhou Xinyi was still in Xiao Yifeng’s arms, somewhat shaken. Hearing the middle-aged man speak, she came to her senses.

"Uncle Wu, I’m fine," Zhou Xinyi said, shaking her head and looking at Xiao Yifeng. Seeing that they were still in each other’s arms, her face flushed slightly.

"Sorry about that."

Xiao Yifeng, noticing Zhou Xinyi’s gaze, quickly let her go.
