Chapter 243: Next Home Location

Kenzou could remind everyone that the balance of Tsukihana is also important to take into consideration.

On the next day, Claud reads Renzai’s brothers’ and Seiryuu’s minds to learn the location of the places they indicated for the palace.

Claud passes the first location to Kangki, and together they concentrate and create a portal for everyone to go.

Everyone faces the Plains of Tenkai, which was Kaikuro’s suggestion. It is located to the east of Tsukihina. They can see green mountains in the west. They stand on a vast golden field that moves like silk in the wind. Stretching to the horizon, the plains are lined with trader roads of beaten soil, linking the outer villages of Tsukihana.

"It is so windy here." Hopin says and takes a deep breath. "And smells good."

"I agree. It is so beautiful, too. Those mountains look like giant emeralds." Astri says.

"We call them Emerald Mountains." Kaikuro says, and points at the field. "Wildflowers of every hue bloom across the land in spring."

"I can imagine it is very pretty. It already is even without flowers." Yuki mentions.

"In that direction, there’s a village that has rice fields, so you can have delivery of rice easily." Kaikuro points in the direction of the south in the distance.

"What I like here is that the field would be easy to sit in and start building the foundation. However, we need to find a water source to really decide where to build the palace." Claud says.

"How long is the ocean from here?" Beau asks.

"Less than a day on foot. And the Shrine I stay at is also a day’s walk from here." Kaikuro answers.

"That is nice. You and Koa can go to the ocean without needing Kangki or Claud’s help if you want." Astri says.

"We will be getting gems from United Tribes’ businesses. We don’t need to be so close to the ocean to keep our salt market, but it would be nice for Beau and Koa, indeed." Lee says.

"It will be easier to visit you through the ocean, too." Renzai also mentions.

After pondering and walking around a little bit more, they decide to go to the next location.

Kangki and Claud open another portal, and they go to the woods located on the roots of a mountain behind the Jade Palace.

The woods are quiet and virgin. The wind is soft, and the trees are tall and have orange leaves, showing that it’s autumn.

Wayde smiles, listening to the trees talking to each other.

"I like here. The trees are old, and I can hear them talking to each other about us, already." Wayde says.

"There are trees for a very long distance. Can you feel it?" Astri asks Wayde.

"Yes. They could be great messengers for us" Wayde answers.

"I can smell a river nearby. That is good." Dieg says.

"The only bad thing is that is far from any road. But it is only two days on foot from the Jade Palace." Seiryuu answers.

"It feels very peaceful here. We will have to open space for the Palace, but it will also be the materials for the building." Cyprian says.

"It will be hard to bring other materials here. It will be a long construction." Renhou says.

"We have three dragons to carry things. It won’t take as long." Galion mentions, pointing at himself, Cyprian, Caris, and Carist.

They keep bringing up ideas and possibilities of that place. Astri noted everything and then they decided to go to the last location, which is Renhou’s suggestion.

When Astri looked at the place, it was like she always knew. The place has many old trees too, but it also has a wide valley with and in spring, probably has many wild flowers. The place is nestled at the foot of Mount Sairyuu, and there’s a confluence of three different rivers.

"You liked it here." Claud says to Astri, watching her reaction to the place.

"Yes, I love it. The other places are beautiful, but here it feels like perfect." Astri says, looking around.

"Once, very long ago, this place was also one of the options to be the location of the Castle of Mizu Clan because of the confluence of rivers Yugami, Aroka, and Setsunai. The Sacred River was chosen to be the main river of Tsukina because it ends where other rivers start and also connects to the ocean somehow." Renzai explains.

"Making a Sacred Palace here will make the balance of this realm even stronger. The Mizuryuus from one side, and the Goddess’ Palace from the other side." Kenzou says.

"It makes total sense, indeed." Seiryuu admits.

"It is a bit far from people, but we can redirect a road to come here. There’s a village 2 days from here. That also sells rice." Renhou says.

Astri and her family walk to the river and look at it. The water is crystal clear, it looks like it can reflect someone’s thoughts. The whole terrain looks unspoiled and deeply serene. The earth looks fertile and rich with tall grass, ferns, and wheat stalks.

Everyone liked the place; it feels like a nice place to live.

"I think it is decided. Right?" Claud asks all his family, and they answer with a nod.

It was unanimous. That place is perfect for a restart and a new home.

Astri is feeling well now with the decision to build a new home. It will take a little long, but she’s feeling good energies from this. Nature is telling her constantly that she deserves that and her family, too.

Astri wants to fly, so Lee opens his kimono and removes only his arms from it, and lets the upper half hang on his waist. He carries her princess style and then flies up to the sky. Kangki, Claud, Cyprian, Galion, Caris and Carist, and Albus fly up with them after doing the same as Lee.

"Look at this view. It is so beautiful." Astri says.

"And calm." Cyprian mentions.

The others agree. After checking the area a little, they decide to go back to the castle to start preparations.

After two more days, Astri asks to go back to United Tribes because she wants her workshop back. She loves drawing, painting, and training, but she wants to go back to building her projects.

Renzai and Seiryuu are very curious to know how the castle where they live is. Astri invites them to come if they want to see it so badly. They also want to see the Nature’s Shield.

When they return to the castle of the United Tribes, Seiryuu and Renzai can see that the place is rustic but very warm. They can see that a family lives there and not only people, even the guards look like part of the family by the way everyone greets each other.

Astri and Claud take Renzai and Seiryuu to look around the castle. When they get to the backyard, Renzai and Seiryuu could sense that it has a more disturbed energy.

"Normally, areas near the water are more balanced or more disturbed depending on what happened around the area. Here feels disturbed." Renzai mentions.

"This is where Baal appeared and fought with us and Astri.. This is where Astri’s soul was broken." Claud answers slowly, with a hidden, pained voice.

"Now I understand. It would be nice for someone to come live here and purify the place for some time; however, you can’t do that because you don’t feel fine here." Seiryuu says.

"You’re not wrong affirming that." Claud answers.

"I know it has not been long since you are back together with Lady Astri, but someday you will need to reevaluate what happened inside of you. This place is not a bad place for a family to live if they want to live here." Renzai says.

"You are also right. We are working on that."

Astri only smiles and links her arm with Claud’s, and he smiles back.

"This is for you to see that my presence is not entirely responsible for a place’s balance. What I most desired was to come back home. What I see as a home, they see as a painful memory. And I respect that." Astri says.

"It is true. The presence of people who purify energies is important, but not the only factor responsible for a place’s balance." Renzai nods.

Dieg goes to his parents’ cave to invite them over to have dinner and meet Renzai and Seiryuu.

"Son! You are back! What are these clothes?" Shung asks.

"Oh, these? It is clothes from the Tsukihina realm." Dieg says, looking at himself.

"Isn’t it hard to move on these?"

"I got used to it. Even if it was extremely hard to walk on these, I would use them because Astri likes it. If you saw the way she looked at me when she saw me in these, you would understand."

Shung chuckles.

"I see. Then wear it, always. You spent several days away. I was worried something wrong was going to happen over there."

"No. Nothing bad. I came to bring you to meet Lords Renzai and Seiryuu. They are training us to become more balanced to keep where we live with good energies." Dieg says.

"Oh, nice. That is something good to learn."

"There is... one thing I want to let you know before you go.. A decision that we made after we spent this time in Tsukihina."

Shung and Fraz see that Dieg is feeling divided, and they become worried.
