Chapter 234: The Goddess Festival - Part 2

Even though Astri is not feeling entirely comfortable in this position, she understands the reasons they wanted to show her as someone special to them. Nature is constantly telling her that this is not wrong, that they are doing this with the right motives, and for this reason, Nature approves of it. They’re doing this both because they respect her as Nature’s Daughter and also because they like her as a dear friend.

"Some of you might be looking at me with doubts in your minds, since you saw me walking around you. But for that reason, I loved this place, too. Most of you treat those you don’t know with respect. And you should do that always, not because you might find someone like me accidentally. Lord Seijuurou, Lord Renzai, Lord Seiryuu, and other Shoguns might inspire us to follow the laws, keep the peace. But if the realm of Tsukihina is so prosperous and balanced, it is both because of its leaders and, also, because of you." She says, everyone is listening attentively. "Your everyday deeds. The small acts you do every day that are good." She smiles at some children that was watching her. "Your everyday play." Then she looks up at everyone again. "And your trust in your leaders that make this realm so good. If it wasn’t because of you, nothing would be possible. I’ll be eternally grateful for this sign of kindness. This festival looks lively, and I hope all of us have fun and keep feeding this world with good energies. And to show my appreciation..."

Astri raises her hands to chest height, then three lights appear in front of her, making everyone gasp. Medals in the form of a Pegasus appear, with golden and silver details, and each of them has a long golden collar wrapped with a thin line of silver spiraling around it.

The medals fly to Seiryuu, Renzai, and Seijuurou, slowly passing through their heads and landing on their chests.

"With these pedants, you can always contact me, dear friends. You only have to talk to it. It will also protect you against evil energies." She says.

They bow deeply to her, very grateful for what she gave them.

"And as for you.." She smiles at the people.

She raises her hands to the sky, and then several colorful lights appear above everyone. The lights started to fall slowly from the sky, like it was fireflies. Then the lights exploded into many colorful sparkles, making everyone gasp in amazement. Flowers fall from the explosions, too. The children laugh, raising their hands and trying to catch the flowers.

"Let’s have fun!" Astri says.

The crowd dispersed and went back to their activities. At the center of the village, where there are more food stalls and they also have a big bonfire, it is full of color and has handmade banners with drawings of the Spirit Tree.

"How pretty... The Spirit Tree. That’s amazing." Astri says, looking at the banners.

"The local artists gathered to make several of these. It’s how we are showing appreciation for the Spirit Tree bringing you to us." Renzai says.

"It deserves this. Very much. This means a lot." Astri smiles at him.

Astri noticed some barbecue stalls, bun stalls, and food that she had never seen in the village.

"We also asked the servants to come to the village and teach what they learned from you to the villagers. I hope you don’t mind." Seiryuu says to Astri.

"Not at all! I’m glad people enjoyed the ideas to the point of using them to sell. I want to try them!" Astri says, walking to the barbecue stall.

Everyone got skewers of meat and vegetables, then they tried the buns. Sweet nuts. They try pretty much everything. Astri takes off her jacket to go play with the children. She teaches them to make paper pinwheels. Once all of them finished, they ran holding their pinwheels up as they circled with the wind.

"If you don’t take her tonight, I’ll take your turn since I’ll be the next after you." Cyprian says in a low voice to Bono.

Bono chokes with his food and then coughs. Cyprian smiles.

"I understand that we were traveling, but it’s been almost five days since Wayde. Don’t make us wait. All of us miss her very much." Cyprian says.

"I know..." Bono softly says, after taking his breath back.

The dance around the fire started, and Astri pulled her children to dance, too. Then her spouses.

"Look at the people’s happiness just to have her here. It’s such a privilege of what we’re seeing. This festival will be in history." Renzai says to Seijuurou.

"It’s true. Her speech was inspiring, too. Made everyone see their importance." Seijuurou smiles.

After Astri was tired of dancing, she decided to rest, watching everyone having fun as a family.

"Thank you for bringing light to our people." Seijuurou says to Astri.

"Don’t need to thank me. The light was already in them. I just... reminded them." She says, shrugging her shoulders.

"And in doing so, reminded me why I accepted to be the Emperor."

"Aw... Have loads of children and teach them to be like you!" She plays, slapping his shoulder playfully, making him laugh.

The music is made with flutes and drums, making everything more lively. The villagers twirled in wide loops around the bonfire, laughing and singing.

Astri’s spouses come to her, and Seijuurou gives them space. Bono could stand next to her, and she holds his arm.

"You’ve changed, big guy." She says to him.

"I did... I got stronger, but.. only physically." He softly says.

She smiles. All of her spouses are traumatized because of her absence, and that shows on each of them differently.

"I know. You must only remember that nothing that is not physical makes you weak. You’re not weak for feeling that, too." She says, then hugs his waist.

He smiles, and hugs her, too.

"It’s terrifying.." He softly says.

"What is terrifying?" She asks.

"You can see me.. What I am inside the big guy. It’s terrifying because when I’m without you.. I don’t know who I am." He says, and she looks up to him. "It’s not terrifying because you can see me. If that was the reason, I would rather be terrified with you than fearless alone." He says, passing his finger on her hair.

She blushes at his words and smiles.

"Daaaaamnnn!!" Dieg says, amazed.

"By my wings!! How can you be so romantic in front of us?!" Lee asks.

"Who would say the most brute would also be the most romantic?" Beau jokes.

Bono sighs, remembering that all of them were there. For a moment, he thought he was alone with Astri.

"Keep going. I’m actually learning." Tyr says.

"Shut up." Bono says, slightly chuckling, then looking at the dance again.

"That was smooth. I must admit." Lee says, actually impressed.

"Very." Claud chuckles.

"Finally the line will move.." Zin mumbles, making all of them laugh.

Late of night, everyone goes back to the castle. After giving everyone goodnight, Astri starts walking to her bedroom, and then she senses that there’s only one presence behind her. When she looked to see who it was, she smiled.

"So.. my romantic dino is the next in the line.."

"Yes.. I have no idea what I am going to do.." He admits, awkwardly.

She chuckles, she turns, and then jumps on him, and he carries her princess style. She kisses his strong chin.

"I’m sure you will do just fine.." She says in a low voice.

He smiles, and then smells her neck. She looks at the bathtub and wonders if they will fit together in there.

"Humm.. We need to try, right?" She says to herself.

"Try what?" He asks, curious.

"Come." She says, pulling him by his hand.

She fills the bathtub with hot water with her powers.

"I can help you bathe." He says, with his mouth filling with water, just imagining her naked.

"You will come inside with me, big guy." She says, walking to him.

"Will we fit?"

"That’s what we need to try." She giggles, hugging him.

He chuckles, then hugs her by the waist, raising her to him, and kisses her lips deeply. He undresses her slowly, and does not hold his desire to taste her smooth skin. He removes his clothes, too, and he hugs her. Her skin looks even whiter next to his.

Bono drools seeing her naked body, feeling privileged for being the one to see her body. He carries her to the bathtub and then sits inside of it with her.

The scene of both of them inside the bathtub is comical; the water overflowed, and she stays in a little space between his legs. They laugh together.

"Well, we fit." She giggles.

"You see the best even in the most cramped spaces." He says.

"Of course. I’m happy that we can laugh together at something fun."

She says, leaning forward and kissing his lips. He holds her while they kiss deeply, and pulls her to his chest, supporting his back on the bathtub.

Feeling her body on him makes his body react differently. He wants to keep her glued to him forever, and he can’t wait to try more of her skin, but now he needs to concentrate on washing her.
