Beastmaster King
Chapter 379 - The Overpowered Six-Paths Flower Leaves Bai Lu Stunned

Chapter 379 - The Overpowered Six-Paths Flower Leaves Bai Lu Stunned

Lu Ran was taken aback.

Sister Flower wants to fight?

He had indeed considered it, but only as a last resort. He wanted to keep the Six-Paths Flower as his trump card. His request for a relay battle was also for this reason, but only if the Six-Paths Flower was willing.

However, he hadn’t expected the Six-Paths Flower to be so eager. The moment it saw Sudden Death King get crushed, it couldn’t wait to step in.

Let me see if I’ve gotten rusty...

“Hmm? Giving up already?”

Bai Lu was looking at the dazed Lu Ran, wondering if she had crushed his spirit. As the most talented genius on Blue Planet and the Divine Deer’s messenger, Lu Ran’s growth had been smooth sailing, according to rumors. He had likely never suffered such a loss against a peer before.

But Bai Lu thought this was a good thing. Making Lu Ran aware of the gap between himself and high-level beastmasters would prevent him from acting recklessly in the Stellar Moon World.

“No, it’s just that one of my familiars is very insistent on fighting,” Lu Ran said awkwardly.

“Oh? Then bring it on. Is it that dog with the domain?” Bai Lu asked dismissively.

“No. That one probably stands no chance against the divine wood snake. But this one... Well, Senior Bai Lu, I hope you won’t cry...” Lu Ran grinned.

It was the Six-Paths Flower’s own decision to fight. It wasn’t him bullying his senior.

As he spoke, Lu Ran began summoning his most powerful familiar. Under Bai Lu’s indifferent gaze, the Six-Paths Flower materialized.

“You talk big...” Bai Lu had just started speaking when she suddenly fell silent. Her expression shifted from calm to utter disbelief.

“Quasi-Legendary? You have a quasi-Legendary familiar?” she blurted out, stunned.

[Species: Six-Paths Flower]

[Attribute: Grass]

[Species Rank: Quasi-Legendary]

[Level: 50]

Bai Lu was stunned. Among Legendary powerhouses and divine messengers like her, Superior Overlords weren’t rare, but quasi-Legendary familiars were still exceedingly scarce. Even now, after having reached level 6, she hadn’t managed to evolve a quasi-Legendary familiar. Yet, Lu Ran in front of her possessed one.

“Quasi-Legendary... So this is where your confidence comes from?” Bai Lu murmured, her expression turning grave.

With a wave of her hand, she commanded, “Divine Wood Binding Kill!”

The ground split open once more, and nine snake-like vines erupted from nine directions, all lunging at the Six-Paths Flower.

A quasi-Legendary is just a quasi-Legendary, not a true Legendary. Not to mention, its level is low. There’s nothing to fear.

Although the divine wood snake sensed something off, its fighting spirit remained unshaken. It focused solely on itself, not external forces. The energy it formed was also its own and not cross-species manifestations. Those nine lifelike wooden snakes were like its clones, each exuding a fierce aura.

However, even when faced with the divine wood snake’s encirclement, the Six-Paths Flower remained calm. It simply spread its arms slightly, releasing ripples of yellow energy. A wave of deathly power instantly swept outward.

The wooden snakes that came into contact with these ripples rapidly decayed, crumbling into splinters as if aged from vibrant wood to rotten timber in an instant.

Bai Lu’s eyes widened. “Death energy... Time energy...”

Roar!

She was shocked by what she saw, but Bai Lu and her snake were stubborn. While the Six-Paths Flower’s attention was on the nine wooden snakes, the divine wood snake’s main body had already burrowed through space. A massive head emerged above the Six-Paths Flower, its maw gaping wide for a vicious strike.

Seal.

Yet, the divine wood snake’s movements seemed entirely within the Six-Paths Flower’s expectations. With a slight upward glance and a single word, the spatial rift from which the snake’s head emerged began to close rapidly.

The abrupt closure left the divine wood snake’s biting head frozen in shock before it was cleanly severed from its body by the spatial fissure.

Holy shit. This is complete domination.

Even Manager Ying, watching from the sidelines, was stunned by the Six-Paths Flower’s power.

Bai Lu was equally dumbfounded. The next moment, she activated a beastmaster skill, synergizing with the divine wood snake’s innate ability. The severed snake’s head regenerated instantly, splitting into two colossal snakes. But now, both snakes stared at the Six-Paths Flower with undisguised wariness.

I have to use its domain...

Bai Lu felt immense pressure. She looked at the smirking Lu Ran across from her, unable to comprehend why he had such a terrifying familiar.

“Divine Wood Domain.”

Faced with the Six-Paths Flower’s overwhelming strength, the divine wood snake unleashed the same domain it had used to counter Sudden Death King’s retaliation earlier.

Within this domain, its attribute was amplified multiple times by Space energy, and countless divine wood constructs would sprout chaotically in the void for offense and defense. It was a straightforward amplification-type domain.

Bai Lu had always prided herself on her domain mastery, but now she realized what it meant to meet her match. Before the Divine Wood Domain could even expand, a scorching domain materialized out of nowhere, swallowing it whole.

In the blink of an eye, a giant snake, charred black from the blistering hellfire, collapsed to the ground, accompanied by a pained hiss. The divine wood constructs in the void turned to ash.

“Not bad. My body hasn’t rusted too much in actual combat,” the Six-Paths Flower mused after the battle, sounding pleased with itself.

Bai Lu’s expression twisted. She stared at the Six-Paths Flower, her mind reeling.

The Six-Paths Flower might be satisfied, but Bai Lu, now the one on the receiving end of a beating, was utterly horrified. The scene overlapped with memories of the Divine Deer personally training her. It felt as if a pair of Legendary-rank eyes were gazing down at her from the darkness, suffocating her.

“What kind of joke is this? This is a Quasi-Legendary?”

She knew quasi-Legendary familiars were strong, but the Six-Paths Flower’s power defied comprehension. Bai Lu couldn’t accept it. Even that level 70 cat from the rumors couldn’t unleash such combat prowess.

“What is this familiar of yours?” she demanded, sweat dripping down her face.

“Good match, Senior Bai Lu,” Lu Ran said hastily, recalling the Six-Paths Flower who had merely been stretching its limbs.

He was secretly amazed by its strength.

As expected of a boss who reincarnated with level 99 experience. Suppressing an opponent over twenty levels higher was effortless.

He wondered how much stronger the Six-Paths Flower would become if he used that Time Fruit on it to boost its level further.

“Don’t call me ‘Senior’!” Bai Lu bit her lip, her composure crumbling.

Just what is that plant familiar? How is it on a completely different level from that dragon? Are these really familiars of the same beastmaster?

“Its situation is... unique. It is a bit strong, and it’s hard to explain. If you’re curious, Senior Bai Lu, you can ask Lord Divine Deer later. Also, please keep the Six-Paths Flower’s existence a secret,” Lu Ran said with a smile.

It’s not like I wanted to fight! You guys pushed for it! Don’t blame me!

As Bai Lu’s mental state collapsed, Manager Ying, who had been watching the entire time, stifled a laugh.

As expected, even in the Stellar Moon World, Lu Ran is a menace. Now he’s gone and baffled one of the world’s top talents. Then again, Bai Lu is just the Divine Deer’s messenger. This guy is Limitless City’s favorite son...

Some time later, Bai Lu was still questioning her life choices. She had intended to showcase her strength to the newcomer, cementing her authority, but instead, she had suffered a crushing defeat. It was impossible for her not to be shaken. Especially since Lu Ran kept rubbing salt in the wound.

“Senior Bai Lu, have you ever challenged a Legendary secret realm? Do you think the Six-Paths Flower and I stand a chance?”

“You... want to challenge a Legendary secret realm in the Stellar Moon World?” Bai Lu stared at him, dumbfounded.

“Not a chance. That quasi-Legendary familiar of yours is strong, but there’s a qualitative gap between Legendary and non-Legendary. Don’t do anything reckless!

“As for Legendary secret realms, I’ve never challenged one. Lord Divine Deer forbade it. In fact, many of the Stellar Moon World’s geniuses and Mythical beastmasters have suffered severe injuries attempting them. Even if you beat me, I’d advise against even thinking about Legendary secret realms. Unless... Unless it evolves into a Legendary familiar.”

Seeing how seriously Bai Lu—and even the Divine Deer—treated Legendary secret realms, he said, “In that case, I won’t recklessly attempt one. I’ll wait until the Six-Paths Flower evolves to Legendary before trying.”

“L-Legendary?” Bai Lu was baffled.

After the battle, once they confirmed Bai Lu had recovered, Lu Ran and Manager Ying didn’t linger and soon took their leave.

Although, “recovered” was relative. Bai Lu was still bewildered. She couldn’t understand why Lu Ran was so confident about evolving the Six-Paths Flower to Legendary. Even if Blue Planet’s Limitless City had evolution secret realms, reaching the Legendary rank wasn’t something so easily achieved.

“But... What if they do succeed...?” Bai Lu froze, then fell silent.

If Lu Ran, a beastmaster from Blue Planet, actually cleared a Legendary secret realm in the Stellar Moon World, it would be like dropping a nuclear bomb on the Stellar Moon Federation.

Bai Lu was at a loss. She hurried into the Clear Spring Valley, intending to report to the Divine Deer.

Lu Ran is actually considering cross-world secret realm challenges! How is this ‘laying low’? This guy is nothing like the intel suggested!

But when she entered the valley, the Divine Deer, now in its tree form, seemed to already know her purpose.

“Let them go. Legendary secret realms are also part of exploring Limitless City.”

“Lord Divine Deer, they—” Bai Lu was stunned.

Lord Divine Deer is allowing this?

“The Six-Paths Flower is a lifeform Lu Ran brought out from a secret realm. Its original identity was the God of Six Paths, a being on par with the divine tree. This is one of his opportunities. As he said, keep this confidential for now. If word spreads, it will cause an uproar in the Stellar Moon World.

“But once they clear the Legendary secret realm, the name ‘God of Six Paths’ will once again resound across the Stellar Moon World...”

The Divine Deer’s words sent Bai Lu’s mind into chaos.

The God of Six Paths on par with the divine tree? What kind of joke is this? How can a human contract something like that? Just what is Lu Ran exactly... Did you really train this monster, my Lord?

“对了,我没钱!”路上,路然突然发现了盲点。

“不过算了,刚才暴毙王掉了不少鳞片,把资源换吧。”

“你等等!安全起见,不要乱卖你宠兽身上的零件!给我卖你从秘境到手的垃圾材料。”滢店长无力道,就会欺负暴毙王是吧,暴毙王......为这个家付出太多了。

Meanwhile, Lu Ran and Manager Ying were already on their way to the Mechanical Capital, Rhodes City. This city was on the route to the Endless Sea. Since Bai Lu hadn’t yet secured the mechanical ruin slot for them, Lu Ran planned to buy a mechanical lightsaber for Captain Doofus first.

Lu Ran suddenly realized. “Wait, I don’t have any money! Oh well. Sudden Death King shed a lot of scales earlier. I’ll just trade those for resources.”

“Hold on! For safety’s sake, don’t just sell your familiar’s body parts! Sell the junk materials you got from secret realms instead,” Manager Ying said, exasperated.

Always bullying Sudden Death King, huh? Sudden Death King... sacrifices so much for this household.
