Chapter 370 - Temporary Farewell to Blue Planet, the Beastmaster King Makes His Entrance
At the same time Lu Ran and his team completed their secret realm challenge.
[Regional Announcement: Heavenly Familiar Rankings, Overlord Species Rankings Updated.]
The Beastmaster Square in Limitless City also broadcasted the announcement, drawing the attention of beastmasters from various nations.
[Heavenly Familiar Added]
[Species: Catastrophe Sprite]
[Attributes: Water, Wind, Ice, Lightning]
[Species Rank: Superior Overlord]
[Level: 50]
[Beastmaster: Pedestrian A]
[Reason for Inclusion: Evolved from a weather sprite, wields catastrophe power. In the Hell difficulty level 4 secret realm, Dragonman Tribe, annihilated over ten thousand dragonmen in an instant with a lightning calamity.]
[Ranking set to first place of the Overlord Heavenly Familiar Ranking!]
Seeing how efficiently Lu Ran had secured the top spot for his new familiar in a regional ranking, many beastmasters were stunned.
“Damn, I knew Lu Ran would aim for a ranking in some Limitless City after the evolution, but this reason for ranking... 10,000?”
“Even if it had just instantly killed the boss, that would’ve been understandable, but... wiping out an entire secret realm of beasts?”
“I remember the Dragonman Tribe isn’t small, right? It’s not just a tribe—it’s a mountain range! How did he do it? Even if he could kill them all, how did he have enough energy? There were so many enemies...”
The beastmasters were baffled. Little did they know, Lu Ran had fused the Size-Shifting trait with Baby Cloud, which also granted it a new talent—increased energy capacity while in its enlarged state.
With Size Shifting, Nature Manipulation, Energy Capacity Boost, and Catastrophe Power, wiping out cities or nations with a single skill was no longer a pipe dream.
While Baby Cloud’s overpowered AOE abilities weren’t ideal for fighting opponents of similar strength, they were perfect for dealing with large-scale enemy forces. For example, if Lu Ran were to take on an entire beast empire alone, Baby Cloud would undoubtedly be more effective than his other familiars.
“Miss Bai Chuan got bumped to second place by Lu Ran... She’s probably crying her eyes out.”
“Poor thing. Let her cry, let her cry.”
As discussions continued in Beastmaster Square, Lu Ran, having achieved his goal, didn’t linger in Limitless City. He soon returned to Blue Planet with Baby Cloud.
Back in his room, Lu Ran stretched lazily and began making arrangements for other matters. That same day, he approached Master Jiang Dou with his plan for him to “bring glory to the nation.”
Master Jiang Dou was thrilled. “Ha! Piece of cake. You have no idea how many Eagle Federation bastards I cut down back when I traveled the world challenging swordsmen.”
Lu Ran grinned. “Glad to hear it. I’ll send you some growth resources later. Oh, and there’s one more thing...”
Lu Ran then explained his request for Master Jiang Dou to solo a level 2 Legendary secret realm to acquire a trait crystal for him.
Master Jiang Dou laughed heartily. “So, even you have to ask for my help sometimes. Sure, soloing a Legendary secret realm? Leave it to me. Just wait for your resources.”
“Master, don’t get too cocky. Wait until your sword spirit undergoes its first evolution before attempting it. Take your time. Even if you miss this secret realm, there’ll be others. Your safety comes first,” Lu Ran reminded him.
“Got it. By the way, who are my other two teammates? Your bet with that Eagle Federation guy is a 3v3, right?”
“Oh, right. One is Fang Lan, but she’s still in the ascension realm, so I haven’t had the chance to talk to her yet. The last one... I’m thinking Xia Ri might be a good fit? I can forge a spear for her and let her nurture a weapon spirit in the Other Shore Secret Realm herself.”
“That girl? She’s talented enough.” Master Jiang Dou nodded in approval.
“Then it’s settled.” Lu Ran confirmed.
“Do you have a crush on her or something?”
“Huh? Nonsense!” Lu Ran was taken aback.
Xia Ri had worked as his chef, teamed up with Fang Lan, and was the disciple of Master Jiang Dou’s old friend. At the very least, she was familiar to him. Her spear talent, combined with an Undead-attribute spear, would make her a formidable fighter.
With the team decided, Lu Ran wasn’t in a hurry to head to the Stellar Moon. He planned to spend half a day forging a soul weapon first, giving Xia Ri time to nurture the weapon spirit herself.
As for Fang Lan, he wouldn’t give her a soul weapon just yet. He wasn’t sure what weapon suited her or what she preferred. Plus, his current forging skills only allowed him to create Treasure weapons at best. Since there was still plenty of time, Lu Ran decided to wait until he could forge Epic weapons before giving Fang Lan a proper setup.
The next day, at Beastmaster University.
Xia Ri, the prodigious spear-wielding girl of Xia, received a call from Lu Ran. She was both surprised and delighted. Although they had interacted briefly in the past, their paths had diverged as Lu Ran grew busier.
“Caw! Chef Xia, you there? This is General Dark Crow, the right-hand man of the Beastmaster King!”
Xia Ri’s vision darkened the moment she heard the voice—it wasn’t Lu Ran’s but his crow’s.
“General Dark Crow, what’s the matter?” She took a deep breath.
“Have you seen the news about the bet between the king and the Eagle Federation’s president, Oub?”
“I have.”
“We’re short one person for the team. Want in?”
“I don’t have an Undead-attribute familiar.”
“Don’t worry. The king has prepared a divine soul spear for you—one that can nurture a weapon spirit. The main materials are the teeth and claws of the two Superior Overlords, Tiger Emperor and Crocodile Ancestor.
“The quality will be top-tier Treasure grade, and the Undead-attribute spear spirit nurtured from it will rival a top-tier King familiar. Oh, and the spear will be of the Fire-Dark attribute. It’ll be custom-made for you.”
After Dark Crow finished, Xia Ri’s lips parted slightly, her heartbeat quickening. “This... is too generous.”
“Of course, it’s not free. Your cooking skills have my approval. You can repay the debt by cooking for my soldiers!” Dark Crow said nonchalantly.
Cooking... More of those dark culinary experiments, huh...?
“Deal!” Xia Ri agreed without hesitation.
For an Undead-attribute divine spear, she’d endure it. After some discussion, Dark Crow had a clone mail the spear embryo to her. Xia Ri was chosen not just for her clean background and culinary skills but also because Dark Crow felt the empire needed more than just combat talents—a few chefs were essential too. Food was the priority for the people.
With everything on Blue Planet settled, Lu Ran followed Manager Ying to the site of the cross-world teleportation array.
Standing before the underground altar, Lu Ran said, “Once we’re there... I’ll first see if I can enter their Limitless City and challenge their Mythical secret realms.”
Manager Ying rolled its eyes. “No rush. I doubt you’ll clear any before the Six-Paths Flower hatches. Speaking of which, have you been diligently incubating the egg? Why hasn’t there been any movement for so long?”
Lu Ran stared at the altar solemnly. “No rush for that, either. Actually, I’ve been thinking of asking the Divine Deer to help incubate it. It’s a Grass-attribute forest deity of life, after all. It might even boost the Six-Paths Flower’s potential... The path to Legendary is tough, so having a godmother to watch over it wouldn’t hurt...”
“Huh?” Manager Ying was speechless at Lu Ran’s shameless idea.
The Divine Deer made you its messenger, and you’re making it a mom? It treats you with sincerity, and you play mind games with it? Did you scheme like this when you asked me to help incubate Baby Cloud, too?
“In you go.”
Too exasperated to continue, Manager Ying leaped up and delivered a flying kick, sending Lu Ran into the teleportation array before hopping in itself.
A moment later, the array activated. One human and one cat bid a temporary farewell to Blue Planet, heading for the Stellar Moon World.

Meanwhile, at the cross-world teleportation altar in the Stellar Moon World, a squirrel sleeping in a corner opened its eyes as spatial fluctuations rippled through the air.
“Oh, you’re here?”
It yawned, curious to see what kind of messenger the Divine Deer had chosen from Blue Planet. Soon, as the spatial ripples solidified, Lu Ran and Manager Ying were tossed out of midair as if by a giant spatial hand.
“Meow!” Manager Ying landed gracefully.
“Holy shit!”
Lu Ran tried to land smoothly, too, but the wounds under his freshly removed bandages throbbed from the spatial pressure, causing him to stumble and faceplant.
If not for Manager Ying’s telekinesis catching him, Lu Ran would’ve hit the ground hard.
“Your injuries aren’t healed yet?” Manager Ying asked.
“They should’ve been, but I overexerted myself strengthening Baby Cloud in the evolution realm, and then forged a soul weapon right after. That delayed the healing,” Lu Ran whined.
“You two!” Squirrel God hopped forward, scrutinizing Lu Ran and Manager Ying under the glow of a firefly lamp. “He’s the messenger chosen by Sister Divine Deer? Why does he look a little... slow?”
Squirrel God was skeptical, but then it spotted the Broken Horn of the Divine Deer hanging around Lu Ran’s neck—proof of the Divine Deer’s trust.
“Squirrel God, kin of the Space Dragon!” Lu Ran stood up, pretending nothing had happened, and stared solemnly at the squirrel.
Calling me slow? I’ll remember this grudge for Captain Doofus.
“That’s me.” Squirrel God’s expression turned serious.
Whatever. If Sister Divine Deer chose him, it must have its reasons.
“I know why you’ve crossed worlds, but I must warn you to keep a low profile in the Stellar Moon World. Don’t cause trouble for us kin,” Squirrel God said sternly.
With the Four Supreme Divine Dragons missing, their kin’s divine boosts were gone, leaving them weaker than many Legendary divine beasts.
“Understood. We’ll stay out of trouble.” Manager Ying nodded quickly.
“Yeah, we’re not the type to show off or stir up trouble.” Lu Ran agreed earnestly.
Squirrel God relaxed. “Good. Then go look for Sister Divine Deer yourselves. I don’t know where it is now, but I’ve told the cat its favorite resting spots. Check them one by one and you’ll find it eventually.”
Lu Ran and Manager Ying exchanged glances. They’d definitely search for it, but first, Lu Ran couldn’t resist exploring this new world. He took out his identity card and activated the teleportation function.
A moment later, his face lit up with joy. Even though he was a Blue Planet beastmaster, his identity card still worked here. He could enter Limitless City from the Stellar Moon Federation!
Soon, Lu Ran’s figure vanished from the spot, reappearing in Pedestrian A’s private room. Once inside, he hurried to the secret realm system and browsed the level 4 secret realms.
“All unfamiliar secret realms... This is definitely the Stellar Moon Federation’s Limitless City. And...”
At the end of the system, Lu Ran found something labeled as “Mythical secret realms.” However, there seemed to be only 12 available, each corresponding to a Low Legendary being. None of them were Legendary divine beasts Lu Ran recognized, but according to intel, these 12, resembling the zodiac gods, were faith-based deities who had perished in history.
Although they hadn’t survived to the present day, that didn’t mean they were weak. One participant had picked the seemingly easier Thief God Rat, only to find all their resources stolen from their storage after defeat.
Later, another beastmaster entered empty-handed, only to have their skills and their familiar’s skill experience stolen, reducing them to weaklings.
Lu Ran shook his head slightly.
Even Lower Legendaries are terrifyingly powerful.
“Scary stuff. First things first, though. Let’s change my ID.”
In Limitless City, spending 10,000 crystal coins allowed a name change. Most wouldn’t waste money on it, even if top beastmasters could afford it easily. But since Lu Ran planned to be active in the Stellar Moon City’s Limitless City, he couldn’t keep using the Pedestrian A alias.
After some thought, he erased “Pedestrian A” from his identity card and typed two words.
[Spend 10,000 crystal coins to change ID from “Pedestrian A” to “Beastmaster King”?]
Yes.
Instantly, his identity card was updated, and “Beastmaster King” became his new alias. A smile tugged at his lips.
Damn. No one’s taken this name? The people of this world must be very humble.
