Beast God
Chapter 14: Blood Palm

In the grassland area where the Evil Cute Rabbits appeared, Chen Guan stared intently at an ordinary Evil Cute Rabbit charging at him wildly, secretly activating the secret skill Blood Palm.

Primordial Energy was drawn out and infused into his right hand. The originally ordinary right palm suddenly seemed inflated, swelling noticeably larger than the left hand. Moreover, the palm looked overly congested with blood, turning into a strange purplish-red color, giving off a weird and terrifying appearance.

Smack!

The Evil Cute Rabbit leapt up and pounced fiercely, but Chen Guan’s purplish-red right palm directly slapped it on the top of its head. The rabbit’s head was actually slammed into its chest cavity. It fell to the ground like a headless monster, took two steps, and collapsed lifelessly on the spot.

“What a powerful Blood Palm!” Chen Guan rejoiced inwardly. The power of the Blood Palm did not disappoint him. Even though it was only a level 1 Blood Palm, it already had such imposing strength. A level 3 Evil Cute Rabbit couldn’t even block a single strike; its head was slammed into its chest cavity. It was truly domineering.

Unlike the secret skills of mystical spirits, the secret skills obtained by humans through secret technique cores are all initially at level 1. One must practice to improve the skill’s level. The higher the level, the stronger the skill’s power.

Of course, if one’s own level is high, even using a level 1 secret skill can be very powerful.

Chen Guan felt his Primordial Energy inside was a bit weak. Currently, he had less than three points of Primordial Energy in total. One Blood Palm consumed 1.6 points, so continuous use was impossible.

However, thanks to the existence of the Stealth Kill Art, after killing the Evil Cute Rabbit, some of the Primordial Energy that floated out from the rabbit’s body was absorbed back into Chen Guan’s body. Almost instantly, it replenished the consumed energy, even leaving a surplus. With the Stealth Kill Art running, it nourished Chen Guan’s body, strengthened his physique, and expanded the upper limit of Primordial Energy his body could endure.

“Old Bird said his Stealth Kill Art can only absorb about one-tenth or one-twelfth of the floating Primordial Energy released by the slain mystical spirit, and converting it into his own energy causes an eighty to ninety percent loss. So the actual amount gained each time is very small and requires time to digest.”

“But I only killed one level 3 Evil Cute Rabbit and instantly absorbed and converted so much energy. It must be more than just one-tenth or one-twelfth. It seems the Immortal Stealth Kill Art is far more powerful than Old Bird’s Stealth Kill Art. If this keeps up, as long as I can kill enemies with one strike, I can use the Blood Palm skill infinitely through the energy plundering of the Immortal Stealth Kill Art, effectively achieving unlimited secret skill usage…”

Chen Guan decided to test it and searched for other Evil Cute Rabbits to experiment on. Sure enough, as he expected, as long as he could kill enemies in one strike, the energy stolen by his Stealth Kill Art could support him in continuously using Blood Palm.

After using Blood Palm more than a dozen times and killing over a dozen level 2 to 3 Evil Cute Rabbits, Chen Guan’s level rose to 3, and his Primordial Energy reached 4.88. Even without the aid of the Stealth Kill Art, he could still consecutively use Blood Palm three times.

The Blood Palm skill was still level 1 and required proficiency to raise its level. It was unknown how many uses it would take to reach level 2.

With the Stealth Kill Art’s support, Chen Guan could use Blood Palm continuously. His proficiency increased much faster than others, and leveling up in combat was the fastest. He could fight to improve his skill, almost achieving infinite endurance.

Killing Evil Cute Rabbits was somewhat a waste of time for Chen Guan. The drop rate was too low, and the energy gained was too little, no longer satisfying his needs.

However, Chen Guan had limited knowledge of the island’s regions. He had asked Old Bird about the general situation earlier but hadn’t expected them to separate so quickly. If he wandered around recklessly and stumbled into dangerous areas, he might lose his life.

“Old Bird said that eastward there is a Peacock Forest, where the mystical spirits are Spirit-Eyed Peacocks. Their levels range from 5 to 7, which should be suitable for my current level to cultivate.” Chen Guan pondered for a moment and then sent Rouge to scout in one direction.

Before reaching the Peacock Forest, from a distance near the mountain stream beside the woods, Chen Guan saw a brilliantly colored peacock drinking water by the creek.

The peacock’s feathers were black, green, blue, purple, and cyan, interwoven into the peacock plumage emitting a strange, dreamlike luster. Its claws were dark-colored. Occasionally, when it spread its tail feathers, the eye-like patterns formed by the five colors shimmered deeply, like eyes from the abyss of hell, as if even its gaze could absorb one’s sight.

The peacock’s real eyes were narrow and long, with jet-black pupils. There was a vertical streak on its forehead, with the five colors weaving together like a vertically shifting eye. Its appearance was very eerie.

Chen Guan hid behind a large stone, secretly observing it, feeling somewhat astonished. “Old Bird said the Spirit-Eyed Peacocks come in three types: white Spirit-Eyed Peacocks at level 5, green ones at level 6, and blue ones at level 7. This peacock has five-color illusions, clearly not belonging to those three types. It should be a high-quality mystical spirit, but I don’t know if it’s rare or unique, nor do I know its level. The island’s mystical spirits truly have many high-quality ones. Being able to teleport here is lucky. Elsewhere, finding high-quality mystical spirits wouldn’t be so easy.”

As his thoughts shifted, Rouge charged at the Spirit-Eyed Peacock with the Bloodsucking Blade. Chen Guan stayed behind the stone, watching from afar. Such a dangerous task was not something he would do himself.

Rouge leapt up, gathering all her strength, swinging the Bloodsucking Blade wildly at the Spirit-Eyed Peacock with force like splitting Mount Hua.

The Spirit-Eyed Peacock flapped its wings fiercely. Its claws moved quickly like a ballet dancer’s, dodging Rouge’s strike at its head.

Unfortunately, though it dodged the initial blow, it didn’t avoid Rouge’s horizontal slash that followed. The Bloodsucking Blade cut through like lightning, and the peacock’s head flew into the air with blood.

Chen Guan couldn’t help but praise Rouge. After being motivated, she was still too comprehensive.

As the Spirit-Eyed Peacock’s corpse collapsed, suddenly five-colored particles flew out from its body, converging into Chen Guan’s hand. After a moment, they transformed into a five-colored secret core, which Chen Guan held in his hand.

Chen Guan was a little surprised. He knew the Spirit-Eyed Peacock was high quality but hadn’t expected it to be a singularly precious item. Such a mystical spirit was cut down by Rouge without much display. Rouge’s combat power was indeed overwhelming.

Great Peacock Heart Seal — Inner Binding Fist Heart Seal: Rare secret technique.

A rare-quality secret technique was already quite good for ordinary people, but Chen Guan had little interest and put it away, continuing to have Rouge clear the path and hunt Spirit-Eyed Peacocks.

The encountered white peacock was no match. Rouge’s single slash killed it without a single reaction, not even leaving a breath for Chen Guan to finish it off.

Chen Guan had no choice but to fight the white peacock himself. The power of the Blood Palm was also impressive, but unfortunately, it wasn’t fast enough to hit the swift-moving white peacock.

Fortunately, Chen Guan’s current Primordial Energy could sustain three consecutive Blood Palm uses. The second strike landed on the white peacock, leaving a bloody palm print on its snowy white feathers.

The white peacock took a few steps after being struck but suddenly sprayed blood from its mouth. Its body went limp on the ground, twitching a few times before losing all breath and dying thoroughly.

The Blood Palm’s strike was soft yet forceful, with power penetrating directly to the lungs. It was tyrannical and extremely destructive.
