Chapter 285 - Chapter 285 Chapter 285 Nan Fei Stupid_1
Chapter 285: Chapter 285: Nan Fei Stupid_1 Chapter 285: Chapter 285: Nan Fei Stupid_1 Nan Fei, holding the firewood, glanced at Jiang Yang and immediately understood his intentions. Her beautiful eyes sparkled with surprised delight, “Brother, are you trying to teach me physics?”
Oh my god! Was she dreaming?
Even though she had no doubts that her brother was a genius, he was still so young, only having studied up to the third grade. How could he possibly know about stuff taught in senior year of high school?
She pinched her own thigh, and the pain confirmed that she wasn’t dreaming.
Jiang Yang shook his brand new physics book, his ruby red lips puckered up, seemingly looking quite helpless with his Sister Nan Fei.
“Dummy!” he said.
“Nan Fei is a dummy.”
“Sister Nan Fei is such a dummy.”
Nan Fei: “…”
Was she being looked down upon by her little brother?
“Alright you little fool, daring to call your smart, brilliant, lovely Sister Nan Fei a dummy, I’ll tickle you today.”
Nan Fei threw down the firewood, running over to Jiang Yang to tickle him. The usually solemn kid broke into uncontrollable laughter. He danced around to avoid her, wanting to laugh but wasn’t used to doing so. His face strained into a stiff smirk.
He was adorable, yet helpless.
Zhang Fengmei, cooking in the kitchen, could not stand it anymore, “Enough! Nan Fei, leave your brother alone! Stop picking on him.”
“Mom, I’m doing this out of love, I wouldn’t dare bully him.” As Nan Fei was speaking, she noticed a bruise, treated with purple potion, on Zhang Fengmei’s arm.
The bruise was swollen, and with the purple potion applied over it, it looked even more horrifying.
Her eyes narrowed and her face turned gloomy as she grabbed Zhang Fengmei’s wrist, “Mom, what happened to your arm?”
“It’s nothing!” Zhang Fengmei quickly dropped her rolled-up sleeve to cover the bite mark.
Nan Fei was really fed up with her parents’ patience and temperance. It was because of their meekness and honesty that they allowed others to bully them time and again.
She abruptly stood up, pulled Zhang Fengmei’s sleeve up, her sharp eyes scanned the bruised area. Nan Fei knew her mother would not tell her the truth. Even if she asked her mother directly, she would only find ways to dodge her questions. She gave Zhuanzhuan a signal, indicating her to come out.
Once outside the kitchen, Nan Fei, with an icy tone, asked, “Zhuanzhuan, who bit mom’s arm?”
“It was Feng Hui.” Zhuanzhuan seemed to hold a lot of pent-up frustration, carefully explaining the whole incident to Nan Fei. This only made Nan Fei’s face darken more.
Lastly, angrily she said, “Our mother is an elder, how can we just let Feng Hui call her names and insult her? Are you guys idiots?”
Zhuanzhuan paused, countering, “Then what? When we were kids, wasn’t it always like this?”
Nan Fei frowned and pondered, suddenly she smiled, pointing at their uncle’s house, “You’re sure that’s how it always was? Have you forgotten what our aunt is best at?”
Zhuanzhuan’s eyes flashed with surprise, and then an inexplicable excitement. Her sister was completely different from before. When they were young, every time Jiang Minmin bullied her, she would always endure it, thinking about stepping back and broadening her horizons.
But in front of the greedy, retreating only leads to the abyss. She had mentioned it at the age of ten, but it had no effect. After that, she never said anything again.
She had always been the observer, quietly watching from the sidelines.
Never did she expect, after so many years, when a person’s character is already formed, very hard to change, her sister would still surprise her.
