Chapter 1323: Chapter 1342: Figure It Out
The old professor was quite angry just now, but after hearing what He Shasha said, he is not angry anymore. Others might not recognize this girl, but he had seen her information, so he recognized her. No wonder she dared to break someone’s rib during military training.
"What are you dazing for? Aren’t you coming with me?" He Shasha walked up to Nan Fei, spoke fiercely yet tenderly, "Get up! Let’s go!" She said, and directly pulled her away, leaving amidst the shock, astonishment, and admiration of everyone.
The three had walked far away before they heard the noise coming from the classroom.
"Alright! Let’s talk here." He Shasha stopped, leaning against the corridor wall, and asked angrily, "Where were you so early in the morning? Didn’t you know we were frantic looking for you?" Her eyes even started to redden slowly, and she rubbed her nose, looking very wronged.
Nan Fei was both annoyed and amused, "What? You’re crying? This doesn’t seem like the He Shasha I know."
Fu Xinwu looked at Nan Fei’s relaxed and smiling appearance, feeling uneasy inside, as if something was odd. But she couldn’t pinpoint it. But...this shouldn’t be the normal reaction, right?
"Are you... really okay?" Fu Xinwu asked worriedly.
"Of course, I’m fine." Nan Fei spread her arms and even deliberately turned around in front of them, boasting, "I’m very good! What could possibly be wrong with me?"
Fu Xinwu: "..."
He Shasha: "..."
The two exchanged a speechless look. So, were they worrying for nothing?
"I know you care about me." Nan Fei switched to a serious tone and explained, "But you really don’t have to worry. I’m not that fragile. No matter how difficult things are, I can get past them."
"Will you still go home?" He Shasha asked cautiously.
"Of course!" Nan Fei said matter-of-factly, "Of course, I’ll go back. My mom and my grandma are waiting for me at home!"
Hearing her not mention her father and sister, Fu Xinwu and He Shasha exchanged another look. It seemed that Nan Fei was still hurt.
"I know you’re worried about Zhuanzhuan being with my dad, right?" Nan Fei initiated, "Actually, it’s nothing. They are adults, and I did everything I could do before. They don’t need more from me. So, from now on, let it be! Everyone for themselves, I’m also tired."
"That’s good!" Fu Xinwu finally breathed a sigh of relief, speaking blithely, "That kind of father is better off gone!"
"Exactly!" He Shasha showed a fierce smile, "You should learn from me. When my old man treated me poorly, I even thought about killing him!"
Fu Xinwu: "..." Isn’t that too wild? Girl, are you really saying these things out loud?
"What about now?" Nan Fei purposefully asked.
"Now though he wants to make up to me, I can’t bother to care." She’s always been clear about love and hate, wanting to treat kindly those she likes, and disdaining those she dislikes.
She could get angry, could rage, but she would never torment herself with pain and sadness.
For a scumbag, hurting oneself is not worth it.
And family? If they don’t get along, friends can be even more important.
He Shasha looked at Nan Fei with a hint of worry in her eyes.
"Don’t worry!" Nan Fei gently slapped He Shasha’s cheek, "If you could let it go, couldn’t I? Don’t forget who it was that persuaded you back then. Since I could persuade you entirely, that means I can persuade myself too."
