Feng Qingxue realized she may have said too much and was about to elaborate further when she heard the children’s loud voices. She turned to Lu Jiang and said, "Call them in to wash their hands. I’ll bring the food and bread inside."

"I’ll get Tianjun and Acheng to help you!"

Lu Jiang left the kitchen and directly called out the names of Lu Tianjun and Guan Cheng, "Wash your hands and carry the meals!" He then instructed Lu Tianzhi to inform their father that the meal was ready.

"Alright!" Responding crisply with the thought of the fragrant meat they had already smelled, they all swiftly dropped their dung buckets, bamboo baskets, and back baskets that were filled with grass and wild vegetables from their shoulders and arms and placed them in the cool corner by the wall. They then washed their hands, served the dishes, or called others, all without Lu Jiang needing to worry about anything.

For a while before Feng Qingxue’s visit to Lu Jiang, Lu Tianjun’s father and brother were taken care of by Feng Qingxue. They had occasional feasts, which needless to say was more frequent for Feng Qingyun, while Guan Cheng and Guan Yu were completely focused on the bacon fried eggplant.

Guan Cheng, being older, was steady in his actions, while Guan Yu kept swallowing saliva.

"Let’s eat. Don’t just stare." The Lu family household head was the first to pick up the chopsticks, and put a chopstick-full of stir-fried sponge gourd into his mouth. Lu Jiang and Feng Qingxue then started to eat. They chose to eat the vegetables. The children, however, reached out for the bacon as if they were flying, without exception!

Guan Yu picked up a piece of bacon and after looking left and right, he put it into Feng Qingxue’s bowl and with his big bright eyes, he said, "Aunt, eat!"

He was a Guan family’s child. According to the Lu’s father, he looked very much like his father, while Lu Tianzhi resembled his mother. The eldest brother of the Guan family and his sister looked very much alike. As such, to outsiders, Lu Tianzhi and Guan Yu looked more like siblings even, in comparison with actual brothers due to their similar faces and noses. Also, their ages were quite close. Apart from Guan Yu being a bit shorter and thinner, they practically seemed like twins.

Moreover, both of them were very close to Feng Qingxue.

"Ayu is obedient. You should eat too!" Feng Qingxue picked a piece of meat for him, thought about it and picked one for Lu Tianzhi and Feng Qingyun respectively, "Eat while it’s hot, help me wash the dishes after we are finished."

The boy led them across the compound, past the clothesline filled with clothes and diapers, and to the front door of the main house. He then called out in a loud voice, "Doctor Wu, Doctor Wu, some people are looking for you. There’s a man in a wheelchair, likely a patient consulting you."
