Chapter 1250: Chapter 1250 Pre-departure Reminder 1
One child is easy to manage, three children are not, especially when they can walk.
After the New Year, the weather warmed up, and Dundun and Xiongxiong kept wanting to run outside. In the blink of an eye, they would vanish from the room, and the next thing I knew, they’d toddled out to the yard. Sometimes, they’d hold hands and keep moving outward, glancing around to see if an adult had caught them. Luckily, the main gate was always closed, so they couldn’t get out.
In this case, it was hard for Feng Qingxue to justify not taking them out, but when she did take them out, it was a struggle to keep an eye on all of them.
Fubao was too young, Zhuangzhuang needed to be carried, and Tian Ling was pregnant. With it being a late-age pregnancy, she was always extra cautious. If anything happened, Feng Qingxue couldn’t bear the responsibility. Who didn’t know that Lu Tianzhi was crazy? She was pregnant with her fourth child, coinciding with Jiu Hong’s promotion, and she wandered around the compound all day. She once nearly knocked down Bai Xue, who’s to say she wouldn’t target Tian Ling?
Lu Tianzhi was unreasonable and couldn’t be predicted by normal standards.
With the number of military family members in the compound increasing each year, who could guarantee that everyone was gentle, kind, and non-troublemaking?
Just as Feng Qingxue was fretting about not being able to take the children out to play, Guan Cheng, Lu Tianzhi, and Guan Yu arrived.
Lu’s father had considered that Feng Qingxue couldn’t handle the four children alone, especially with Zhuangzhuang being a particular concern. Thus, he instructed his sons to help out and watch over them until the weather warmed up a bit more before starting their journey home.
"Xibao wanted to come too, and he cried when we didn’t bring him." Lu Tianzhi said.
The moment she heard her eldest son had cried, Feng Qingxue felt heartbroken, "Was he crying badly? Did he feel better when you guys left?"
Guan Cheng hurriedly said, "Grandpa Lu told him we were coming to pick you and your siblings up, and Xibao immediately stopped crying. He wiped his tears and made us promise to bring you all back home. He said he’d disown us if we couldn’t."
Feng Qingxue grinned, "Home, we will definitely go home. We’ll set off at the beginning of April."
"That’s wonderful, it’s been a long time since our home was so lively." Guan Yu clapped his hands, clearly missing the days when Feng Qingxue was at home.
While they were talking, Guan Cheng felt something tighten around his leg.
He looked down and saw that either Dundun or Xiongxiong had latched onto his leg, little fingers pointing outside.
"That’s Erxiong, he wants to go play." Feng Qingxue said.
Guan Cheng caught on, "Alright, alright, big brother will take you out to play."
He extended a finger, and Xiongxiong grasped it immediately.
Dundun, who had been playing on the kang, saw this and shouted to Guan Yu, "Ah!"
Guan Yu got the message and lifted him down.
Dundun was somewhat better behaved, more placid. Xiongxiong, on the other hand, finally had the chance to let loose, and he had to be watched closely by Guan Cheng everywhere.
Leading the way were Guan Cheng and his brothers, holding onto Fubao, Dundun, and Xiongxiong, with Feng Qingxue following behind, cradling Zhuangzhuang; the procession was quite the sight.
The spring sun was warm, especially around midday.
Feng Qingxue often took the children to bask in the sun in the courtyard, but rarely went out, so once on the open grassland, the triplets started shouting excitedly. Dundun and Xiongxiong instantly flopped onto the grass.
Since they couldn’t get hurt from the fall, Feng Qingxue acted as if she hadn’t noticed.
"Dundun and Xiongxiong surely can run fast, can’t Zhuangzhuang walk yet?" Wang Sanbao, who was off duty and out for a walk that day, looked at Zhuangzhuang worriedly; his small face was so crystal clear, he hardly seemed real, "Zhuangzhuang is really growing up handsome."
"He’s also very clingy." Feng Qingxue smiled demurely.
Wang Sanbao clapped her hands to Zhuangzhuang, "How about coming down and walking, Zhuangzhuang? Look, your brothers are up ahead. Oh, Xiongxiong is even rolling on the grass, and you’re still letting Mom carry you. Aren’t you embarrassed?"
Zhuangzhuang’s response was to bury his face in Feng Qingxue’s embrace, turning his back to Wang Sanbao.
