When Xibao heard Mom call his name, he lifted his head from the bowl, his mouth smeared with rice as he blinked a pair of distinct black and white eyes, "Grandpa misses me, huh!"

Meaning Grandpa came to see me because he missed me.

Mr. Lu gave him a look and smiled with pursed lips, "Xibao, would you like to stay with Grandpa’s family for a while? All the grandpas and grandmas at home miss you so much, they’ve been urging Grandpa to come pick you up."

"Ah?" Xibao opened his mouth wide.

He wasn’t Fubao; of course, he understood the meaning behind Grandpa’s words.

Immediately, he turned his head towards Feng Qingxue, "Mom, Grandpa is taking us home."

His eyes rolled as he said this.

Feng Qingxue smiled and said, "Xibao, you’re so smart, how could you not understand what Grandpa means? Grandpa is here to take you home; Mom and your little brother and sister will stay here with Dad."

Xibao’s eyebrows instantly knitted together, "A family should be together, not apart!"

Feng Qingxue felt a stirring in her heart upon hearing this.

The sentence sounded familiar, like something she had said to her children after leaving the military. The exact words were: "Mom won’t work anymore and will stay at home with Xibao and Xibao’s little brother and sister every day. Before you grow up, our family will be together and not separate."

"But a whole bunch of grandpas and grandmas miss you; they want to see you!" Feng Qingxue said earnestly.

Xibao relaxed his brow, put down his chopsticks, and extended two fingers on his right hand, "I’m very clever; I have a solution!"

Mr. Lu asked him what his solution was, and he said joyfully, "Bring all the grandpas and grandmas here, by train, woo woo woo!"

"What’s the other solution?" Mr. Lu stifled a laugh.

"Grandpa takes Dad, Mom, little brother, and sister away too, along with Xibao." That way, we would all be together. Xibao once again affirmed his own cleverness, everyone got it right!

Feng Qingxue playfully pulled the conversation this way and that, "Dad has to work, and Mom needs to take care of the little brother; he’s too young to go out."

Xibao made an ’ah’ sound, his eyebrows instantly forming inverted V’s.

Mr. Lu laughed for a good while before speaking seriously, "Xibao, let Grandpa tell you, Grandpa is taking you home to stay for a while. Upon hearing Feng Qingxue’s words, Xibao suddenly jumped up, "Ah, Brother Xiaoyun!"
